Peace

"funny for you not to know something" I said with a slight laugh though I was hurting inside.

"true" Ra said only half joking. As we carried along down the path.

"where's Adam?" Meer said and I stayed silent Ra looked at me but didn't pry.

"he left but we'll see him again" I said finaly pushing out an answer. Thinking what I would do next time I could not use the same curve that would make Adams soul lost as well. His spirit would have to push through by it's self.

"when?" Meer continued.

"it all depends on how long it takes for him to find Pravius" I said knowing that unless he had some other unknownnobjective it wouldn't take long they naturaly drew to each other.

"why dose he want to find pravius he'll be killed" Scado said.

"he dosen't want to fight it he wants to Embrace it" I said and Meet looked puzzled.

"why?" someone said.

April~~

April happily trotted next the group with a large smile across her face, she still felt the high of the heat running through her veins and the embrace of it's energy. Then was struck when she saw parchment hanging from a tree.

"Guys?" She squeeked.

"What?" Altu asked.

"How are we gonna get through the village?"

"Just walk, they haven't taken away all our rights yet," Pippa was sarcastic.

"Not like this.." She pointed to the piece of parchment hung against the tree.

DSF: I don't really mind either way, so long as I have something to do. All I know is first we have to meet up with the pack to get the map. Maybe have a fight after we retrive the map.

Also I had an idea to put Max into the group for short time, I'll give more in a later post.

Max

"So what was that?" Korah asked, referring to Max's brief state of metal appsense.

"It was my spy. I had a spell placed to allow use to communicate like that. He has told me that they have a map to the blood blade. He has made up a copy for our use. We must go now, if we are to reach them by dawn," Max said.

"Very well," The priest said, "Go now, but leave more of the blood and tears."

Max nodded, plunged the blade into his arm again, and handed the Oracle a large amount of it, and some more phoenix tears. With that the Vampire and Necromancer turned and left. Korah released his demon again, and the pair hopped on.

"So where to?" Korah asked.

"Near the dessert, they are heading that way," Max replied, basking in the moonlight, "If only we could fight right now, it is such a pain to fight in the day," He added quickly, before Korah could speak again.

"But the desert, does that mean?" Korah said quickly, some what annoyed.

"Oh yes, yes, they are heading to that cursed mountain range," Max said, before laying down on the demons back.

"So it is true then? I thought it was just a rumor."

"Oh yes young one, you would. But I have been around for ages, and I have seen it first hand, see this scar?" Max said and pulled his shirt up, revealing a mark right near his heart, "Almost got killed there. The curse isn't that simple though, see it does more, it not only find your weakness, and uses it, it tries to kill your mind to, it can make you think your not you, tries to confuse you, separates you from friends, makes you think they are here, or there. They do more, much more, if I were to explain the whole we would be here for a week, maybe two. But one thing to summarize what to do when your in the cave, get out."

"Well that might not be an option," Korah said seriously.

"Well, first we need the map," Max said lazily, and looked over the side, "That should be soon though. I do wish I had making the connection with the griffin, so I could see him, but that would have taken to long, and is to difficult for a vampire to do."

"I can run with the wind, Traystal. My kin is often taught to manipulate certain elements of nature." I said, standing.

He nodded,"Well, we'll see about that,"Traystal disappeared, a shadow taking his place and it darted back into the forests from whence it came. I was completely unprepared and almost lost sight of the shadow. He was right, not only was he hard to see, but the speed at which he glided, and I mean glided, was incredible.

"I call upon the wind..."I mumbled in chant and gradually my feet moved faster and faster till I found myself gliding as well. Still not as fast but only feet behind. Traystal clearly knew where he was going.

Meer

He perked up a little at the suggestion that the villagers would give them trouble for being exactly the group described on the wanted poster. Manslaughter? They're charging them with accidental murder as well? Since when did they start getting lenient with the treatment of nonhumans? I've never heard of a charge of manslaughter for a magical creature.

"They mention me on there?" Meer asked, starting to form a plan.

"Sorry, Meer." Ra said, somewhat sarcastic, "No mention of a human. Guess you're not as dangerous as the rest of us."

"Then maybe," he said, "I could go ahead of you all a couple of days, enter the town from a different direction, report that I saw you coming from that way, and send them all off on a false trail. Then while the mob's out looking for you, we can head on up into the mountains, and they'll be none the wiser."

