Juliana - -

I had always loved rain. The feel of it against my skin, cool and refreshing. The way it slowly trickled down my arm, and into my palms, dripping onto the ground.
I shaded my eyes with my right hand, and looked up at the blazing, hot sun.
No sign of clouds, which means no sign of rain. Suddenly a thought struck my mind.
Maybe I could...maybe.
No! Don't do it, what if someone saw?
I say do it. I mean, who's gonna see?
EVERYONE!
Why are you so dramatic? It's just rain. Do it Juliana, do it!

The fact that my two conscious were arguing over something should have worried be. It didn't.
I smiled, and listened to the rebellious side.
Standing up on the roof I brought my hands in front of me. Let's see what I could do.
I closed my eyes and concentrated on breathing slowly..steady. Come on..come on.
Suddenly I could feel it. The power going through my body, that sensation I got whenever I knew I was about to use my powers. The sky turned a dark shade of gray, and I could feel the wind hitting my skin. One more try.
Raising my hands higher, tighter I felt it.
The rain, hitting my skin..tricking down my arms. That feeling. I loved it.

•••

Hope it's alright. Just more of an into you could say. She's known her powers since the age of 13, so she does have quite a lot of experience with it.

I growled at the girl before me. She should have left the park, what was she doing here? The girl began to back away slowly. She closed her eyes and suddenly, she seemed to...grow. What the hell? I thought, but then I looked down at her feet. She was hovering. This girl, had powers like me.
I quickly transformed into my human self and brushed some overgrown black hair from my face.
She gazed at me and I took in her full appearence. She had bright blue eyes, and long black hair. She was attractive, surely, but she was silent.
"I'm Jake," I told her and held out my hand. She stared at it for a moment and then looked into my eyes.
"Are you with...the people after me?" she asked quietly. I knew who she meant, I knew there were people after me as well. I rolled my eyes and said sarcastically, "Yeah and I'm here to kidnap you."
She backed away again. "I was kidding!" I laughed, but she didn't smile. I realized I had probably scared her. "I'm honestly not."
Her lips curved into a small smile and then she held out her hand, and we shook. "I'm Haleigh," she said. "So..." she walked over to the tree and sat down. She was wearing short shorts and I willed myself to turn away as they slipped up a little.
"You have powers too?"
"Yeah," I replied.

Hope that was okay Silversun! I tried to do your character as well as I could.

((That was totally fine Forest :) ))

Haleigh, telekinesis,

We walked in silence for a minute. I couldn't stop staring at thim though. Even though I knew that others had powers, I hadn't expected to find anyone for a long time. All I wanted to do was hide, but I guess I could accept this company. He wasn't bad looking at all either, which certainly helped.

"So what all can you do?" I asked.

"Well, I can shapeshift into any kind of dog... or any type of cat really," he replied. I could tell he really enjoyed these powers.

"So you can be a pussy?" I teased.

"Hey now," he said, laughing slightly, "That was a little uncalled for."

I smiled at Haleigh. She really could make a guy laugh. It was strange to finally find someone with powers. "Well what's your power then?" I asked.
"I'm telekinetic," she replied and smiled at me.
"Well then, Miss Proper name," I smiled and we laughed in unison. "So, where are you from?" I asked her.

**Here's Ken!**

Joan-Seattle

Time seemed to pass slowly, but little by little the day progressed. Sure enough the clock struck seven thirty. She turned the sign on the door from open to closed. She thought for a minute before she locked the door. I should go get something to eat, I’ve been living off of beans for to long. Her thoughts were quiet, but cheerful. She stepped outside. She locked it with her set of spare keys. She did this so she didn’t accidentally lock herself out. She encased the keys in solid ice, and slowly started to walk. There was a supermarket not to far from there. She liked working and living in the shop. She was close to civilization. This was good since she couldn’t drive, and didn’t want to buy a bike or scooter.

Someone was walking along next to her for a long while. It was a scruffy old man. He stopped when they were both next to an alley. In this alley there was a bum, and he couldn’t tell, but there was someone in the shadows. The man pulled Joan into the alley way and covered her mouth before she could scream. He was actually well groomed.
“I know you’re special, I’m Ken, you’ll work for me.”
She stepped on his foot, but that didn’t seem to do much. He dragged her farther back into the alley. She gripped the hand that covered her mouth. Ice claws extended from her knuckles.
“That’s right, let it out.”
She clawed at his arm. He released her, she had cut him, and the wounds were open. She couldn’t help it, but it began to snow. She shook her head. She encased his feet in ice and stood there, she couldn’t decide. She made sure that she was out of reach. Someone knows what I am… should I let them live? The blood dripped off of her claws, then slowly she retracted them.
All I can hear; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". Even those tears; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". No one's frightened of playing it. Everyone's saying it. Flowing more freely than wine. All through your life; "I me mine".

