Kayla~

"What?" I half-laughed and coughed, "Lark, Ghost and I aren't talking like that."

*Sorry its short. I don't know how Lark will respond...also, I hope this is ok! It would be too easy for them just to fall in love like that. I had to make Kayla a little oblivious to Ghost's feelings. *

Name: Nellie

Age: Two

Pelt colour and appearance: http://www.nationalparkstraveler.com/fi ... 20copy.JPG (But with piercings on her ears that are quite annoying and a collar that is much to tight and slowly suffocating her)

Pack: Loner, but loves to cause mischief within the packs

Position: Her own leader

Sex: Female

Background: She belonged to a hunter for the longest time, until some park rangers broke into her owners house and took her away due to her owner not having a permit to keep a wild animal. The rangers, however, didn't bother to take off the little accessories, including a collar, and silver earrings. They released her near Summit Lake in hopes that she'd find a pack. She found two, and now, she's bothersome to both of them.

*sigh* You guys... :P Somebody has to get this going again! Lol. I was going to wait until Kayla, Ghost, and Lark got back, but this has slowed down way too much, and I'm impatient ;)

Toxin - Black Tooth hunter

"So? What are we going to do?" I asked.

"What are you talking about?" Talon inquired, confused.

"Lido is dead, Viking is dead...we can't go alpha-less."

The wolves fell silent, unsure of what was going to happen to us.

"Maybe, y'know, we could...split up? Just for a little while?" Hera suggested. I cocked my head. Bors looked at her questioningly. "Or...not..." She looked away sheepishly.

"No, no..." He responded. "...I think that's a good idea." Hera looked at him, her face a twisted mix of confusion, surprise, and hope.

"I second that," I remarked, sitting up. Sting hugged my leg worriedly. I touched my nose to hers reassuringly. "Sting and I will go together."

Hera looked at Talon, and he nodded quickly. "I'll go with Hera," he told us.

We looked at Bors and Spike. "I'm going by myself." Bors said curtly. Spike nodded in agreement.

Hera sighed. "Alright..." She sounded as though she didn't want the pack to break up, but that it was for the better. It was.

I stood to leave, but was startled back into my sitting position by tiny, but nonetheless sharp, teeth on my leg. I looked down. Sting was clamped onto it, quite obviously with no intention of releasing it any time in the near future. I looked at her sharply, but she didn't let go.

"Sting..." I warned. She growled softly. "C'mon. Enough. Let's go."

"No!" She shrieked. An almost silent growl escaped from my throat.

"We've all decided." I put my face immediately next to hers. Her eyes were yellow orbs of both confidence and fear. "Let's. Go."

She swallowed hard, but again, responded with "No."

I snarled and sat upright. "Alright. Why not?"

"Not wihtout saying good-bye to everyone first," she told me stubbornly.

I growled angrily, but quietly, as she scampered towards her friends for a good-bye. I watched her with enraged eyes as the gave long farewell hugs to every wolf in Black Tooth. Hera and Talon welcomed her with open arms, but Bors and Spike were not so willing about it. While they were reluctant, they still managed to give her some kind of good-bye gesture as she made them terribly uncomfortable with huge loving hugs. After some time, she came sulking back to me.

"Now are you ready to leave?" I asked impatiently.

She sat down and watched the trees. "Nope," she responded. I flopped to the ground in surrender. "Not until Kayla comes back."

I should've known. Sting practically worshipped her teacher, as she was really the only "motherly figure" she had since my aunt was killed in a raid a few months back. Sting's idiot father got himself killed trying to avenge her. Never was too fond of my uncle. It was no surprise that that black and yellow beast from Yellow Hill was the one that did it.

Sting sat vigilantly, awaiting the arrival of Kayla for one last good-bye.

Ghost~Black Tooth

As we made are way back to camp, most of the other wolves were gone except for Toxin and Sting. "Kayla!" Sting ran up to us, and hugged Kayla.

"Sting. . .where is everyone?" she asked.

"We decide it's time to split up. . .at least for now." Toxin replied, as he got up.

"Every one already left, me and Toxin are going to stick together thou." Sting said sadly, as Toxin and her left.