Traystal

Working out which way to go bore no difficulty for Traystal. As a spirit, he could more or less sniff out sorcerers, witches and the like. Any of the 'natural' magic users who held the power to bind him. It was a fairly basic technique, one usually used to stay out of their way. But now he was using it to track the girl who called him 'Blondie'.

Rush was managing to keep up with him well enough, the elf was faster than Traystal had expected, and still seemed to be able to keep sight of his shadow form. It wouldn't be long now before they reached the group, they were already crossing the sands. Rush would be tiring, he knew, they'd been gliding without pause all through the night and all through this day. But the group was within Traystal's sight, stopped to converse around a lonely tree. If they didn't move, he and Rush would reach them inside an hour. If they did, they would still make it in under two hours. In fact, someone amongst them shouldnbe sensing them by about now. He just hoped they didn't get mistaken for servants of that necromancer before he was recognised.

Hey everyone! This isn't a post, and for that I am sorry but I need to go to school. I just wanted to let you all know that I AM still here. Between going to school full time and working 30 hours a week my schedule is very... tight :P. But I will post today although it will probably be later on tonight when I get home. So don't worry, I am COMING!!!

Also just a reminder we are heading to the river right now, and from there we can either walk or find a ship which will take us down to Kiren Meuth, the town that leads into the Horven Dessert where we are going. Okay be back soon...

-Scado-

Scado watched Meer run into the village to send the people off. "Should we trust him?" April asked. "I know he's all our friend, but he is a human."

"We can trust him," Scado said defiantly. "He may be human, but he knows the truth of what's happening." Scado reached up and ripped off the wanted poster, stuffing it into his pocket. "What should we do now?"

"I say we should go to the opposite side of the village that Meer is sending them," Ra said. "There we can at least keep an eye on the people and know when to leave."

The Magical Creatures walked on the outskirts of the village without making a sound. They saw the people in village walking around doing the normal things; farming, cleaning, and cooking. They made it quickly to the spot they would wait and kept a sharp eye on the village.

Okay, I'm gonna bring in some action now.

Also, for the later of the post, Max can fight, very well, he had been around long enough to learn a few tricks, or a bunch of them.
IronClaw

"Creatures!" someone in the village yelled.

Like this had been drilled, a moment later a group of people came charging at the group of assorted magical creatures.

Ra took the lead, the werewolves behind him (Is it still night?) the group hesitated, seeing the now large group.

"Run!" Someone in the magical group yelled. And they took off, tailed by a very large group.

"Stop running. This will never work, we can beat them easy," Someone else yelled. The group stopped.

All together they turned, and faced the group of around twenty four men. The wolves pounced, taking them out in a few seconds.

"Well what are you waiting for? Run!" Scado barked, and the rest took off again.

The sun dawned to soon after that, and they stopped for a rest.

"We will set for a few hours. Ironclaw, go hunting, fetch some food for us," Ra ordered.

Ironclaw did not hesitate, he took off, and hid himself far away from the others.

"where are you," Max's voice immediately screamed in Ironclaw head.

"I am at exactly (random coordinates here)," Ironclaw said, and then Max left again.

Max

"Ah, finally," Max said and they hopped off the demon, and it went back into Korah amulet a moment later.

The two had to walk for a bit, they did not risk being spotted early in the plan. It did not take long though to find the Griffin, he had flown their way as well.

"The map?" Korah said.

"Here," the griffin said, and removed a carefully made replica from his pouch.

Max took it from him, and scanned it, "My werewolf may be a bit rusty, but I know how to read this. Here in the northwest, she that marking? That one, it reads [i][Gijl/i], yes that means blade, and seems to be in the middle of the ocean. That will be hard to get, so will the rest of them. But this one might be best for now. Griffin, which are they going for?"

"Yes this one here. We are unable to translate it. it is placed in Sada's largest desert. Near a tomb," The griffin said.

"Oh yes, you said that. Okay then, well that word, it escapes me as well. Hopefully it is not rare, but that place in dangerous, and not best to follow. For now we shall go after the blade. Best bet to eliminate the the use of it. Much magic is stored in it, and the the whole weapon. Korah, what is you-" Before Max finished he screamed in pain.

"Get me to the shade," Max squeaked, and the two dragged him under a tree. Once under he took a large veil from his cloak, and drank some, then took some a bit, and dabbed it along parts that peeked from his clothing. "Better," Max said, still in pain. "I forgot to apply it at night. No worries, I shall be fine. So back to business, Korah? What is your take?"