Mike

I walked through the streets, down the road, and to the stairs of my apartment building. I tried to walk normally, but I knew that occasionally, when no one was near, my body would flicker. I walked up the stairs and went inside. It was lonely here, very lonely. All I had was the T.V. books, and myself.
I sighed. I would have to move soon. I knew people would find me once again. It was hard, this life I had chosen, but I couldn't change it now.
I walked into the kitchen and looked out the small window. I looked out, staring with disbelief. Just a few minuets ago, it had been sunny, now it was pouring rain. "What the hell?" I questioned, and then, I saw her.
She was beautiful, and she had just jumped off of the apartment roof, rolling in the grass. The apartment wasn't that tall, but still...
She was rolling in the grass, getting her shirt soaked, and she was laughing. I ran out of my apartment and ran down the stairs, where the girl was lying in the grass.
"What are you doing?" I asked. She opened her eyes and saw me. Her eyes were beautiful as well. She quickly stood up, looking down.
"I'm Juliana," she whispered. "I live here."
"Well I'm Mike, and I live here as well. But you just jumped onto the grass from the roof."
Suddenly her eyes got wide and she stared down at my feet. "Shit," I whispered and saw that my legs were gone.
"So you're one too then?" she asked.

Chiara - New York

"It's over" I screamed with hate, and walked off. A smile reaching the corner of my lips - I enjoyed that, I loved that feeling. Breaking someones heart was always a pleasure too me. Especially making the sky dark afterwards, just to add the special 'end of the world' effect.

I didn't look back, but I could faintly hear his cries, he begged me "Please, I love you". It's over, I thought. It's always over.

I got home late that night, it was past 2am. Mum was sitting on the couch - drunk - with an empty bottle of whiskey in her hand. She attempted to get up when she heard the door, but her attempts failed, and instead she stared back towards the TV.

I marched up stairs to my bedroom and fell onto my bed. I reached into my bedside cabinet, and pulled out a bottle of Jim Beam that I'd sneaked from mums liquor cabinet.

The bottle met my lips, and the liquor poured down my throat. I drunk myself to sleep.
Mo. was here. :) mwahahaha

Xanthe walked home with her book in her hand, feeling the solid weight by her side as she went down the street. It was her third today, finishing the others being the primary achievement of both her maths (math, she reminded herself) and science lessons. It wasn't that she was a fast reader, though she was - it was that her teachers were slow talkers. Extremely slow talkers. Like, five words an hour talkers.
There was a reason for this, and the reason was that Xanthe wanted it like this. She generally got wanted - though there wasn't generally much she wanted - and slowing down time was one of the things she did most easily. It wasn't that she didn't care about her education, because she did; it was that she found photosynthesis deeply boring and felt that she deserved a break every five minutes or so. There was always the worry that the teachers would see her jerking around like a character in a fast-forwarded film and call an ambulance, certain that she was having a spasm attack - or, worse, suspect her for what she was - but Xanthe was for one thing careful and for another someone not much given to moving around anyway. It was very clever, really. One could take out the book, read for an hour or so under the table, then tuck in back into one's back and only have taken a few seconds. But then, Xanthe Grey was, by common consent, the cleverest girl in the school.

So she walked home that day, a full twelve hours after departing, thinking about Oliver Twist and how absolutely characterless he was and yet what a wonderful book he was a part of, and how Bill Sikes was really very interesting and Nancy a in a very understandable dilemma which certainly needed no illustration through music - when she was in London.

She'd been there before, lots of times, though her mother couldn't feel her presence and she couldn't announce it (and nor would she, because her mother wouldn't recover from that kind of shock) and it was with a sense of familiarity that she floated up the street to the house which, until a year and a half ago, had been her home. She was behind her mother, a small woman with mousy hair in a straight skirt and white blouse, carrying a briefcase and a sheaf of papers under her arm. Back from work early, then. It was such a habit of Xanthe's to watch her mother go home that she did it without thinking, to the point that her body was now standing in the middle of the street with a vacant expression on her face. Quickly, she slowed down time back in New York, so that no strangers would walk past and worry about her.

Her mother made her way up the path to the front door; she glanced up at the window which had been hers. Empty. Goodnight, Mum, she thought, and was about to leave. She saw this every day but she couldn't bear to miss it.

She was going to go back home, back to her dad and perhaps to get through some homework, to finish Oliver Twist. But as she turned, she realised that she wasn't in London any more.

She was in Seattle.

Is Seattle where everyone else is? I'm trying to get her involved in the story.

Rae Hawkins - Seattle - Controls Weather

She ran down the alley quickly, pausing only briefly at the corner to check for anything suspisious. Nothing.

She let herself get pulled along the street by the crowd, just moving with them as she began to think. It had been one month since she came to Seattle, and she hadn't yet found anyone who was like her. If she was honest with herself, Rae didn't know how to find them.
She couldn't exactly advertise in the daily paper, could she.
And so, Rae was considering her next plan of action; she could scour the newspapers in search of stories about the paranormal, she could become friends with people who looked like they could be "different", she could ask around the city - surely some people would have stories, she could-
"Ouch!"
Rae walked straight into someone and went flying, landing painfully on her side.
"Jesus girl, you weren't even looking!"
