Awesomeness guys! Way to go! Woo! Lol :D

Rayne - Yellow Hill beta

Rayne ducked skillfully as the two pups repeatedly leaped at her in numerous attempts to get her down. She grinned maliciously and dodged the immature fuzz balls. She dashed around the area and stifled a few laughs. Every time her paws touched the ground, she'd spring in a different direction, creating an endless zig-zag pattern around the Yellow Hill camp. Storm and Leo sprinted after her, both knowing it was a hopeless case, but enjoying every fast-paced second.

After a few minutes, Rayne whirled around and began chasing them. Seldom was it that she showed her fun side, but she managed to get it out every once in awhile. She laughed maniacally as she pursued them, her long pink tongue lolling from her open mouth. It was obvious that Storm and Leo still had a lot to learn. They ran side by side, never once splitting up. Rayne made a mental note to correct their error.

When she tired of the chase, Rayne leaped into the air and came down at them. The shadow of a giant, seemingly flying wolf made them freeze and look up. As she descended, they crouched down, and their expressions went from excited to scared-to-death. Rayne, showing a tad bit of felinity, landed on all four paws, her two forepaws caging in the two defeated puppies. They were laughing hysterically. Rayne couldn't hold it in - she let out an amused (and somewhat relieved) laugh.

While fighting was her absolute favorite thing to do, it always stressed her out to no end. The pups never failed in getting rid of it. She loved them more than anything else in the world, and would sacrifice anything for their safety and happiness.

As she stood there over the laughter-stricken pups, she heard an almost nervous chuckle. She looked up towards the source excitedly, panting heavily, like an exhausted house dog. A huge, happy smile was cemented on her face.

---

Toxin - Black Tooth

Sting and I wandered around the back lands of the Black Tooth camp. As she had never been back here before, Sting had to inspect every new thing she saw, which was everything. I lowered my head and kept walking. On numerous occasions, Sting stopped somewhere too long, and had to run to catch up to me.

Finally, I spotted a hill where I guessed we would be safe. There was a circle of dense trees, which would ensure protection. There was no doubt in my mind; Sting needed training. I had every intention of toughening her up while we were out here alone, with no one to bother us. She had no idea, but Sting was in for the training of her life.

---

Glory - Loner

Glory paced angrily back and forth. 'Damn trespasser' was the only thing running through her mind as she moved. It was like a broken record.

She had half a mind to go after the creature and show her exactly what she had done, but the other half adivsed against it. The other half reminded her that she was pure brawn, and a little brain. Not that she was stupid, she was just stronger than she was smarter. If only Glory could make her "well thought out" plan backfire, she could get her down and unleash her viciousness on her. But the chances of that happening were slim and none.

Glory hadn't been hurt badly - her massive collar had protected the majority of the injury, but not all of it. Her neck still throbbed madeningly, but she blocked it out of her mind. She was more focused on the patch of dark brown fur that was now lying on the ground - fur that should still be on her neck.

'How?! How could a prissy little creature like that have gotten the better of me?! Me?! Brain doesn't beat brawn...not all the time,' she thought to herself, a little amazed.

Glory sat in the dirt and pouted for a little while, before heading off to track down an elk herd she had seen not too long ago.

---

:D Lol. Hey, Moo, if you wanted Sonnet to befriend Glory, I wouldn't mind :) She could use a friend ;) Haha. She could also toughen her up a bit, so she could be brain and brawn ;) Lol. Just throwing it out there :)

*ha ha, sure, Sonnet is pretty friendly anyway. How about they bump into each other during the hunt? (except can we change the prey to Pronghorn, as Sonnet was already tracking them ;))

Sonnet, Dispersal wolf

Sonnet kept her head low to the ground, following the scent trail of the Pronghorn. Her light foot falls were unheard due to the twittering and chirping of morning birds.
She suddenly changed course, making sure the wind was behind her back as she approached the deer like creatures, grazing in a clearing.
She kept low, creeping closer and closer until he lay concealed behind a moss covered rock, her emerald eyes peeking up over its surface.
She spied one of the beasts, nursing a bad leg. The puntures told her it was most likely another wolf, working alone like she was.
Her eyes flashed. Her mucles contracted. She sprang at the pronghorn.
They scarpered in all different directions, much to her dismay.
Then, she collided with another wolf, snarling as she hit the forest floor with a painful thud.
"Not you again," she grumbled as Glory squared up to her again.