"I think it would be a good idea for us to stick together." Ghost said as he looked at Kayla and Lark.

"Yeah, it will be safer." Kayla agreed.

"Where are we going to stay?" Lark asked. And for the first time Ghost didn't have a real answer.

Leo~Yellow Hill

Storm snuck up on me and tackled me to the ground, and we started to wrestle. Since I had more training I easily pinned him down.

"No fair you cheated." he whinnied.

I know I already have 3, but I'm bored, so I'm going to make another character :D She'll just be a loner ;)

Name: Glory

Gender: Female

Age: 3 years

Pack: None

Position: Loner

Appearance: Dark brown with white toes, patches over eyes, left hind leg, chest, belly, undertail, and ears. Aqua green eyes. She wears a big black collar with a jeweled cross pendant.

History: Glory has been aimlessly wandering Yellowstone her entire life. She's a tad bit emo and depressed, probably because she has no family and doesn't know any other wolves. She trained herself in the ways of fighting by ruthlessly killing the elk in western Yellowstone.

Personality: Like Rayne, Glory is a very skilled warrior, and murdering other animals (or people) is her favorite thing to do. Rumors of a fearsome wolf living on the farthest western border of Yellowstone have hovered around Summit Lake for about two years. She's always angry, and loves death, war, and bloodshed. She's very strong and will fight for any reason at all. Lack of parental care and affection have made her a tad bit heartless. She has no weaknesses, but can be defeated by five or more medium-strength wolves, or three very strong wolves. *Or just one Rayne ;)*

Picture below :)

---

And now, as promised:

Rayne - Yellow Hill beta

Storm and Leo played happily, completely care-free and oblivious to everything that had happened that night. Their laughter carried across the lake, so that even Lhuna, Zodiak, and Tier could hear them. They, of course, paid no attention though.

In the midst of their laughter and fun, a stifled growl carried towards them, freezing them both. Storm and Leo flipped around, towards the menacing growl. The jet black against the amber grass was the only thing that gave it away. Storm relaxed tremendously, but Leo was still tense and mortified. Storm smiled at his terrified friend and she stared at him, terribly confused. He dashed towards the black mass fearlessly. Before he could reach it, though, it ran at him first.

Rayne leaped out of the tall grass, straight towards Storm. The shock of the enormous wolf leaping at him made him slip and fall on his back. Rayne grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and dropped him in the dirt next to Leo, who was laughing hysterically. Rayne was less than amused.

"What are you two doing out here alone?!" She snapped viciously. Her fur bristled maddeningly.

Leo stopped laughing immediately and Storm slowly picked himself up off the ground. They both stared at her fearfully. Rayne sighed and lowered her head and her fur.

"You shouldn't be here. C'mon," she said, and picked up Storm again. Leo ran up and latched onto her upper foreleg.

Rayne brought them back to the rest of the pack, which was still resting on the shore.

---

I'll do Glory too :)

Glory - Loner

Glory's aqua eyes lit her path as she sprinted along her territory's border. The cool wind in her face and the adrenaline rush she got were the only things that kept her calm. She slowed to a trot, then a walk, and finally stopped altogether. Glory turned around and looked back in the direction she had come from. A long cloud of dust was trying to settle.

She grinned devilishly and stalked back to her "home" in a circle of rocks and dead trees. The mound of dirt she used as a bed called to her, and she obediently trotted towards it. She laid down and quickly drifted into a deep sleep.

---

Haha it's kinda boring, but it got her started. Anyone can "find her", just don't expect her to be very friendly ;)

I am just going to say that Kayla gets back, but Ill be vague

Bors~~

Kayla got back and I said bye, I thought it was only right because she was the only person who had ever actually shown any interest in me.

Spike and I ran out of camp and up the mountain. We would try and find a lake to settle down in, but it would be tough with only two people, and I knew spike would only stay for so long.

We stopped once for rest and a new scent tickled my nose. I looked around and a low snarl slipped from my lips. My first thought was Yellow Hill, but after fighting them for most of my life, I had a general idea of what their scent was like.

I motioned for spike to go around to the side and flank the area where the scent was coming from.

