Ester Alice:

I grinned widely as my eyes bored in the sea blue of Corbin’s. Dragging my blade down his, I jumped quickly backwards. Corbin moved his hands quickly forcing himself into offensive. Swinging his weapon I ducked under, digging my heel into his thigh I chopped at his chest. Arching his back the blade missed his stomach just barely. The full weight of his body was suddenly on me.

Kicking and punching Corbin came towards me, swinging his blade at me gracefully. I skipped back as quickly as I could trying to watch his movements. His foot swung rhythmically towards my nose. Biting my lip, I resisted the urge to back down and laugh like it was a joke. No, I was going to show him what I could do. Rushing forward, I jumped into the air kicking out with both legs.

He moved his arms liquidly pushing my legs away. I flipped through the air landing heavily on the floor. “Is that all you got?” He teased, straightening his posture into a relaxed position. I shook my head, “I’m only getting started!” A lie of course, but I wasn’t going to admit it. I placed my hand up gesturing for him to help me up. He splayed his hand towards me, a small glimmer in his eyes. Smirking I interlocked my fingers into his. Raising my body onto one leg, using his weight I jumped striking his chest.

Our hands detached instantly, I collapsed heavily rolling simultaneously on to my feet. “You sneaky little girl!” Corbin said through a fit of coughs. I grinned, “You sir, are a ‘lil to trusting!” Corbin flicked his hair out of his eyes falling into a defensive position. One I had never seen before. He instantly jumped forward my foot slipped in surprise. Regaining my composure, Corbin was close to my face. He moved fast!

He swang his arm towards me, I put my own up to protect myself. My fingers dug into his bare flesh. “Not so strong now, aye!” I lifted my brows in a simple taunting movement. Corbin laughed, “Just you wait.” I felt his foot slip under mine pulling it out from under me. I began to fall towards the ground, screaming out as he caught me.

His fingers jabbed my shoulders, I heard a quick click and fell heavily towards the ground. I stared blankly up into the sky. Corbin filled my site smiling widely. “You’ve just been neutralised!”

Caroline:

I felt the wet grassy field against my lump body. My eyes started to open slowly and noticed a small pink butterfly standing against the tip of my nose. A painful feeling happened at my back as I forced myself to stand up. It was cold and wet and felt the sore sensation all over me. I remember it now. I was knocked down by the wolves when I saw Blake lying on the ground with her feeble wings. I was terribly defeated that I ended up on a place I barely know.

It’s been days now… I think. My stomach lurched when I saw a bunch of bananas hanging across me.
I stretched gently. Ouch. My back.

I spread my wings and felt the cold air through my lungs. I needed to see them. I lifted my feet off the ground and started flying high. As I soar higher this time, I saw Ester and Corbin. I descended carefully until I felt my feet flat on the ground. I went to them with my feet wobbling as I get nearer to Ester and Corbin.

“Are you okay?” I asked Ester with a half-smile.

I feel weak and my body weight became heavier. I noticed Corbin beside her. He smiled and I forced a smile back at him. I felt their eyes on me, as if I was hiding something. I took out a big sigh.

“I’m hungry.” I said with a slight frown and a laugh, looking at them.

>Yuriiko could I just call your character Carry? How about it's a nick name that Corbin gave her. She hates the name but he uses it to tease her.<

Corbin~

"You've just been neutralised," I said grinning widely. I looked down at Ester, she scowled up at me.

Finally she said, "Ok, ok, you win. Help me up, would ya?" She raised her arm. I started to reach out but then stopped and pulled my arm back in. "Oh, no you don't. You're not going to use that trick on me again."

Suddenly I heard the ruffle of wings behind me and I turned to see Carry. She walked on unsteady legs toward us. "Are you Ok?" she asked Ester. Ester nodded and I pulled her up beside me.

The question is, are you ok I thought. I smiled at her, she smiled weakly in return. She's acting weird, something must be wrong. I was about to ask her what was up, but just before I could she sighed and said, "I'm hungery."

Then relisation hit me. I hadn't seen her since the first fight with the wolves. I quickly jumped into action. "Here, come with me. We made camp, I'll show you where it is." I said walking over to her. She leaned on me and we limped toward the camp. I looked her over to make sure that she was ok. She looked slightly dizzy and she had cuts and bruises on her, but there were no signs of any deathly injuries. I wondered how she managed to escape the blood thursty wolves without being ripped apart.

I took a break from training to see Ester and Corbin have a go. They were so cute together. Right when they were done, a new pair of wings came through, and I saw Caroline.

It shot back at me like an over-stretched rubber band. Oh. Crap, I thought. I hadn't seen her since the first fight. How had we all not missed her?

Corbin was leading her back to camp, and I went up to see if they needed anything.