Lhuna, Yellow Hill

"That's amazing Ossal. Friends with The White Wolf..." her voice broke off slowly, as she blinked in awe at this. He nodded and smiled at her in response, not something he did often.
"Lido said things about my father." She felt like a child when asking Ossal about this. It was silly, really. But she barely remembered her parents, and Ossal knew more about them than she did.
As if reading her mind, Ossal said in an irritated voice, "Don't believe anything that mongrel said to you, Lhuna. He was trying to anger you. You know how anger affects a wolf when in a fight; they lose the ability to think. And that Lhuna, is your greatest weapon in a fight."
She lowered her head. "When I was fighting Lido I didn't even think. I just went in crazy scuicidal mode." She couldn't even laugh at her joke; the pain was too fresh in her mind for her to joke about it.
"You thought about the best way to end the fight. And maybe the land slide was; I don't know. But you still did it Lhuna. The White Wolf was on your side that night."
"I think that's the only reason that I thought of that. She was prodding me in the right direction the whole time.
Ossal shook his head. "I assure you, the thought was of your own mind, not anyone else's. Now, you should rest, and regain your strength." Ossal left her to sleep, but she knew her mind would be plagued with the mysterious Pale-Face, the corpse of Lido and the mysterious White Wolf.

Zodiak, Yellow Hill

He lay outside Lhuna's den, patiently waiting for Lhuna's return. Every so often he sighed, and looked down into the den, but saw nothing but blackness. He rested his head on his paws, watching Tier pace the area, muttering to himself.
He wanted to go and lie beside her, to make sure no nightmares would plague her mind when she most needed rest. But he knew he would only keep her from sleep. In their pup days, they would sit up and talk all night; about the changing faces of the moon, about their hopes and about their fears.
His eyes darted to Tier again. "What's up with you?"
Tier stopped, and looked at Zodiak. "Nothing that concerns you."
Zodiak's upper lip curled slightly to reveal a flash of his teeth. "So nothing has changed then?"
Tier looked away and said nothing, while Zodiak returned to his sentinel duty. Ossal left the den some time later.
Tier stood just outside the den now, looking into it's depth.
"I need to ask Lhuna about something." Zodiak stood up.
"She wants to rest."
Tier looked up at him. "When she was halucinating, was she talking to me or to you when she said-" he broke up abruptlu, shaking his head.
"What in White Wolf's earth are you talking about?" Zodiak raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing." Tier left him alone this time. Zodiak shook his head at his retreating figure and rested his head on his paws.
He didn't expect Rayne to come crashing into him, chased by the two pups.
He was sent head over paw down the back of Lhuna's den, finalling rolling to a stop. He nearly choked on his own tongue when he saw he was pinning Rayne to the ground. She winked at him as he scrambled off her, the fur prickling on his face in a wolfish blush.

I need to reinsert Cana into the plot..

Cana -Yellow Hill

Luckily it was only Rayne and the two pups that stumbled through the bushes. My senses were a little messed up I guess. I then realised that there was a deep gash over my nose.

I noticed Zodiak and Tier jump out of the way when the trio came through. Rayne caught the two pups easily between her paws. That's why Leo will make a better scout than a hunter. I shook my head. She didn't know how to fight skillfully, but of course she was still young.

"Look's like you two need to learn more before you go up against out beta." I said, trying to stifle a laugh. "And how would that work anyways, two betas?"

Rayne smiled a little wolfish smile at me. She loved the pups even more than I did. I could see her devotion in her eyes.

Randyll - loner

I came through the bushes to find a she-wolf pacing angerily. She spun around to face me when she heard me and growled fiercely.

"What pack are you?" I asked, ignoring her anger. I didn't need to fight her if she wasn't a Black Tooth.

"I have no pack." she growled.

"Okay then. Neither do I." I tried to sound as friendly as possible.

The wolf sprang at me anyways. I dodged her attack quickly. "What was that for?" I asked.

