"So what, the government's got teenagers to help them now? That's low."
Steven couldn't keep the confusion from his face - not only had he heard nothing about the government trying to catch people like them, but she seemed to be suggesting that he was one of them.
What surprised him even more was her simply jumping up and grabbing his hand, seeming to decide to go with him regardless of her suspicions. Where am I taking this lot, anyway? He thought suddenly - because now that there were three others than him, one no more than twelve and apparently making it snow, that was a lot to deal with.
Moreover, he was acting entirely on impulse here. If the rumours about people being after them were true, and if they had the available resources of the government, how long could he help them for, if at all?
Well, for starters, they shouldn't just be standing around, letting it snow in Seattle. After all, it was only autumn. So he started off, more or less simply away from the main public. He just wanted to get an idea of who the others were, and if they were in any kind of danger. Although he doubted that the ghost-girl was, since she was in New York and slowing time around her. But the girl who didn't seem to fully trust him, maybe she had a reason to be afraid?

The guy began to lead them away from the crowded street. Rae nodded in approval, it wasn't exactly smart to start showing off powers in public.
Unless we do a street show, she though dryly, chuckling to herself.
The guy turned round and gave her a wierd look, Rae blushed as she realised she'd laughed out loud.
Damn, but I've been alone too long.
She came out of her reverie and ran to catch up with the guy in front.
"Does you have anywhere we can go and talk about this? You might be the only one who does have a place. I mean, I've been living on the streets so that's a no go. Ghost girl isn't actually here, and the girl's been sleeping in the ice-cream shop."
((Sorry it's short. I need some food xD ))

Chiara - Light Control - New York (on her way to Reno)
I woke the next morning with a massive head-ache. I stagger out of bed and peer into my mirror, I look like a zombie - my hair is knotted and in every direction, and small bags appear under my eyes. Without a seconds thought, I alter the light patterns surrounding me, removing the appearance of my tiredness and the bags around my eyes. I look a billion times better, and I smile. I LOVE having powers.
I dress in a tight, revealing tank top, and a denim mini skirt. I slip on my white converse shoes and grab my bag. As I walk out I see a note left on the kitchen, but it's too messily written for me to decipher. I grab mum's keys sitting next to it and walk out the front door. Mum's car is parked on the verge - a silver convertible - and I climb in. I jam the keys into the ignition and drive to school.
"Chiara", shouts one of my friends as I pull into a parking space. I don't reply, but shrug them off. As I step out of the car, I am accompanied by my 'best' friends - well at least they were - who jibber jabber about last nights 'shin-dig'.
Science is the one class that captures my attention. "Light, colour and radiation are all the linked very closely - all just different frequencies of the same thing". States my teacher in his usual boring tone, but he has caught my attention.
What if? What if I could use colour too? and radiation?
The bell goes and I climb into my car and drive, but not home. I have my sights set on Reno, a good drive to the airport, and then a flight there, but it's worth it. I can get away from everyone, and everything - my mother will never find me, and no-one will know who I am, so I can do whatever I want. I have always wanted to go - who wants to live with a mother that's always drunk or stoned? Knowing there are more possibilities to my power. Mother would never approve of me doing 'magic' (as she would call it) in the house. There's a bag in the back that I've had for weeks, and mum keeps a ton of cash in the car.
Harmony meows at my side, I almost forgot she was there, I stoke her, and she purrs affectionately.
I drive in the direction of the airport, my fake I.D in my jacket pocket, and passport in hand.
NO! YOu guys, we need to post, seriously this was a good one!!!!!!

He quickly turned in another direction the moment she mentioned having a place they could go. Himself, Steven didn't know why he hadn't thought of it before. Home was probably a much better place to be having this kind of conversation - no one around to hear, especially given this time of day. Easy to keep everyone comfortable... In truth, it had been a great idea.
"Yeah," he said, "Right this way." He glanced back at the 'ghost' girl. "Of course, you might have to find some way to appear a little more...I dunno, here. Just in case my family gets back from wherever they are sooner than I expect them to." He smiled, "Don't want anyone freaking out." Steven paused for a moment, turned around, "But seriously, what're all your names? I'm Steven."
Obviously, it would be good to know names. Especially if his siblings or parents showed up, asking him who his new friends were.
Ben, Telepathy, Reno
A quick check of every mind in the house told him that there wasn't anyone awake. Or rather, that there was no mind functioning in the manner that one would while awake. Everyone in the house - and there were exactly the right number of minds - was fully immersed in their subconsciousness.
That suited the agents just fine. Ben's partner, while he had no powers, did come in useful quite often. He knelt by the door, a small clack of metal on metal sounding as he slid his tension wrench and lock pick into the key hole. He closed his eyes, concentrating hard on what he could feel with the two, until, with a click, he pulled them back out.
Ben reached down to try the doorknob, sharing a quick smile with the other man when it turned easily under his touch. Both winced at the creaking sound coming from the door as it opened, and Ben detected a few people stirring in their sleep.
Now came the tricky part. Ben couldn't steal someone's mind without touching their head. And he couldn't use his body while using another person's. That left them with two options - try to carry their target out of her house without waking her. Or Ben could take her mind and hope that his partner could lug him out of there without causing too much noise.
A short series of gestures signed to the other man indicated that they'd try Plan A first. Naturally, that would make Plan B more difficult to pull off without noise, if it came to that, but this was probably the safest way.
The two agents started up the stairs, making next to no sound at all as they moved. From time to time, Ben sent his mind outwards in a cursory sweep, ensuring that everyone remained asleep in the house.

**I'm going on holiday until Sunday, guys. I'll do my best to get onto YWS but I can't make too many promises! Would you mind carrying Rae along for me until I post again? Thanks. **

"You know you shoudl be more careful when you're um....roof jumping..." she laughed. "Yeah, well you better get used to a girl landing outside on the wet grass," I laughed a long with her.

I tossed and turned. There was something unnatural in the night, and I had suddenly woken up. I kept feeling a prescence, it seemed so near. The dreams of those men had kept me awake for a while, and as soon as I had drifted off to sleep, I had felt the prescence. Something was near.