"Caroline," I said. "Are you OK? How could we have missed you--Ah!"

I was walking backwards, facing them, when my foot hit a rock and I crumpled down. So much for my amazing coordination.

I landed with a thud. My hurt leg bent the wrong way, and pain, even more intense than when I was training, kicked in.

Michel must have been watching me--again--for he rushed over and helped me up.

"Thanks," I said.

"No problem," he replied.

Corbin helping Caroline, Michel helping me, we made our way back to the center of camp. We went over to where Kaylee was resting.

"Are you hurt?" she asked Caroline.

"Yes," Caroline said weakly.

Join the club, I thought.

Kaylee:

"Are you hurt?" I asked Caroline. "Yes." She said weakly. I pulled myself up with the help of Blaise. Balancing on one foot I said "I don't see ho-" My sentence was cut off by a scream. Instinctivly I took to the air, forgetting about my leg. Someone else was in trouble.

Ellie's words "They're coming" ran through my head. Grabbing a bow and arrow flew as fast as I could despite the shouts from Blaise behind me telling me to come back. "No!" I yelled at him. Scanning the trees I spotted movement. Swooping down I landed on a sturdy branch of a tree. "Ellie!" I screamed when I saw her under a wolf.

I shot and arrow at the wolf. It didn't fall so I shot anotehr one. The wolf fell to the ground. I shot every wolf I could, not caring at the moment about a clean kill. Wounded would suffice after what they did to us. More people appeared and I shouted to them "Stay above ground. Ellie, get up already!"

Blake

Once again, someone needed help and I was stranded by my hideously small wings. Life was so unfair. What was the point of having my fighting skills if I never had the chance to use them?

It was then and there that I decided, instead of practicing fighting, I was going to practice enduring flying. A little at a time, and maybe it wouldn't be so bad anymore. Maybe.

>Ok, so are we just going to kill all the dumb wolves and get it over and done with? Or are we going to get Ellie and retreat back up to our cliff, postponing the battle. Because either way we need to heal. We have too many that are injured.<

uhh I think we should recuperate first. With so many wounded we wouldn't really be able to stand a chance in battle!

>Well, obviously there has to be more wolves to battle, because that wouldn't be much of a battle if we let Kaylee kill them all off...but that's my opinion<

~Ellie May~

I heard the swoosh of an arrow with my keen hearing, then it pierced the wolf. He fell off of me on the second arrow. I heard as more arrows came, and then the whimpers from all the wolves that were hit.

"Ellie," I heard Kaylee yelled to me. I heard her as she moved in the trees far above me. "Get up already!" My eyes rolled back in my head, and I tried to move, but as I lifted my right arm, a jolt of pain washed through me, and I moaned, knowing that was all I could do. I heard others flying to my aid, but I wished they would leave. I could handle myself...or so I though. I guess not, saying that I couldn't even stand a short fly around the tops of the trees without falling out of a tree and getting attacked by a wolf.

"Ellie!" Kaylee yelled again. This time, I moved my wings, opening my eyes fully this time. I used my right wing to support my injured arm, while I used my other arm to push myself up. I was able to stand up, but I toddled forward, tripping over a root, and catching myself. Why did I have the feeling I looked drunk? Blaise and Ester, I guessed, came to my aid, catching me as I swayed unsteadily.

"It's OK," Ester assured me. I couldn't see strait, so I stumbled blindly, my stomach doing little somersaults and heaving. My eyes closed unwillingly, and I leadned into whoever cought me. I heared Kaylee saying something far above me, but couldn't make out her words; I was too far under to hear any of them talking, though it sounded like a lot of people talking. All I heard was the wind, as someone carried me back to the caves, or where ever they had takin me, and the little moans coming from behind my lips as the movements mademy arm hurt. Then, they sat me down, and layed a blanket over me. I relaxed into it, and fell farther, darkness pushing me down. But instead of a dream, I had another fision on my head. I tried not to consentrate on it, because I didn't want to see what was happining now, but I had no choice...

I saw where I had been attacked. I saw Kaylee struggling yet again to get herself onto her feet. She finally got balanced enough to fly away. It wasn't long before I could hear her enter the cave. But the vision continued, still focused on the blood and dead wolves. Men came soon after Kaylee had left, keeping extreemly quiet. They examined the dead wolves and my blood, taking samples as they went.

My eyes flashed open like before, and I sat up, egnoring the pain that rippled through my body. I examined the room, searching for Kaylee. Everyone had stopped what they were doing once again, and looked at me. I found Kaylee finally, sittind down on the floor getting medicine put on her leg, complaining yet again. She had looked up, and Blake stopped putting the medicine on her friend's leg.

"The humans," I whispered, not caring that my voice echoed through the caves, letting everyone know what I'd seen. Eveyone needed to know that the humans were here, taking our samples from the blood the wolves drew using their sharp teeth to bite us. Then it hit me.