"Get out of my territory!"

I sniffed the air. It wasn't heavy of any pack scent. I decided it might be best to leave anyways. "I'll be on my way then."

I ran away from the angry wolf. I followed the lake and ran right into another she-wolf sitting on the ground.

------
I think that'd be Sonnet by the way. And Glory was the 'angry wolf'

Lol of course :)

Glory - Loner

Glory's lips quivered as saliva drooled from her exposed fangs in a terrifying snarl. First, this wolf trespassed and made a fool out of her. Now she was going after the Pronghorn that Glory thought she had seen first. Did she not get enough? Glory's muscles tensed, ready to pounce.

"Wait, just hear me out," the rust colored she-wolf said.

"I'm through listening to you! Tired of your "brain"! I'll show you that brawn beats brain..." and with that, Glory leaped towards the wolf.

Unfortunately for her, the other wolf managed to dash out of the way.

"You're gonna have to be faster than that!" She called, stopping in front of a scared-stiff deer.

Glory let out an earth-shaking roar and lunged again. The red wolf moved again, and instead of getting her, Glory managed to take down the pronghorn. Every time the wolf stopped, it was in front of one of the larger animals, which all seemed to be so scared that they were glued to their spot. And every time Glory got close enough, the she-wolf would dodge her so that she took down the pronghorn, rather than her target. This went on until all the pronghorn were dead.

The wolf pranced happily around the dead animals, trying to chose one that would satisfy her hunger. Glory laid down and panted, completely exhausted. It took a break of laying down and calming herself to realize that her prey was dead. She stared at it, a little confused, but pleased nonetheless.

"We make a good team, you and I," the intelligent wolf called. "I'm Sonnet." Glory stared at her, and Sonnet stared right back, as though she were waiting for something. "Got a name?"

She hesitated, then responded, "Glory."

Sonnet smiled contently and Glory gave a toothy, bloody, almost evil grin in return. Sonnet flinched and quickly dug her face into her meal so as to escape the sight. Glory ripped a piece of the deer's flesh off and as she gnawed on it, she examined Sonnet.

"You're a tiny little thing, aren't you?" She asked.

Sonnet looked at her. "Me?"

"No, the deer," Glory replied sarcastically. "Yes, you!"

"Well, I guess I...never worked on my strength. My intelligence is all I've ever needed."

Glory almost choked on the piece of meat she was chewing on. "Ha! That'll never do. I mean sure, it helps, but you can't be all brain. You need some brawn. I can fix that..." she said with a cryptic smile.

Sonnet looked a little reluctant, but agreed.

Rayne - Yellow Hill beta

Rayne sat up and looked at a rather embarrassed Zodiak, her tail swishing playfully.

"C'mon, lighten up a little!" She exclaimed, giving him a quick lick on the face before running back out to keep playing.

Zodiak watched after her, bewildered. His mouth dropped a little and he stared her. This couldn't possibly be the same Rayne he knew! The Rayne he knew was quiet and serious and sulked around everywhere. This Rayne was running and playing and laughing and loving life. Who was this?!

Rayne sprinted around, rolling in the dirt with Storm and Leo, tossing them in the air and catching them gently. Cana and Bane watched and laughed a couple times.

Rayne was, for the first time in a long, long time, having fun. It felt good to run and laugh and play, things she rarely did. She barked and growled and yipped like a prissy house pet. Regardless, she was loving every minute of it.

Randyll

As soon as I saw her the she-wolf was gone. I growled discontented to myself. Was no other wolf going to keep me company?

I waited for a few minutes before I decided that I was going to be friendly with some other wolves if it killed them.

I sniffed the air and caught the scent of the wolf I had run into. I bounded in the direction it led. I always enjoyed tracking, the thrill of the hunt, even if I had never been very good at it. I ran for a while before the air became saturated with the scent of blood.

I came around a bend and saw the two wolves I had seen earlier sitting surrounded by dead pronghorn.

"Woah." I exlaimed. "You two do all this by yourselves?"

The two stared at me. The angry wolf from earlier growled at me again, but the other wolf smiled a friendly smile at me.

