Elementals

Okay so this is my first storybook to write! Okay *clears throat*

Children ages 12-18 have been awakening with elemental powers. They have to face everyday obstacles and find out why this is happening and find out about their mysterious pasts. They meet others, and yes, love can happen. Anyways, make your profiles! Oh, and you can choose any powers, it doesn't have to be like, Fire, water, air, and earth. It can be anything, like shapeshifting and weather and stuff. okay? You can choose to run away or anything! You can be anywhere! Just no huge cuss words, maybe like a few minors, but definetly no F words. PLEASE!!! Thanks. Have fun! Oh and conflict! Dundunnana! Forces are after the children with powers. Some of the forces are just nomads, and others are organized. You could try and be one of the forces I guess if you really wanted to....anyways...I hope this is enough info!

Name: Alex Hart


Age: 16


Description: Gray eyes, pale skin, blonde hair. Very slim.


Personality: Generally calm and has a sweet dispotion. But he has a pretty long fuse on his temper, so he can be angry for DAYS.


Power: Air (i.e. flying, transforming in a bird, shields, air control and so on...)


History: His father saw him floating when he was five, so he shipped Alex off to the government. There, he was the caretaker of the people who were experimented on. Just two weeks ago, he found a loophole and soon escaped afterwards, promising to free the rest when he has other allies.


Relationships (Family, Friends, etc.): He's basically a loner. He's friendly, but he's not a leader. He's more of a follower, the mother hen of any group.


Location: He prefers the Great Plains, but right now, he's in Seattle, searching for new recruits.

Name: Ember Jenkins

Age: 14

Personality: Is very bubbly and can be very hyper. She is bold and a born leader. She will do anything to defend her family, and can fight very well.

Power: Fire (You know the regular, heat, burning blah blah)

History: Figured out her powers when she was nine. She had been sitting by the fire while her parents were in another room. She had been thinking about how her parents were beginning to fight, and a fire sprung up, engulfing her. She had screamed and her parents had run in, quickly putting out the fire. She emerged unscratched/burned.

Relationships (Family, Friends, etc.): Lives with her mom and dad, who fight constantly, and has a little sister who is eight, while she has another brother who is five. Her mom is also pregnant.

Location: Reno, Nevada

Name: Joan Joimyn

Age: She turned 12 three days ago.

Description:
Her skin is dark brown, it shines blue in light. The shining is caused by a thick layer of ice over her skin that never fades unless it is over 75 degrees. Her hair goes halfway down her head in the back, in the front it goes down to her collar bone. It is naturally ice blue. Her eyes are bright blue, and a closer look shows that her eyes have the texture of ice shards. Her lips are also naturally blue, and shiny. Her fingernails and toenails are both the same color, and shine, like her lips. She has a shirt with a large collar that sticks out about three inches, and the shirt has sleeves that are longer then her arms. They cover her hands halfway. It is tight until it gets to her hands, at which point it gets baggy. Her shirt has six buttons going down the front side, the buttons are slightly to the left of the center line. She has a fairly tight skirt that goes down just above her knees. It has a slit about an inch high. She wears blue and white striped socks that go up above her knees. She also wears black boots that go up to under her knee. Her skirt is black, the shirt is blue, and the buttons are black.

Personality: A rather shy girl, one that doesn’t like to talk, nor trust people. She heard rumors that people were after her, thus causing her to freak. She deeply wants someone to take the role of a brother.

Power: Control over ice, she cannot create it herself so she uses the layer on her skin, and can regenerate this layer. She can also make snow, but not clouds, or snowstorms. Just random snow. She can also grow a set of wings made entirely of ice that extend from her back, these wings work well. She also watched the X-Men a few to many times, and figured out that she could make claws like wolverine, and she learned how to use them.

History: When she first found out about her powers she was six. She was watching the X-Men. She wished that she had wolverine claws that could extend. Sure enough they did. She was laying on her brother, and when the claws extended they pierced his heart. She sobbed when she realized that she had killed him. He didn’t die until he was in the ER but she knew he was doomed right away. She didn’t come out of her room for three months, her parents took food and water into her. Once she finally came out she didn’t speak until she was nine. During this time she improved her handwriting quite a bit, from that she has very readable handwriting.
At the age of ten she started speaking again, this was only because her family got her a councilor. This councilor didn’t let her take in a notepad or pen. So she could only talk. She saw this woman for about a year, at which point she got angry, she had gotten deep into emotion with her, and they finally got down to the hate for herself that she grew after killing her brother. Sadly this hate fueled her to kill her own mother and father, and the councilor. This happened the same way as her brother. She didn’t get punished though. She just left after she did this. She felt guilty, and to punish herself she got herself a part time job in one of the main ice cream shops in Seattle. Seattle was of course several miles from where she lived, she slept in the back room once the shop closed.
She worked for a year, and she got herself a full time job after she had been caught sleeping in the back room. She lives happily, they put in a bed back there for her while they wondered if one of them should adopt her or not. They’re not sure what to do with her other then let her work.
While in the back room she practiced on using her powers, she found she could do a whole lot more then use wolverine claws.

Relationships (Family, Friends, etc.): She has grown rather attached to the workers in the ice cream shop. She thinks of them as her adopted family, though she has no real family or friends.

Location: An ice cream shop in Seattle.