What if they sent the wolves to draw blood from us so they could take samples? What if they were using the blood for something? But it was just a hunch. What would they use our blood for? Ester pushed my head back down on the ground. Thats when I noticed the pain. I grimmaced, wishing I would have cared earlier. Blaise came over to me, an angry expresson on his face. Kaylee hobbled behind him, putting her hand on his shoulder.

"What is that supposed to meen?" he asked at me, his voice harsh and cold. It echoed off the walls of the cave, bouncing back a hundred times. I closed my eyes and turned my head.

"Don't be rude," Kaylee whispered to him, keeping her hand on his shoulder. He turned to her. "No!" he yelled at her. "I want to know what she meens; is that so bad?" He turned back to me. I opened my eyes and saw him come closer to me, his eyes were harsh and, in the dim lighting, looked black.

"What do you meen 'the humans'?" he asked, lowering his voice to make it sound more menacing. It worked. His voice frightened me, and my body began to trimmer, making my arm hurt more. I winced again, looking away.

"I saw them," I whispered. "Isaw them after Kaylee left the wolves. They came and took some samples of the blood I'd left, and they examined the dead wolves; they took them away. Go look! You can go back and look; they took the dead bodies!" I said in a rush. i knew they all thought I was crazy, but, suddenly, it was only Blaise's oppinion that counted. Why, I did not know. I turned and looked him in the eyes. I saw Kaylee's worried expression, but I looked only at Blaise's face. I was determined to make him believe! He backed away from me, taking a step back, then running out of the cave, jumping, then flying. I could only imagine where he was going. That left me and Kaylee to look at eachother, but she turned, her eyes showing that she was angry with me. But what did I do?

Corbin~

Humans? I stumbled back. This was like my worst nightmare. I had always worried that the humans would find out that we were still alive, but I never imagined that they would come here.

"No!" I yelled suddenly, everyone turned to look at me. I wasn't supposed to say that out loud! But seeing that it was to late I marched up to Ellie. "You're wrong!" I told her. Turning on my heal, I sped after Blaise. Ellie was right-she had been right about the wolves coming-but I didn't want to believe her.

When I landed beside Blaise, I looked around. There were no wolves. The only traces left were the piles of blood. I lowered my head in defeat. As I did something caught my eye. Blaise saw it to and he bent over to pick it up. It was a syringe, further proof that the humans had indeed been here.

I shot up in the air, trying to run from the truth. The humans were here. They would destroy us all, and stay here until it was done. I wasn't worried about myself, I was worried about my family. How could we all stay safe? Even though I didn't like the idea I knew that plan miracle might be our only option.

I stayed in the air for awhile, clearing my thoughts.

~Ellie May~

I could only imagine how they must have hated me at that moment. I saw their worst nightmare, and then made it real. At least I was there to warn them. That was good. But I was fool of pity for all of them, and some one's words echoed through my head. I couldn't recall who had told me them, but when I first got here, someone had said, "Just wanted to welcome you to the family." The last word hung in my mind, floating there for a moment. It echoed again and again through my mind. Family. Was I really part of the family? If so, I'd have to train if I wanted to save my family.

I finally had found a new start, and I wasn't throwing this chance away. My last family had been lost to the humans...they were humans...monsters to me. Not the family I knew when I began to grow my wings. But my sister, Alex, had been helping me secretly learn how to fly. Soon, my mother gave up on being afraid of me, and helped me learn my little seeing trick. Then, it was all up to Alissa, my other sister, the oldest of the three of us. She was the one that turned us in. She was taken away first though, because she had a set of wings herself, though she always kept them hidden. I was next, then I watched as the rest of my family was murdered...all but Alissa. She worked for them for a while, then her wings grew larger, and they sent her here, so I thought. Obviously, I was wrong.

I still thought of the word "family". Not a word I was used to. I'd never been used to the word, then, I got here. Family obviously meant something different to these people than it did to me.

"Family," I whispered to myself, the single word echoing off the walls. Kaylee was the only one who looked at me, and even when she did, her eyes were hard and cold, just like Blaise's had been. She looked away quickly, positioning herself so that her back was towards me.

Why would so many people doubt what they knew was the truth? It was useless, but so many decided they would. But it was also pointless to try to prove that to them. I seemed to useless around here, so I went outside the caves, letting the makeshift sling Ester had made for me support my arm. the wind felt good out side, and i spread my wings.

Question: is anyone here supposed to be Alissa? Just wondering if you had any plans for that. Then I'll make my post.

- sorry for that, Apple-

Humans? Why on earth do they still have to come here and ruin our life?