"So, what brings you two ladies near Summit Lake?" I asked. I admit, I was trying to be suave. I swished my tail as I approached the pair. Unfortunatly I was not a very balanced wolf. I tripped over a rock and face planted in the dirt.

Angry wolf looked at me, her eyes full of scrutiny, and Smiley wolf stifled a laugh. I need to learn their names. I thought to myself after using those very uncreative nicknames.

Sonnet, Dispersal wolf

She swished her tail back and forth, and chuckled a little at the new wolf. "So you got a name, then?"
The wolf smiled at her. "It's Randyll. Nice to meet you."
Sonnet grinned. It usually wasn't so easy to meet a wolf like this. Smiling, friendly, asking who she was without asserting any sort of dominance at all. She was the smallest wolf in the group now, but it didn't worry her at all.
"I'm Sonnet, this is Glory," she grinned at Randyll, who wagged his tail in response. "Want to join us for some food? There's plenty to go around," she said, her green eyes twinkling as Randyll laughed. They began tucking into the Pronghorn carcasses, chatting and laughing about the stories they told each other.
Sonnet grinned to herself, glad to finally have company at last.

*Sorry, it's all I got for now*

Glory - Dispersal Wolf

For the first time in her life, Glory actually felt some semblance of happiness. She could smile and not have it intended to be evil or threatening. Opening up was easier than she ever thought it could be.
She felt a little left out when Sonnet and Randyll began exchanging family stories, or at least, anything they could remember.

Glory had no recollections of any family she had. No parents, no siblings, no experiences, no nothing. So she sat quietly and listened while her new friends talked.

Friends...

The word was foreign to her. She never even knew any other wolves before, and now two of them were hanging out with her and spending time with her a laughing and having a good time with her. She actually felt...almost playful.

It was a strange feeling, but it was one she liked, and one she hoped would never go away. For the first time, she knew what she had been missing all these years.

Ossal

He knew long before his nephew could even be sure Ossal was in his usual spot that Tier was looking for him. When the young hunter finally appeared on the edge of the ridge where Ossal usually slept when the weather permitted it, the shaman was simply watching clouds pass the stars.

Tier sat beside him for a time, watching them as well. Then he cleared his throat, "Something's-"

Ossal didn't let him finish, "Wrong with Lhuna. I know what you're thinking, Tier. And you're wrong, she's perfectly fine."

"You didn't hear what she was saying when she was unconscious!" Tier protested.

Ossal shrugged, "I didn't need to. She was told three prophecies by Sky-Lark, none of which she understood and none of which she needs any help with," He managed to keep a grin off his face as he looked across at his nephew, "Least of all from you." Tier's fur rose in indignation, and he opened his mouth to protest, but Ossal continued on, "You don't know the first thing about riddles or prophecies, because you never listened to me, and on top of that,
you like her to much to see any kind of big picture."

Tier spluttered, Am I that obvious? No...but this old bastard can see through anything. And still he
won't help Lhuna. And why? Because it would mean stepping out of his mystical, spiritual load of-

"You still can't quite hide yourself from me, nephew. If you're just going to sit there and think nasty thoughts about me, you can go and argue with Zodiak or wait by Lhuna's den. Either way, stop bothering me. I want some sleep."

With that, the shaman folded his paws in front of him and rested his head on them. Tier, grumbling under his breath, trotted back the way he had come.

