Mythical Creatures of Sada

This is a storybook I created a long, long time ago. (original story: topic16914.html )The main story is never set in stone with this, but the basic story is: After 50 years of peace in Sada new evil has come, threatening Mythical Creature and Human alike. Humans are once again turning against Mythical Creatures. Lethero is the only person who knows of the danger, but he is too old to do anything about it. He tells his granson, Scado of the secret and sends him off to fight this threat, but the road will not be easy. Groups of humans have banded together to hunt down the Mythical Creatures. But this journey is not without its rewards. Scado will also meet up with as many new friends as enemies and maybe some of the Legends his grandfather talks fondly about when he remembers the old days.

In this storybook you can be any Mythical Creature you choose, or if that doesn't suit you, then human. The list ranges from Alans(people with wings) to Werewolves to Vampires and many more. Besides the obvious, like acting like a god, I have only one: Each post must be at least 1 paragraph long comprising of three or more sentences. If you have any questions or need assitance selecting a creature, just ask me. For the character bio, just follow my example for Scado and Lethero.

Name: Lethero
Gender: Male
Race: Werewolf
Age: 89
Description Has white hair in wolf form and human form. Has long since taken off his leather armor and given it to his grandson. He now wears a long white robe.
History: Is one of the Legends that had defeated the evil of the past. Is noted for the creating the peace alliance between the Human and Mythical Creatures.

Name: Scado
Gender: Male
Race: Werewolf
Age: 20
Description: Looks a lot like his grandfather in his youth, with white hair and wears the pitch black leather armor with a blood red paw in the middle of the chest. Carries a Scimitar on his back.
History: Nothing significant for him except his relation to a Legend.

Name: Ringo Tori, Rhett for short.

Gender: Male

Race: Alan (People with wings.)

Age: 17

Description: He has ivory white hair with the occasional lock of ebony black thrown randomly into the mix. With a sparkling deep sea blue left eye and a dangerous fiery crimson right eye. He is loomingly tall and somehow, even if he is shorter than you has a way of looking down at you. With goldne flawless skin, apart from his face which has a thin scar running vertically down his cheek, it is very noticeable. He is lanky, but fairly muscled and has this ambling grace. A tattoo like a hurricane, except with intricate spiderweb-like lines twists all around his right hand from the centre of his palm and to his shoulder. He wears a tuxedo at all times always showing him as out of place, there are holes placed strategically in the back to allow his wings, which subsequentally match his hair (white with a few black feathers thrown in), to always be unfolded. His teeth are sharp and protrude from his mouth whenever he smiles, its a very untamed look, beware. However, he is beyond handsome.

Uhhh, personality?: You know, when you lock wild animals in a cage and their mouths start to froth? Yeah, well Rhett is exactly like that. He is NOT what you would expect of the winged folk. He tells the truth always, but twists it into a cunning tainted verison of it, I assure you. Never expect to know what he will do next, never. His attitude is as far from an angelic looking person as can be. He's a dirty fighter and has the temper of a locked animal, if you snap at him prepare to be bitten, hard.

History: Rhett was captured and locked in a cage when very young and taken around the world as the rare Alan, a winged specimen people don't see much of. He was their prize showcase, but treated like a dog. And so he acts like the animal he was raised as. He learnt to talk by himself and ltaught himself many other things. When he was 15, he broke down the cage door in the middle of the night and stole all of the travelling shows money. He left and bought himself the specially made tuxedo with that money. He wears his tuxedo with pride of a pruning peacock. During the two years after that he has been searching for his race, the ever elusive race of Alans. Though since they're so rare, no one knows exactly where they live or even if they are still in existance.

Race: Water Nymph-can walk on water
Age: Unknown but looks about 18
Description: Amazingly beautiful, like all nymphs. Is about 5'4 with bright blue eyes and dark brunette hair with natural blue streaks through it. Wears almost belly dancer like outfits as she lays near a river bank. She loves taking on the role of a seductress and plays her harp heavenly. When she wishes it, only when she's standing in water, she can grow a fish tail and become a mermaid, hence her being a nymph. Mist appears out of nowhere when she seduces a human male and makes them do her bidding on occasion. She hates the humans who treat the medieval creatures like dirt.