My eyes scanned around the cold atmosphere. I left my apple unfinished though hungry, I didn't have the appetite. I was still weak and felt the fresh wounds throughout my body. I have to at least do something in order to protect our remaining clan. I looked at Corbin and Blaise, they seem to be in a relaxed position but I know they were having a hard time. Their eye-catching faces started to flush red both of my cheeks as I looked at them secretly. Then, Blaise looked at me and I turned to another direction quickly.

-Guys, my character seems to be alone so I needed to show more of her feelings towards one person. She's up to love. -

Ahh, I sort of am confused where everyone is...I know that Caroline has gone after Corbin and Blaise. Ellie has gone for a fly, so I think that only leaves Kaylee and Blake. Sorry if I'm wrong, but I'm going off of that.

Ester Alice

Corbin shot into the air, the wind rustled behind his as his strong wings flapped. Wind pushed over me and Ellie, forcing our clothes to rustle beside us. Was Ellie right? Had the humans been here? After all this time, would they dare to show their faces? Ellie clasped her hands, walking slowly towards the exit.

I opened my mouth to stop her though decided not to. Her black wings spread and she floated up into the sky, her hanging around her small face. I turned towards Blake and Kaylee. Kaylee’s shoulders were hunched in though, whilst Blake was scratching the dirt with her shoe.

My shoulders slumped visibly, what was I supposed to do now? Blake coughed into her palm placing her head to the cave wall in thought. It was obvious that what Ellie had said bothered her, though she tried to disguise it with a tired expression.

Picking up my dagger I walked towards the entrance staring out at the rolling hills. Behind them was the human town, a place where I dreaded to go. The thought of meeting the people who had left me here seemed to vague and saddening, and anyway what was there not saying that the people were on this very island.

Would I want to kill them? Ground their very souls into the ground and watch them writher under my murderous gaze? No, I didn’t really have it in me. Sure, I hated the fact that they took us away from our families and possible friends but I couldn’t even bring to mind killing them.

I clenched my fists, now slapping them across the head was another matter. I smiled slightly scanning the area for Corbin, Caroline and Blaise, I was curious to know what they had found. Inside I wished it wasn’t and it all was a very big misunderstanding.

“Blaise!” I turned instantly to see Blaise and Caroline rushing towards the entrance. A second figure fell in beside him, his wings longer in pan. Corbin! Blake and Kaylee were instantly next to me.

“She’s…telling…the…truth!” Blaise gasped. I felt my eyes widen instantly. I looked at Corbin who only nodded in unison with Blaise. “What does this mean?” Blake asked her eyes searching Blaises for an answer.

“Plan Miracle,” Kaylee mouthed. “I don’t think-” Caroline began before stopping herself abruptly. “Into the human world…” I said softly.
I spy!

~Uh...only if you want to make someone...I didn't really have plans for that one...sorry!Am I confusing anyone? Because I feel like I am!~

~Ellie May~

I flew through the cold air, trying to escape the thought of the humans myself. I didn't know where I was going, but I needed to escape the trouble I'd started. But I wasn't going to simply leave them. No; I'd be going to the privacy of the place the humans had left me, so I could practice. I was sure my bag of things were still in that lake.

As I flew downwards, I noticed something was flying behind be. I didn't look back, because I didn't want to know. I simply flew down to the lake, scanning the area for my bag. I found it, floating in the middle of the water. Thank God it was waterproof. All of my weapons and all of my clothes were in there. I flew across the water, grabbing the bag while I went. I flew back, noticing what had been behind me.

A small baloon floated down to the edge of the water, and I threw my bag over my good arm.
The baloon was bright pink, and seemed to have the sent of a human on it. I examined it with my only good hand, turning it in every direction. I could only guess how this got over here, way over the mountians to the other side of the island.

I sighed, and I opened the bag, flipping through it, looking for my blades. I only found one. It had been a set my brother had givin me before he died of cancer. He was twenty seven when he died. I sighed and thought to myself, "Oh well, I only have one arm anyway."

I began to practice, starting with the simple thrusting of the double-sided, twelve-inch knife. Then, I moved on to the slices, working on a tree instead of flesh. That seemed to be hard for me, because I usually worked with my right hand. I ended up dropping the blade so many time, it was dark by the time I finally got it down, but I didn't stop there. I practiced all night, not caring if anyone missed me. I was going to fight with them, eather way it went.

But a thought made me stop my practice, and I went to sit by the water, breathing deeply. I'd heard something about a "plan miracle", or something like that. I wondered what that meant. I closed my eyes, and focused on the caves I had left. The image filled my mind:

Kaylee was hunched by the walls of the cave, Blake was near Blaise as they talked quietly with eachother and Corbin. Blaise sighed and nodded, mouthing something. I couldn't hear any of the words they were saying to eachother for some reason. Then, Kaylee looked up, and mouth the words "plan miracle".