Lhuna, Yellow Hill

Right, okay, a Pale-Face. Think Lhuna, think.
Her mind remained blank. She frowned in irritation.
What has a Pale-Face? Hmm. Oh! I once knew a wolf with a pure white face. Oh! That could be it.
Oh wait... he's dead, isn't he? Ah yes, old Rumour. She shook her head sadly. How could he ever think he could swallow a shin bone whole? I mean, it was a pretty big pronghorn. But Zodiak shouldn't have dared him. So really it was his fault.
She shifted in the den so that she was on her back, staring at the russet earth above her. How was she ever supposed to sleep with three bloody prophecies to figure out? Why couldn't they just tell her straight, and up front for once? She sighed heavily, moving on to the next one.
Trust the Green Soul. Hmm. I.... wait.... oh. I've got nothing.
She growled under her breath. What the freakin' hell was a Green Soul anyway?
She moved swiftly on to the next one. North Star...
Well, the young wolf newly joined the pack was from the south of Yellowstone... so it wasn't anything to do with him. She got up, and sneaked past Zodiak who snoozed at the mouth of her den. She couldn't bear to wake him when he finally looked so peaceful.
She just walked where her paws took her, staring up at the navy sky and gazing in awe at the little spots of light speckled over the night sky. She stopped, still looking up at the constellations. She knew nothing of the stars, and she cursed herself previously for not asking Zodiak more about them. Her eyes turned to the great white circle that nearly swallowed the whole sky due to its size this night. She knew more about the moon than anyone. It was where she got her name from, obviously. She knew all it's phases, how it changed as the year passed, even the legends and myths behind its great white face.
She looked across again to the stars, skimming over the northern facing ones. Her eyes stopped as she came across a particular cluster of stars.
She knew this constellation... it was important.
Wait... it was coming to her...
She almost laughed out loud. Of course! Sky-Lark's star. It twinkled at her when her mind clicked with realisation. A sign, it must be. She was in the right direction.
She turned her head as Tier joined her silently, staring upwards as well.
She looked back up again, still searching for what it could be...
"She shines brightly tonight..." Tier murmured quietly, more for himself that for her to hear. But she smiled and nodded. "I thought you didn't believe in Sky-Lark."
They both looked down and met each others golden eyes in unison. "I believe now, Lhuna. I saw her come to take you... At first I didn't. But I guess this is a case of needing to believe in something to truly see it."
Her eyes twinkled. She'd never heard Tier talk like this before. He sounded less like the cynical, grumpy wolf he had the reputation for. More like the thoughtful and brave wolf she knew was buried under the fake shell that he hid himself in.
She looked again, murmuring his words under her breath.
"I've got to believe it to see it..."
One star seemed to increase in brightness, making them both gasp at it's beauty. The star that made the tip of the constellation, always pointing north.
Wait....
She cried out loud, jumping up and dancing. The North Star! Sky-Lark's star pointed North, that had to be it!
And just to confirm her belief, a cold breath of air blew over them again. Then she knew she had finally grasped the first one...
"Tier! You genius! Thank you!" she cried, licking his face quickly and running to tell Ossal what she had discovered. Of course, she wouldn't reveal the other two. But she was so proud of herself, she just had to tell someone.

Rayne - Yellow Hill beta

Rayne slept peacefully in the yellow grass, Storm and Leo lying side by side, tucked securely in between her front legs. Her chin rested over their backs and even hung over a little on the other side. All three of them had crashed soon after their little "romp" a few hours before. Nothing could wake the pups. A tornado could come through and chances are, they wouldn't wake up.

But Rayne was always alert. She was always listening, always prepered, always ready for anything.

At this particular moment in time, it was probably a good thing.

The sound of scampering paws across the earth made her eyes snap open. A set of white paws dashed by her, towards a small hill. Rayne lifted her head and watched after Lhuna as she raced towards a white mass asleep on the hill. Curiosity getting the better of her, she slowly stood and trotted steadily after her, making sure to keep a safe distance away.

Randyll

I quickly adjusted to being around Sonnet and Glory. Sonnet was extremely friendly and Glory could actually be tolerable when she got comfortable.

"So did you two see any of the battle between the two packs near here?" I asked them both. "Which packs where they?"

"Black Tooth and Yellow Hill." Sonnet said. "I didn't see much of the battle though. But from what I could guess it was pretty chaotic. Sky-Lark was even there."

I cringed at the thought of Sky-Lark. She had come to take Timber when he was killed by one of the Black Tooth wolves.

"Are you okay Randyll?" Sonnet asked me. Glory's head was even turned a little as if she expressed some interest in the pained expression I had.

"I'm fine." I lied. "Just a little homesick."

They seemed to take this excuse, and I was glad. I didn't want to drag them into my plan. Besides, I didn't enjoy thinking of myself as bloodthirsy or vengeful. Timber was my best friend though, I had to do something.

