(No problem. How'd that Spanish thing of yours go by the way?)


"If everything goes according to plan, it should be," Kurt said. "I just hope I can convince my superiors to let me come to question Kai. He'll feel less intimidated if he sees a friendly face."

They finished up the rest of their lunch before going back to their rooms. Kurt called his superiors as soon as he left, like he said he would.


(All I can think of at the moment. I was thinking they could all go for a swim in the pool, then we could do a time jump to the next day. Skylar and Sean can leave for school in their vehicles before Kai, then when they get there they see Ivy's limo drive up to the school and drop him off, along with everyone else in the school.)

((I failed so mom is makin me take it over again :S ))

Skylar walked into her room and grabbed a swim suit. "We're going swimming." She annoced as she walked out in her board shorts and bikini top. Sean smiled and grabbed his swim suit from his room changing and coming back out.

"Come on, Kai!" They laughed before Kai came out in his room. Skylar raced them to the pool jumping in about the same time as Sean.


*next day*

Skylar got ready and got out to the garage where her bike was as Sean came down. "Ivy was talking to Kai, she said she'd bring him to school." Sean said. Skylar nodded and started the engine then tore out of the garage and towards the school Sean behind her. When they got there they parked and walked towards the front before they saw the limb pull up. Kai climbed out and walked over as everyone from the school but Skylar and Sean were staring.

"That was fast." Sean smiled. Kai nodded as they all walked into the school. There were a few men standing by the office.

"Looks like Kurt's friends are here." Skylar said not looking at the guys.

(You said limb instead of limo, by the way. Sorry about the Spanish thing. You'll do better next time.)


Kai nodded, but didn't say anything else. He would wait for them to call him down to the office. Right now, it looked like they were talking to the principle. At least Kurt was there with the two agents.

When they all got to science class they took their seats. The teacher came in soon after and began roll call. When he got to Brittney's name, no one answered. "You think she skipped because of what happened?" Kai asked.

"Maybe," Skylar said. She still got angry whenever she thought about that bitch.

When the teacher finished, he said, "Now that we've got roll call out of the way, we can get started. But first, Kai?"

"Yes?"

"I was told to tell you to go to the office once class started."

Kai nodded and went for the door.

Skylar watched him go and she chewed the inside of her lip. She could hardly pay attention as the teacher talked. She wanted to know what was going on with Kai. Sean tapped her shoulder when the bell rang.

"Come on, time to change class." He said. She blinked and then nodded getting up and walking to her next class. She couldn't wait for lunch to see what had happened to Kai. What they had asked. She sighed, this was going to be one really long day.

Kai was brought to the principle's office, where Kurt and two other men in suits were standing by the desk. Kurt gave Kai a wink before one of the agents said, "Please, take a seat."

Kai nodded and took one of the chairs in front of the desk. "Is this about what happened on Saturday?" he asked. "My friend told me it was all over the news."

"We're just going to be asking you a few questions..." The agent flipped through a folder on the table before continuing, "...Kai Strafe. My name is Agent Ramirez," He pointed to the other agent, then to Kurt. "That's Agent London, and this is Agent Jones."

Kurt nodded and said, "Just call me Kurt."

Agent Ramirez looked through the folder and said, "It says here that you're living in that apartment building alone. Why not with your parents?"

"My parents passed away a long time ago."

"We noticed you showed up to school this morning by means of a limousine. Would you care to explain that?"

"Of course," Kai said. "It belongs to an old friend of my parents before they passed away. She's letting me stay with her until everything calms down. She lives pretty far from the school, so she offered to have someone drop me off and pick me up every day."

Agent Ramirez nodded. "I see... Could you tell us what happened Saturday night?"

"There's nothing much to say, really," Kai said, trying to make his voice sound as truthful as he could. "I was just on my way home after spending the day at my friend's house. Exams are coming up, so we decided to study together. I was just waiting for the elevator when that...thing crashed into the lobby."

"Do you know why it chased after you?" the agent asked.

Kai shook his head. "No. To tell you the truth, it was probably only after me because I was the only person in the lobby at the time."

"What about when you got outside. Can you tell us what happened then?"

"Well, at that time I just wanted to get away. I didn't really expect that thing to follow me. I ran as fast as I could to the forest behind the complex. That thing would have caught me if it hadn't tripped over one of the cars."

Something outside caused Agent London to go to the window. "Great," he said with disdain in his voice.

"What is it?" Ramirez asked.

"News vans."

Ramirez cursed under his breath before turning to Kurt and saying, "Jones, keep questioning him. London, you're with me." Agent London left the room with Ramirez, probably to keep the reporters away from the school.

"So, how long do you think this questioning is going to take?" Kai asked.

"Probably until lunch." Kurt went over to the window and said, "Looks like you've drawn quite a crowd, Kai."

Skylar walked out of her last class and headed for the lunch room looking at all the reporters that were lined up outside the school. She rolled her eyes and grabbed her lunch before going outside where Sean was.

"Will we go up to the roof?" She asked looking around. There were a few reporters a couple of feet away.

"I don't know, lets wait for Kai." He replied. They watched the door and Kai finally walked out and over to them. The reporters quickly moved as close as they were allowed to get shouting questions.

"Come on, lets go somewhere else." Skylar said grabbing both of their arms and pulling them away from the reporters.