"Yes, that seems good. We do not want them catching wind of our plan. Might lead to more," He cast a glance at Ironclaw. "Plus, we have a better chance of receiving parts. Though with lose of attack they might get suspicious still. So I think a good one two shall help us now. Ironclaw, we will need you to get roughed up."

"Very well," Ironclaw said, and then Korah pulled at his features, and fur, and gave a few violent scratches. He looked like he had escaped an early attack, that would suffice.

"Now when you get there, crash, and we will come right away, you may fight, but just make it look good, the men will no hurt you, much," Max instructed. "Korah, some men would be good."

"Yes, I know," He replied, and began to summon the dead. Soon the small clearing they were in filled with about thirty men, good for a throw off attack. To finish it, the demon was summoned.

"Now go," Max barked and Ironclaw flew off.

After a bit, Korah mounted the demon, and Max grabbed the tail of it. The undead running under them, they flew to the camp.

"Hello again," Korah yelled down.

Ironclaw was on the ground, surronded by the group. When Korah yelled the undead charged, and the group was ready to attack. Max dropped, landing on a tree top, hoping not to fight, but if he did, he would be ready to.

I AM HERE!! And once again i am sorry it took me so long, you know, life is busy!

Ra

Ra glanced up just as Ironclaw came crashing down. With a curse Ra turned to the others and yelled, "Everyone get, ready, trouble is coming!" The words weren't barley out of his mouth when a large roar filled the air, shaking the very ground beneath their feet. Ra looked up to see the large demon come swooping over the tree tops as it let out another roar of fury.

"Not him again," April growled as she yanked out her wand.

"It's just one Necromancer," Peace said.

Suddenly the woods around them began to echo with moans as people came running out of the underbrush. Ra thought they were human, but quickly realized they were dead, however these men were... different then the ones they had fought before. They were less zombie like, and they ran swiftly and easily. In their hands they brandished swords, spears, and some even had bows and arrows.

"So much for one Necromancer," Scado called as a volley of arrows suddenly came flying down towards them.

"Look out!" Fyra whistled.

"I got it," Ra called as he stepped forward and banged his hands together. All the arrows suddenly disappeared, the air where they had been shimmering as if they had been sucked into an endless void. At that moment the zombie soldiers reached them, their mangled screams ringing through the air as they attacked.

Atlu let out a screech as he leapt forward. His talons easily ripped through a zombie, sending the pieces everywhere as he shook another one apart with his wings. The demon suddenly came circling by again. It roared a challenged as it opened its mouth and spewed forth a long stream of fire. Raising his hands in the air Ra reached out to the fire and drew it towards him, allowing it to encircle him before filtering it inside of him. As the flames disappeared Ra slowly stumbled back, his knees buckling as he reached out and steadied himself against a tree. "Damn that demon," he muttered.

"I'll take care of it," Alje whispered as she suddenly leapt in the air. Her skin moved and rippled like water when disturbed. It stretched and contorted as two wings shot from her back. A tail appeared next as her body became riddled with scales and in seconds a large dragon roared into the sky, challenging the demon.

Korah

Korah nearly fell off the demon as he stared at the Dragon is disbelief. This group had a dragon traveling with them! What were the chances of that, they were clearly more powerful then he had thought. The dragon bellowed as it opened its mouth and released a large fire ball that came flying toward them.

Korah quickly pulled a small bell out of his cloak. Raising it he let one thin chime ring through the air. As the sound traveled it washed over the fireball, causing it to filter out before dissolving into the air. Smiling thinly Korah pointed at the dragon and yelled, "Attack, kill the beast!"

The demon roared and charged forward, ramming into the dragon as the two began to tangle and fight. Korah leapt down from the demon's back, escaping the battle between the two behemoths as he drew his sword and turned to watch. If the demon lost he would finish off the wounded dragon, if the demon lost...