"Are we going to sleep under the stars tonight?" I asked, changing the subject. "Or do we have some sort of make-shift den to stay in?"

**hey, did yall know that Summit Lake was an Indian Reservation? :D**

Scythe, Scimitar, Talon, and Hera~ (wow that's a mouth full o.O)

The four wolves had gotten along exceptionally well, even Scimitar and Talon who had seemed turned off at first. Now, they were now hunting elk. After taking a dive through Summit Lake and rolling around in the den, Talon and Hera smelt like loners. Hera had laughed at the term, telling them that they technically weren't loners anymore.

The bull elk rose his head up from the grass, one ear cocked in Talon's direction while the other one was in Scimitar's. Takin this moment Scythe lunged, digging her teeth into the bull's hindquarters. The bull ran towards Hera, who was hidden, but ran out to meet him, digging her teeth into his jugular. The two male wolves, Talon and Scimitar, ran out from the darkness, all four soon taking the bull down, its jugular ripped out with gashes everywhere else. Hera held back while the others dug in, her nose in the air, trying to pick out an unfamiliar scent.

"Hera, are you going to eat?" Scythe questioned, muzzle bloody with the elk's blood. Hera nodded reluctantly and stood to her feet, walking over to the bull and taking a bite out of the shoulder. Scythe smiles crookedly and kept eating. While Hera chewed she kept thinking about the scent. It wasn't Black Tooth or Yellow Hill, but it was a wolf, maybe wolves.
Oh, the tiger will love you. There is no sincerer love than the love of food.

Glory - Dispersal Wolf

Glory cleared her throat. Sonnet and Randyll looked at her, a little surprised, like they never expected her to say anything. Ever. She looked at them, almost nervously.

"I have a spot..." she told them. "It's not sheltered, but it's isolated."

Sonnet and Randyll looked at each other, smiling. It confused Glory a tiny bit, but she didn't let it worry her.

"Haha I know. I've been there," Sonnet replied with a wink.

"Heh, so have I," Randyll added with a nod.

A little bit of tension built up inside her, but she forced it to die down. She was finally making friends for the first time in her life, and she wasn't going to let the fact that they had previously intruded on her land ruin it for her. She stood up and, with a half-hearted smile, she turned and led them towards her haven of large rocks and dead trees.

---

And, because I haven't talked about them in awhile:

Toxin - Black Tooth

When we reached the circle of trees at the peak of the hill, Sting began familiarizing herself with everything. She had guessed that this would be our new home for awhile, so she had to know her surroundings. It was all a bit annoying, really. How she thought she was so grown-up just because we were out on our own and she knew how to smell things. I sat down and watched her through narrowed eyes.

"Are you almost done??" I snapped after awhile.

Sting looked at me and narrowed her eyes. "I have to know the place I'm going to be living in," she replied stubbornly.

I rolled my eyes and stood up. "Stay here, and continue with your 'familiarization.' I'm going to look around elsewhere. Don't. Leave." I instructed sternly. Sting nodded in acknowledgment.

I sauntered out of the ring of trees and wandered around the surrounding area for a bit. I had never been in this area, so it was new to me too. I just didn't make as big of a deal out of it as Sting did.

When I decided that I had been gone long enough, I made my way back to our spot. When I got there, however, I discovered, to my surprise and dismay, that Sting was gone.

Tier

The young hunter sat there for several minutes, completely stunned. Did that mean Lhuna...No. He decided, She's just thankful for whatever I helped her with. He sighed a little to himself. He felt like he was always getting left in the dark by the wolves closest to him. Ossal and Lhuna never told him anything.

Still, he had to put up with it, at least for the time being. Ossal wouldn't tell him anything he didn't want to, and Lhuna needed to work this out herself. He sighed a little to himself. Sometimes life just wasn't fair.

Ossal

He grumbled a little, eyes half opening to see the moon's baleful half-light glimmering down at him. He pushed himself slowly to his feet, soft footfalls approaching him from behind. "Do you see the irony here, Lhuna? You worry about I'd not eating and not sleeping properly for months, and then, when I start doing just that, you come and wake me up!"

She seemed a little bashful, but when he turned around, he had a broad grin on his face, "How progress your mysteries?"