"Do you think we should still go eat up on the roof?" Sean asked looking at Kai.

"No, the agents are still around watching and I'm sure a reporter would see us for sure." Kai replied. "We'll have to find somewhere to eat and act normal." Skylar laughed and shook her head and then walked to a small clutter of trees and sat down with her back against one.

"Normal, we haven't been normal sense we all started hanging out." Skylar smiled.

"Did you see all those reporters?" Sean asked. "You'd think Lincoln rose from the grave with all that hype, and all just because Kai got chased by a Tsurekin."

"Well to be honest, it was a pretty big one, and it tore up the building's lobby," Kai said.

"But still, you just happened to be on camera when it happened. It's not like it was after you or anything. Now the freakin' paparazzi is after you."

"It was after him, remember?" Skylar said.

"I know that. You know that. Nobody else knows that."

Skylar sighed. "I just hope none of them find us back here."


(Can you have some of the other kids come up to Kai and ask about what happened?)

Skylar bite into her sandwhich as a bunch of kids walked over.

"Your the one that got chased by that thing aren't you?" One of them said looking at Kai.

"Leave him alone." Skylar growled. They ignored her though.

"Well? What was that thing?" Another asked.

"Why was it after you?" Yet another asked.


**Didn't know if you wanted him to talk to them or not. Skylar's ready to chase them all away. **

"I don't know why it came after me, honest."

They didn't seem satisfied, because another said, "Come on, you've got to know something!"

The first one said, "What about that limo you came to school in. Are you rich?"

Skylar got to her feet and said, "He's been through enough as it is. Leave him alone."

"I wasn't talking to you," the boy said.


(That's bound to set her off, eh? )

Skylar's clenched her fists. "No, you weren't. But your harrasing my friend and I swear if your not gone in about five seconds I'm make you wish you had." She hissed.

"Come on, we just want to know what happened." He replied stepping closer. She moved forward so that she was right in front of him. He towered over her by a good foot. She didn't care though.

"Leave now." She hissed. He didn't move. "Five, Four, Three, Two..."

"Listen, girly, you don't scare me. We just want to know. You don't have to take it so personal." The guy frowned before turning and leaving. She sat back down and picked her sandwich back up and bit into it her blood still boiling. She'd wanted him to try something, she really wanted to hit something and he had looked like a really good target.

She went to take another bite into her sandwich when she saw Kai and Sean both staring at her. "What?" she demanded.

"Nothing. I didn't say anything," Sean said before going back to eating his food.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, eating their lunch, before Kai said, "Thanks for sticking up for me, Skylar."

(All I can think of. First post of the day and all that. At the end of your next post you can have them go back to the school for the rest of their classes.)

"Your my friend. I don't like people bugging my friends." She said shrugging. "Plus, they were bugging me too." He smiled and nodded.

"Remind me not to get you mad at me." Sean said looking up and smiling. "You can be scary for a short person."

"Being short has it's advantage." She replied. "Want my banana?" He laughed and shook his head.

"No, I've got my own." He replied as the bell rang.

"We better get to class." Kai said standing up.

A few other kids started pestering Kai about what happened through the rest of the day, but Skylar swiftly sent them packing each time with a good tongue lashing. By the time school was finished there were only a few reporters left. Still, even one reporter was too much. Skylar had to go to Ivy's limo to tell the driver to meet Kai in the parking lot so he wouldn't have to wade through the reporters on his way out.

Ivy and Sahara were waiting for them at the front door of the mansion when they got back. "How was school?" she asked.

"Great," Skylar said, sarcastically. "Kai was almost on the channel six news today."

"I see, let's hope those reporters didn't follow you all back here."

"Your driver was very careful to make sure he wasn't being followed," Kai said.

"How did the questioning with the C.I.A. go?"

Kai smiled. "The plan worked. They think I'm just an innocent victim. Kurt said he would write the report personally."

Ivy nodded. "That's good. Are you all ready for your training? Tala, Ryukin, and Reiky showed up a few minutes before you all did. They're waiting by the pool."

"What do we do first?" Sean asked.

"Run five laps around the mansion," Ivy said.

"That won't be hard for Tala, she can run five laps without breaking a sweat."

"She means all of you," Sahara said, "and you have to keep up with your Tsurekin, too."

Skylar swallowed and then nodded. "Alright, your on." She walked to their room and got dressed to run then walked out to the pool and stood by Tala. When the others were there they started off. Skylar wasn't a runner, she always got bored unless she was running to or from something. Tala kept pace with her as she ran. By the third lap her legs were killing her. She kept going though her will out doing the pain. Pain is in the mind. Ignore it. She told herself as she pushed forward again. Tala picked up her pace a little bit too.



*Oy, it's early, I'm tired. But I'll be driving most today to go to a wedding this weekened and this might be my only chance to post*

Kai and Sean ran side-by-side with Ryukin and Reiky running just in front of them. As they ran, Sean turned to Kai and asked, "Why does she have us running, too?"

"It's obviously training," Kai said.

"Well, yeah, I know that. But why should we have to run? It's not like it's going to do us any good, since our Tsurekin are going to be the ones that fight."

"She knows what she's doing, Sean," Kai said. "She knows the most about Tsurekin, so we should trust her."

"Besides," Reiky piped in, "you could use the exercise!" They all laughed at that, except Sean who simply scoffed.