Description: Tall, blonde, tan, blue eyes, and a bow and arrow slung over his back. Resembles Zelda. Is very judgmental and impatient. He's really curious too and has a tendency to speak before thinking.

Personality: He is serious and ill tempered. He does not like people who goof around, or waste time. If you get on his bad side you are in trouble.

Abilities: He has a knack for finding treasure , and is a very good fighter.

Personality: Light and playful. Always having fun, and is unpredictable in how. He is very rash and unpredictable

Abilities: He can heal from any wound, and his tears can do the same for others. When he dies he bursts into flames, and then is reborn from his ashes, his lifespan is about 500-1,000 years. He controls fire, and is very strong

History: He will reveal in the story

Name: Fyra
Race: Firedrake (small dragon, around the size of a large dog)
Age: 189
Description: Red scales, silver claws, yellow wings. Eyes glow.

Other: Fyra is fluent in many languages. Friendly, but has a temper. Has a strange, and sometimes cheeky, sense of humour, and is only just reaching maturity. She can fight using her claws, teeth, and can breath fire in short bursts. Demands respect and can fly extremly well, being more nimble and streamlined then her larger cousins.
She can also use 'tone' based, whistle-magic. Charms are used by emmiting strange whistles, and she cannot do so if silenced.

**edit** Fyra is one of the original 'sada' members, and is befriended with Lethero. Known for disappearing and reappearing at opportune moments, and for being a smart-mouth.

Name: Traystal
Gender: Male
Race: Spirit
Age: Appears about 18-20
Description: In many cases, he is nothing more than a shadow at the edge of a person's vision. When needed, though, he takes on a physical form, appearing more human. In this, he appears as he did in life, but less natural. His shoulder length, curly black hair has a barely perceptible dark green tinge to it, similar to a slight glow. He has bright green eyes and pale skin. He wears a white robe with the hood drawn up over a pale blue tunic.
History: Mistaken for a mythical creature by human inquisitors, he was killed in something akin to a witch hunt. He found himself reincarnated as a spirit, becoming the very thing the humans had feared him to be. For a time, he was bound by a sorcerer as a kind of bodyguard and servant, but recently broke free when the sorcerer was killed.

Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 18
Description: He has longish brown hair, and bright blue eyes. Looking at him, and the air of happiness with which he carries himself, it is clear that he understands little of what is going on in Sada. He wears the armour of a knight, with the exception of the helmet, with a grey surcoat, emblazoned with his family's crest.
History: He was never told the truth about how his father felt about the mythical creatures, and still doesn't realise that they are actually being persecuted. Those few he has seen executed have been tried as enemies of the state, his father being a lord, and he has been led to believe they are criminals. He does not believe this about every mythical creature, though.

Name: Harmony
Gender: Female
Race: Alan (People with wings.)
Age: 18
Physical Appearance: Golden blond hair. Fair skin with rosy cheeks. Light blue eyes. Tall and slender.
Personality: Harmony is just like her name, she’s very pleasant and peaceful. She’s a little damaged but you wouldn’t know it since she hides from humanity of all kinds. She's very graceful and has a soft and comforting aura about her.
History: She can’t remember where she was born and she doesn’t know much about her kind because she was raised to hide in the human world. It has been an excruciating pain to hide her wings tied tightly to her back. Sadly the humans caught onto Timothy and Harmony and hunted them down, catching only Timothy. Harmony has been hiding in the forest this whole time. She lives in a rather large and crafty tree house she’s built that is far out of human reach and sight. Out of habit her wings remained tied to her back.

race: Vampire

Background info: One of the oldest Vampires in the world he has all ways believed that peace is the answer. Not that he dose not constantly fight. He was created when he was just 21 often making him look like he is not wise and old as he is. often this comes to his advantage. For the past seven years he has been traveling with Adam. His apprentice. He is very well know through out all of Sada and is also partly feared.

physical appearance: Very pale and perfect his body is flawless and it sparkles in the sun *yeah I'm making a twilight vampire deal with it* He always wears a red coat with a black top and black trousers with blood red shoes made from drangon skin

personality: after years of life he finds that conversation like much else dosen't change he will very rarley speak to anyone except Adam who intrasts him in a way no other has.