Altu

A huge mass was sent reeling through the air, slamming straight into Altu's head with nearly enough force to knock his brains through his skull. He staggered as the dragon got to it's feet again, reering up to the demon.
Altu's head throbbed madly, as he staggered through the horde of zombies. The reeking smell of flesh made his head turn even more. He could not see. He could not think. He roared as something razor sharp plunged into his side, twisting in the wound before being pulled back again. He screeched in anger, his eyes flashing a dangerous yellow. He managed to grab the culprit zombie by the head as it yelled a victory cry, and with his giant talons, he squeezed down hard. The loud crack and the wetness on his hand was enough for him to know that another zombie was dead.
He shook his head as his double vision came together to form a blurred image of the battle field.
His father was nowhere to be seen.
"Father!" he yelled, knocking, kicking and slashing anything that got into his way, ignoring the gushing blood pouring from the wound in his side.
Again he felt the familiar feeling of something smaking into him, but this time it was cold and it seemed to writhe as it slid off his feathered back.
He spun around to see the demon staring straight at him. A challenge.
It lifted another one of the zombie soldiers and flung it at him, but he shielded him self with one of his wings shrouding his body. It bounced off with a scream anf fell to the fround. He kicked it with such force it sent the corpse reeling, knocking down the zombies if front of him, clearing a path to the demon.
Just as the dragon crashed into it again, he reared up and took to the skies, circling the two fighting below him.
I have to pick the perfect moment...
He saw the demon push Ajle back in a grapple, exposing the back of his neck...
He made a graceful twist in the air, closing in his wings and beginning to plummet downwards at a speed so fast he molded into a blue and black blur.
Then he clashed with the demon.
Then hit the ground with an eruption of sad burying them all. Altu kicked and thrashed at it, freeing himself much faster than the large demon could. He flung himself onto the beast's shoulders, his long scaled tail twisting around it's neck like a python, squeezing down on it's throat.
The beast made a garbling sound, clawing up at Altu as the rest of it's body was embedded in the hot sand. Ajle took this opportunity to grab it's arms, making the demon's vunrable chest open to attack.
Then the horde of zombies where upon them, clawing and screaming in their attempt to save the demon. Altu released one of the arms that grappled with the demons collosal clawed hands to rip at him, as it's breath turned into rasping.
"Ra!" Altu roared, as the demon flung it's head from side to side, making his head spin. "Ra, get him now, quickly!"

*Hey, I was thinking that Shed-Scale could be in alliance with Korah and Co.? Maybe he offers his help if Korah helps him find Skyfight, Altu's mother. Just a thought ^^*

I followed Traystal with much effort. He was fast, much faster then I'd expected.

"Are we almost there, Spirit?" I asked.

"Traystal," He corrected,"and yes, we are close. Look, just up ahead." The shadow made a movement as if pointing forward and I did. In the shade of a lone tree were people. No, not people, creatures. I was sure of it.

Meer

Zombie soldiers shambled towards him, and every one of Meer's senses screamed at him to run from them, or to throw himself at them in a suicidal frenzy. Surely he couldn't survive a battle with them.

But his knight's instinct told him what to do. He dropped into a ready crouch, drawing his sword and keeping it poised before him. His eyes flicked from one zombie to the next, quickly sizing up the nearest ones.

Then he took a step forward, stretching his sword out to slip between the rusted chain links of a hauberk. The undead folded over itself with a grunt, nearly trapping the blade, but Meer was faster. He stepped backwards, sliding his weapon out, and then swung it through the zombie’s exposed neck, severing it. Then he took another step back. There were still many more of them, though he had plenty of ground behind him. For the time being, it seemed that this tactic would suffice. Although, it would be something of a chore.

Traystal

As he pointed, he saw more creatures than he had last time. Had they gathered a small army to their cause already?

No...this was much the same kind of foe as before. Why was he only showing up at the same time as this necromancer. A spirit shows up at the same time as a necromancer, and saves the witch. He disappears shortly after. Then, when the necromancer appears again, so does the spirit, claiming to be a friend! It sounds like a lie even to my own ears. This is truly the worst luck I've had since I died.

He turned to Rush, “Elven friend, it seems my companions are in trouble. I would appreciate it if you focused on whatever you perceive to be the greatest threat, rather than protecting me, or, gods forbid, fighting by my side.”

The elf looked offended, “But Spirit-"
“Traystal.” He said, taking his visible form, “I go to fight the zombies. They cannot harm me. The necromancer is the one I fear most.”

He leapt forward, straight into a zombie, disappearing inside it. Once within, he set to work dismantling the magic that animated it. It wasn’t difficult, Traystal had had many years of experience using it as both the personal assassin of a sorcerer, and in fending off humans. The lack of a soul within the zombie made it even easier, there was no resistance.