Just hoping to carry the story along...and I wanted another wolfie =)

Name: Randyll

Gender: Male

Age: three

Pack: Purple Ridge, now loner

Position: Scout

Appearance: http://media.photobucket.com/image/cool ... DaReal.jpg

History: In Purple Ridge territory, nearly on the other side of Yellowstone, word had spread that there was war between Yellow Hill and Black Tooth. Purple Ridge sent a few scouts to go check it out to make sure it wouldn't spread to other packs. Purple Ridge wolves are generally peaceful and try to keep all packs in Yellowstone calm. Randyll's partner on this mission was killed by a Black Tooth wolf when they neared the fight. Now Randyll hangs around Summit Lake in order to get his revenge, and he also has no clue how to get back to his territory.

Personality: Randyll is fun and likes to goof off, typically friendly. He is upset that his friend was killed by a Black Tooth wolf and wants revenge.

-----------------------

Cana - Yellow Hill

I heard Rayne reprimanding Leo and Storm by the lake. Bane and I continued past them, we just wanted to get back to camp.

We reached the camp and no one else was there. "They'll be back soon." Bane assured.

I sat down and rested my injuries. I laid my head on my paws and relazed.

A rustling came from the bushes. I could hear Bane tense up. I opened my eyes and watched the bushes. I sniffed the air, it didn't smell familiar.

--------
And here's Randyll.

Randyll - loner

I walked silently along the waters edge. The battle had died down, and the White Wolf had left. I sniffed the air, it smelled heavily of both Black Tooth and Yellow Hill wolves. Either the battle had raged for a very long time or I was near the boundaries.

I kept walking, concentrating not on the thought of my dead friend but on the thought of getting my revenge.

The wind blew towards me and I caught the scent of a wolf closeby. I growled defensively and let my gaze sweep the surrounding area. Yes, another wolf was nearby, but where? And which pack were they with?

-----
Anyone can stumble upon Randyll

*Lol guys, don't panic about not many posts. Plus, be careful with having so many characters. I don't mind really, as long as you post with them and can keep them in control. Brb I'll post in a sec, I'm just home from work. ;)*

*back, here we go! :D I hope this gets things going :p*

Sonnet, dispersal wolf

She skipped and jumped through the tall golden grass, reveling in the feeling of air on her face. The battle appeared to be over, she missed the worse of it. The golden morning sky was streaked with angry red, as if the bloodshed from the night before had been splattered across it as some sort of warning.
She jumped up in the air, snapping at some midges that buzzed low in the cool air. Sonnet laughed to herself as she began to trot onwards again, that same spring in her step.
She came to a semicircle of rocks. She was too busy snapping at the midges to even notice the wolf that lay sleeping under it. Her forepaw caught on one of the rocks and she was sent reeling over the top, landing on her cream chin on the other side.
She rolled over onto her paws again, catching the potent scent of a wolf she didn't know extremely close to her.
She turned her head calmly as a vicious snarl roared behind her.
"How goes it?" she said to the wolf, who continued to rip and roar like a chainsaw, her head lowered, ready to kill.
"Ah, the angry type." Sonnet swished her tail and raised an eyebrow at the wolf in an amused stare, her green eyes twinkling with curiosity. "What's your name?"
"As if I'd tell you, filthy mongrel!" the she-wolf spat, snapping her teeth together with a crack that echoed around the trees.
Sonnet laughed, only increasing the other wolf's anger to danger levels. "Your head's away, mad dog."
She turned and ignored the wolf completely, continuing on her way. Her ears snapped backwards when she heard the rapid footfalls behind her.
The other wolf lunged for her neck.
Sonnet skidded to a halt, pressing her body flat to the grass as the wolf went sailing over her, landing on her nose in the dirt. Sonnet jumped and dive bombed on top on the wolf, her teeth gripping down on her scruff with enough force to make the other wolf cringe. Any wolf hated that spot being touched, never mind being in the clutches of white shiny teeth.
Incoherent screams of anger ripped from the wolf's throat as it ripped and thrashed under her. Sonnet had her head, while this wolf relied on strength.
"Mind beats strength every time, remember that." She spat the wolf's fur from her mouth and sprag into the air like a March hare, trotting away into the distance as the other wolf hurled insults behind her.