background info: After his parents were killed in a fire he was saved by Peace and although peace took some convincing he finnaly accepted Adam as his apprentise. he has now been with 7 years and is despretly trying to get peace to turn him into a vampire

personality:friendly and bubbly very talkitive which gets on Peaces nerves

Gender:Male
Race: Half basilisk half Griffin
Age: unknown
Physical Appearance:




History: Altu enhireted some of his father's abilities. Similar to a Basilisk, he can cause any beast or human great pain if they look into his orange eyes when he is enraged. He once used this ability when he found a human standing over a dead Griffin, and ended up driving him insane with the pain, before finally killing him with one crunch of his technicolour beak. He is extremely lonely, but he never shows it. Being hot headed and deeply resentful of humans, he is in favor of storming their land and doing things the old fashioned way. His garbled, screeching cries are often herd from wooded areas at night.

Ash! You're back! *hugs* And you've brought Sada with you!

Name: Joran "Jo"

Age: Appears 16-19

Gender: Female

Race: Dragon

Appearance: Dragon. Human. As a dragon, Joran has deep green scales, like her mother, and bright blue eyes. She's still considered a small dragon because of her age, and her wingspan only covers 9 feet. As a human, Joran has deep black hair and the same bright blue eyes as she has while a dragon. She appears to be in her late teens, and has a slender, graceful build.

Personality: Joran takes after her mother in many ways. She is curious and mischievous, has a great sense of humor and is courageous and always seeking adventure. She's stubborn as well, and witty. She's not shy, but not necessarily outgoing and is loyal towards those she loves and cares about.

Abilities: Joran is able to change from human to dragon at will. While a dragon, she is able to breathe fire.

History: Joran is the daughter of Alje, one of the Legends that defeated the evil of the past. She is still relatively young for a dragon, only about 19 in human years. She was raised by her mother and never knew her father. Her mother has recently fallen ill and sent Joran to find Lethero, her old friend, for help.


Name: Amistin

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Race: Demon/Alan

Appearance: Picture. Amistin has shaggy dirty-blond hair and dark gray eyes. The lower half of his body is covered in dark scales and he has clawed feet. He has black wings sprouting from between his shoulders, but they're smaller then normal Alan wings since he is only half Alan and are black because of his demon heritage. His build is slender and his skin is pale. He normally wears a mask when he is out at night and carries a golden sword with him nearly everywhere he goes.

Personality: Amistin comes off as shy and quiet when you first meet him, but really he's trying to judge how you view him. If he can tell you don't like or trust him, he will return the feelings. If he can tell you accept him for what he is, he will respect you. He's mischievous and loves sneaking around, always searching for danger and adventure. He is an incredible judge of people and knows how to keep calm no matter what the situation.

Abilities: Amistin is able to fly due to his Alan heritage, but a shorter distance than most other Alans since his wings are smaller than normal because he's only half Alan. And thanks to his Demon heritage, he can see in the dark and the lower half of his body is covered in dark scales and he has clawed feet.

History: Amistin's mother was an Alan, his father a demon. His father disappeared soon after Amistin was born, and never returned. As a child growing up, Amistin was ridiculed and shunned by many of the other Alan children that lived in his village. The only friend he had was a young was another outcast; a young half elf named Lorein. The two grew up together and were inseparable until four years ago, when a fight broke out between them that broke them apart. Now Amistin wanders, trying to rid the world of darkness and evil, a traitor to the demon side of himself and an outcast from the Alans and most of the rest of society.

Gender: Female

Race: Witch

Personality: She loves all creatures and is loved by most anyone because of this. She travels alot and is quite literate, knowing up to 30 different dialects. She is seen as mostly bipolar though, but is mostly peppy and optimistic. Very, very clumsy.

Abilities: April is almost classified as a skilled witch if she is having a "good day", though she doesn't look like it. She can change into a cat and (if she tries) a bird.