The zombie fell barely five seconds after Traystal entered it, and then a shadow stretched out from the corpse and entered another one. This manner of attack was perfect for fighting the undead.

The one drawback was that the necromancer would almost certainly notice that something was thinning out his ranks a little too quickly. Then again, he seemed to be more preoccupied with the battle between his pet demon and the dragon that had apparently joined them in his absence.

Max

"Oh Korah," Max yelled. There was no response. "Korah," Max yelled again, in a sing song voice.

After this time Max jumped to the next tree, and kept hopping. Then when he was close enough, jumped in the air. the dragon was just close enough for him to grab the tail. From there he pulled him self onto the scaled beast, and ran to the head. The dragon, shocked from this, began to to shake, but it was to late, max had jumped onto the strange griffin basilisk high breed. This one was quicker to re act, but still to slow, because a moment later, Max was on Korah's demon.

"What?!?" Korah yelled.

"Well there seems to be a ghost among us. I saw some zombies just drop. And knew you were to good to let your spell break, even a bit," Max said. "You might want to get rid of it, and summon a few more soldiers if you can. We are getting low."

Korah nodded, and Max jumped off. Landing on the half griffin's head, to the dragon's, then slid down it, landing lightly in a tree again.

-Scado-

Scado had to resort to using his claws and teeth since he lost the Blood Blade. He tore zombies in half with his sharp claws and used his teeth to rip off the zombie's head. He had eventually reverted to standing on all fours while attacking, running in between the people and lunging from below at the zombies.

Scado felt as if he was fighting for hours. The zombies fell over when attacked, but they were quick to rise again. After more fighting he realized that to defeat a zombie its head had to be removed. "Quickly, take off their heads. It's the only way."

Hey sorry I haven't posted lately. My life has been crazy busy and I just found out that my insurance has gone up $150 which means I will need to work more... oh yay :P

Ra

"Ra!" Altu roared, as the demon flung it's head from side to side, making his head spin. "Ra, get him now, quickly!"

Ra nodded as he turned to April and yelled, "Bind the demon, and quick, it will take me a few seconds to work up a spell powerful to take him out."

April nodded and with a flourish of her wand the grass and vines around the three fighting figures rose up out of the ground. They immediately began to wrap around the Demon, binding it to the ground while Alje and Atlu held it down.

Closing his eyes Ra began to murmur and chant, drawing on the power of the sun as he felt energy, life, began to hum and flow through his veins. A soft yellow glow slowly began to rise from his body like a gentle mist. It danced and fluttered along his skin, pulsing and glowing as he stretched up his hand and a small ball of fire appeared. The fire looked like the sun, tiny spikes of energy lanced out from it, as it began to glow and swell.

Ra saw April step back a bit, shielding her eyes and trying to escape the intense heat that burned from the ball. "Get back, now!" Ra shouted as Alje and Atlu leapt off the demon. The grass and vine strands that were holding it began to snap as the demon struggled to rise. Ra stretched back his hand, ready to throw the fire ball, but all of a sudden something slammed into him, knocking the wizard to the ground.

With a cry Ra fell to the ground, the ball of energy flying from his hand as he whirled around the see a Vampire glaring down at him. "Can't have you interfering, now can we," the Vampire hissed, his red eyes glowing with malice as his hand flew down, aiming for Ra's head.

Ra quickly rolled out of the way, and leapt to his feet, barley avoiding the strike. Turning he saw the ball of energy fluttering in the air, shaking and vibrating as the fire within it began to unstabilize. "Fool," Ra yelled, whirling on the Vampire, "Do you realize what you have done!"

At that moment a couple of things seemed to happen. The demon burst forth from the bindings, tearing them from the earth as it rose with a loud bellow. The ball of energy Ra had created exploded, without his magic to sustain or control the blast it imploded and then released a large blast of energy on all around. Atlu and Alje were sent flying as was the demon who caught a large portion of the blast.

Whirling around Ra saw April a little ways away. Her face contorted in fear as the wall of fire plowed along towards her. Running forward Ra tackled the witch, pulling her to the ground as the blast of energy hit them and the enemy Vampire, sending them all flying to the ground meters away.

Ra couldn't remember much after that. He tried to stand, but saw that there was a piece of shrapnel, looking like it had come from a tree branch, sticking out of his side. April was screaming and yelling at him, pulling on his arm as he stumbled along behind her before slowly keeling over and passing out.