(that was Glory, btw)

Zodiak, Yellow Hill

Zodiak's breath came up in clouds as he and Tier carried Lhuna back to pack territory upon their backs.
"Lemme walk..." she grumbled from their backs. He had forgotten about Lhuna's mad rambling. It seemed like she had been talking to someone... The thought of Sky-Lark speaking to Lhuna made his fur prickle with shock and awe.
Zodiak was already irritated enough, having to walk this close to Tier. Yes, they made a great team and all that, but he still hated his guts. Zodiak was pretty sure the feeling was still mutual.
"Nearly there," Tier grunted, as the scent of territory markers told them they had crossed the border.
They soon found Lhuna's small den, and they laid her down inside it's earthy interior.
"You okay, Lhunes?" Zodiak whispered, as Lhuna opened a gold eye and smiled at him.
"Fine... I just need a little time to myselg for a moment, if you please..."
Zodiak nodded, understanding her request perfectly. Even though he wanted to sit by Lhuna tonight, she had asked to have a little time to herself. Understandable, he thought.
He still had to check on Rayne...
He left the den, shooting a look at Tier, who seemed like he wanted to stay with Lhuna.
Worried friend is my job, he almost mumbled, before leaving in search of Rayne.

Lhuna, Yellow Hill

"Tier, I'm okay, don't worry about me," Lhuna said in a quiet voice, resting her head on the cold earth and watching him through a half closed eyelid.
"It's just..." he turned his head away and frowned.
"What?"
He blew out a lengthy breath, and then returned his gaze to hers. "I heard you say something, while you where knocked out."
Lhuna sat up, looking at him. She blinked slowly.
"You sounded like you were talking to yourself. It was terrifying. You kept muttering over and over, "Beware the Pale-Face." What does that mean?"
Lhuna sighed, and lay back down. She watched a spider creep up one side of the den's earthy walls. "I'm sorry, it's something I can't discuss with you."
Tier appeared angry, hurt almost. He stared at her with intense eyes. "Why not?"
"I can't even talk about it with Ossal, and I'm sure he would figure it out in two seconds. I know that Sky-Lark wanted me to do this alone."
His eyes widened, revealing the whites. "You... you spoke with her?"
"Yes."
The den lapsed into silence. Lhuna put her head down and closed her eyes.
"Thank you Tier."
Tier looked up. "For what?"
Lhuna smiled, but didn't look up to meet his gaze. "For saving me and for staying calm while Zodiak was throwing a fit." They both chuckled quietly. "Say thanks to Zodiak for me too, would you? He's too respecting of my requests, he scarpered that quickly."
Tier groaned in objection, but nodded anyway.
"And send Ossal in, would you? I have some questions for him."
"Sure." Tier nodded at her with a small small smile, and left the den.

*Billy, Lhuna just wants to ask Ossal a bit more about Sky-Lark, but not about the prophecies ;) )

Nellie~

Nellie yawned widely, shaking her tricolored pelt as she stretched her back legs. An unfamiliar scent had jolted her up from her long nap. It wasn't of Black Tooth or Yellow Hill, and it surely wasn't Jericho. She walked out of her den, swallowing in the air around her. Ah, how great the grass smelled after rain. She pranced across the empty clearing that her den was located in and into the forest, jumping off a drop off that went down six feet. She landed on her ebony paws gently and wagged her tail, eyes jetting around when the same scent from before filled her nostrils. It wasn't until a growl sounded from beside her that she began to be cautious.

Storm

Storm growled softly as Rayne dropped him on the ground. He glanced around. They were back at camp. He glanced at Leo, who was nervously pressed against Rayne's leg.

"You two stay here," said Rane severely. Storm cast Leo a mischievous glance. Rayne's tail was bouncing behind him, and Storm could practically hear it begging to be pounced on.

"What?" muttered Leo. Storm jerked his head toward Rayne's tail.

"Distract her," replied Storm. Leo looked as if she might protest, but Storm nudged her forward. Leo glared back at him as she trotted up to Rayne's side.