History: She was an orphan when an an old Elfen couple discovered her. They discovered she had "the gift" at a young age and tutored her in fine magic. They were killed soon after her twelfth birthday after some humans discovered they were housing a human, they were convinced they were trying to train her in dark magic. She doesn't hate humans, just treats them like idiots and blames herself for her adoptive parent;s death.

race- Celestial Dragon: Celestial dragons are almost never born, they only come into existence when the planets aligne. Always born to human parents, they are a transient race. And rarely survive childhood. The birth of a celestial dragon is a herald of great change, but whether the change is good or bad no one ever knows.

personality- Quick tempered and cool headed, Keenan is quick to jump to the defense of those who he believes have been wronged. Stubborn, strong willed, and independent, with a wicked sense of humor. Keenan chafes at the chains that force him to pretend he is human. At the same time he is not sure what he's going to do with his new found freedom.

history- Born to human parents, Keenan's mother died shortly after he was born, he was raised by a father who loathed him for what he was. His father was the wealthy lord of an island nation, he despised all mythical creatures, and sought to use his son's powers to destroy. From the youngest age Keenan was treated as a weapon and tool, expected to do as told. And subjugate his emotions, as a result he has a lot more control then any normal 17 year old.

Tormented by the things he had seen and done. Eventually he couldn't take what his father was trying to force him to do, so one night he just up and left, flying to the main land, where he hopes to aid other mythical creatures. Keenan revels in his freedom, but is not sure what to do with it. He has been unable to remove the silver collar from around his neck, it was placed their by magic, and compels him to return to his father, kill all mythical creatures, yada yada. Keenan fights the collar, but day by day the compulsion grows stronger.

powers- Keenan isn't really sure what his powers are, he was never aloud to use them beyond turning into a dragon. His primary weapon is starfire, like normal fire only much much hotter. In his human form he weilds a sword made from an unbreakable diamond.

Personality: Ra is a fun loving God who can sometimes be a trickster. He is however very serious when the time calls for it and doesn't hesitate to

Abilities: Ra is an Egyptain God with the power to Manipulate and Create. This allows him to destroy magic/life, as well as to create things, even life. He also commands the power of the sun, able to summon its fire from within himself and release it. He can use most of his powers in human form and likes to stay looking like that so he won't draw attention to himself, most of the time he just tries and passes himself off as a wizard. He however is a lot stronger/quicker in his God form. He can also fly in God form.

During the day Ra is at his strongest, but at night when the sun disappears he looses his power over fire, and he cannot turn into his God form. He can be cut, hurt, and bleed like all others. His blood however is more powerful and potent then other blood. If a Vampire would to drink it... or anyone even a human... it would be bad

History: Ra has been alive for years, and he likes to keep a low profile as often as he can. He is a helper to magical creatures and humans alike though he is better known in the magical community. Ra was part of the great fight that happened years ago. He doesn't look as if he has aged a day since then, and he is ready as always to lend his help and wisdom.

He is ancient in most respects, and his history is a secret to almost all. It is said that he used to be one of the God's in the sky, but something awful happened that shook the heavens and he was cast down to the earth as a man. He is now Mortal, he will live forever, but he can bleed and die though he will never age. It is said that if he makes up for what he did then he will once again be granted his place in the heavens and once again rule over the sun. All of this, whether it is true or not, is known by very few people.

I think I might as well get this underway.

Lethero stared out at the morning sky. He couldn't escape the feeling of dread that

crept closer to him every day. This odd feeling of dread reminded him of the time when

the Priest was still alive, but he couldn't understand, the Priest had been destroyed

along with the hatred between Magical Creatures and the Humans. A knock came from

his wooden front door.

Note: Anyone can pick up from here. Plus, if you're talking about the Mythical Creatures use Magical Creatures instead, because in the world of Sada they are not Mythical. Mythical Creatures is just a name that stuck when I first created this storybook a long time ago.

personality- mischevious and clever, Saber normally has a very upbeat personality. She is slavishly loyal to her father and doesn't really have any perseption of right and wrong. Saber both loves and hates her brother.

history- Saber is Keenan's twin sister. As a result while she is human, she was born with a powerful affinity for magic. Their father gave Saber all of his love, caring for her despite the fact that she was 'tainted' with magic.

Saber is obsessed with her brother, (like stalker obsessed) and is determined to bring him back to 'their side'.

powers- powerful elemental magic, be warned Saber is the one who made Keenan's slave collar, so if you ever see her messing around with a silver ring, RUN.