Name: Steven Knox

Age: 16

Description: He stands at about average height, with longish, thick, and slightly curly blond hair. He has blue eyes. He is fair skinned, and doesn't have any fixed style of clothing, usually wearing an eclectic mix of clothes with distinctively clashing colours. He has a perennially bored expression on his face.

Personality: Steven is easily bored by things, having the attention span of a puppy. He's not entirely impulsive, though, as he can be too lazy to act on such impulses. That said, he absolutely hates being stopped from involving himself in something he wants to do, often snapping at people for trying to get his attention. He has heard that there are people looking for people like him, but he doesn't care, not thinking they'll actually come, and not really caring if they do, just as long as they don't try to lay a finger on him.

Power: Water control. He can do anything with water, as long as it is in a liquid form. Converting it between other ones is immensely difficult for him, he needs total concentration to change its temperature by force of will. However, he can use it in the typical way, blasting people with it, and he can control water pressure very easily, and its flow even more easily.

History: He discovered his power at the age of about ten, sitting in his room and fuming about having been grounded for something. He was glaring at a glass of water, and was shocked when it simply tipped over, falling onto the floor. He was so shocked that he almost missed the fact that the water itself stayed in midair for a few moments. After that, life went on as normal, except for the fact that he was slowly teaching himself to master his water controlling abilities.

Relationships (Family, Friends, etc.): He has a younger brother and sister as well as his parents. He is very close with all of his family, and wouldn't let anyone hurt them. He is particularly protective of his younger siblings. He has a few close friends, and a whole lot of acquaintances.

Location: School in Seattle.

Name: Kevin Laurence
Age: 49
Description: A very tall old man. He had gone prematurely bald. He still has hair covering every inch of his body though. He has a small beard and mustache. His eyes are deep brown, and he has two tattoos. One on his right arm, which is a squid, the other is on his left is a dragon. They meet in the center of his chest and seem to fight. He tends to walk around with no shirt on just because he wants to show off. He tends to wear black jeans. His skin is rather pale, but can get tanned. The hair that he does have is shifting between deep brown, and dark grey. On his belt he keeps the holsters for two pistols. These pistols are loaded with tranquilizer darts.
Personality: His voice is loud when he speaks, he is a cunning man, and will lead. He dislikes traitors and won’t let a single grudge go. If you anger him, move off of earth if you want to be safe.
Power: None, but he is talented with his pistols, and he has rather quick reflexes. More then enough to command and take down a few children.
History: He heard rumors of children with elemental power a little over ten years ago. Since then he started a group of people. Some people to find the elemental children and take them away. Use them to their own advantage. It was slow for several years, no on wanted to join. Soon enough the evil generation of people had come in, and flooded the ranks. They planned for years upon years while they waited for the children to become known. Then he got himself ready to get the children.
Relationships (Family, Friends, etc.): Runs the company/group that is after the children.
Location: His base is in Seattle, and he is currently there too.

Name: Rae Hawkins


Age: 16


Description:Rae
She is pretty much like the picture, although her brown hair is generally tied up in a ponytail and she's a little shorter. Rae usually wears a uniform outfit of jeans and a plain top.

Personality: She doesn't like being alone, Rae wants people to talk to although she prefers to take a leading role in any group. Although very smart and tough, Rae has never known too many people as she's spent most of her life as a government gineau pig. She has a sense of humour but rarely feels the need to use it.

Power: Rae can control the weather. She can do anything she wants to with it, occasionally creating enough wind around her to fly or enough mist to cover her tracks.


History: She had a very unstable first five years, and when her parents found out about her power they immediately contacted the government who took her in for experimenting on. She spent the next ten years of her life in a very remote section of the government being tested as they tried to find out what had caused her to get a power. She managed to escape by creating a freak storm and went to Seattle to find anyone else who might be like her.


Relationships (Family, Friends, etc.): None, she never contacted her family again.

Hey you guys. Ummm there are a lot of characters that live in Seattle, could you change that? I feel so far away from everyone! People can be anywhere and sooner or later meet up with people. I'm going to add another character!

Personality: He's more of the loud type. He is really funny and can get really mad sometimes, but he won't tell you he's mad. He'll just give you the silent treatment.

Power: Shapeshifting into breeds of dogs and cats. (Includes wild)

History: He was eight when he found out his power. He had been running and playing with his friends. He had seen them dissapear into the woods nearby, and wanted to find them. He wished he was a dog so he could sniff them out, and suddenly he was. His friends were scared and told their parents. He then got angry and transformed into a wolf, and has run away from home.

Name: Benjamin Lynch

Age: 18

Personality: Ben is cold, calculating, and above all, convinced of his own ability. He doesn't get along well with other people, due to being something of a sociopath, but, if need be, he can fake it.

Power: Telepathy (hope that's alright). He can read minds, make people sense things that aren't there, and hijack one person's mind, although that takes immense effort, and he can't use his own body while doing it.

History: He discovered his power at the age of six. First it was just being able to read the minds of other kids at school, and then he started using it to trick his friends and family into seeing or hearing things that weren't really there. The company soon tracked him down and figured out what he could do, and so paid his parents a ridiculous amount to let him go. At first he was uncooperative, but they gave him free rein with his powers, as long as he helped them bring in others.