"So..." began Leo slowly. "Where are you headed?"

Storm lowered himself to the ground and began stalking Rayne.

"Why the sudden interest?" asked Rayne, a tad irritably.

"I don't know..." said Leo, flashing a pointed glance back at Storm.

"Why should I tell you, then?"

"... Because..." replied Leo unconvincingly. Storm bared his teeth at her. She was a terrible deceiver.

"Get her!" howled Storm excitedly. He jumped into Rayne, attempting to wrestle her to the ground. Leo hung back for a moment, but the thrill of the scuffle eventually drew her in. The two pups whined excitedly as they attempted to wrestle with Rayne.

Tier

He walked out of Lhuna's den, quietly cursing himself. True, he was concerned with the words, "Beware the pale face," but that hadn't been what he wanted to ask her about, not really. "I want to stay with him." She'd said. Did that mean Zodiak, like everyone had always suggested? Or had she meant him? Tier wasn't sure, and that was why he couldn't bring himself to ask. What if it was Zodiak, and when he admitted the truth to Lhuna, they just had a good long laugh at him.

Why was it that he could manage to speak his mind so easily around every wolf except Lhuna. Was that fair?

He shook himself a little - he had to find Ossal, Lhuna had told him she needed to speak with him.

As if sensing Tier's task, the shaman came trotting out of the scrub. He looked different somehow, as though he had been changed by the night's events, or at least the way they had turned out for him. What had happened to the old wolf? "Uncle!" He called, keeping his thoughts to himself for he time being, "Lhuna wants to talk with you about something!" Should I ask him about the Pale Face? No...Lhuka wants to keep that to herself. So be it.

Ossal barely acknowledged him, simply changing his direction a little and trotting towards Lhuna's den, disappearing within. Tier waited a moment, then started heading back towards his own den. He was tired, and wanted to forget this night, at least for a while.

Ossal

He ducked his head respectively in the direction of the young Alpha, "My nephew says you want to speak with me." Lhuna nodded, looking over at him from where she lay. Ossal continued before she could speak, "I suppose it concerns what you have been through this night? Your visitation from Sky-Lark?"

Lhuna winced, as if not liking the way he was able to perceive her thoughts so easily, or his easy use of the White Wolf's name. In truth, he only knew what this was abot because of his own talk with the spirit, rather than his above normal powers of perception. Those were far to confused this night.

"Who is she, exactly?" Lhuna asked, "I mean, I know all the legends about her, but you know the truth, don't you?"

"Sky-Lark was not the first wolf, though she was the daughter of one of them." He started, "She was the first shaman, and the greatest. She had no spirits to help guide her, at least no wolf spirits. But she could commune with those of the earth and the sky in ways no other shaman has been able to since. It was said she could even speak with the stars, and that they, in their eternal wisdom, would tell her of things yet to come. This is true, in part. Many also claim that those around her who are close to death have no way to escape it." He looked closely at her, smiling cryptically, "You know the truth of that, though."

"And how do you know all this?" Lhuna asked, "How do you know where the stories are wrong?"

"She is a friend of mine," he said, acting as though it wasn't much, "And we have spoken from time to time. Like this night. Although..." He said with a sly grin, "It is a rare thing to receive one of her prophecies. Let alone three of them." He wouldn't press any further onthat subject, though, even if asked. Sky-Lark's prophecies were for one individual alone. Only of shared to another by the spirit herself would that other be permitted to help decipher them.

Name: Scythe

Age: Two and a half

Gender: Female

Appearance: http://kayfedewa.deviantart.com/art/Cha ... e-11956853

Personallity: She was the youngest in her rogue pack, and was basically punished for it greatly. However, she can actually be pretty nasty. She's flirty, sarcastic, and has a dry sense of humor. She is, however, submissive when the time calls for it unlike her brother Scimitar, who always wants to be the boss.

History: The day she was born a group of rogues raided her pack's land, killing any warriors that stood in their way. When they raided the breeding den, where the alpha female and Scythe's mother bred, they killed her mother, turning on her older siblings that had protected her and her litter mates. The last two, she and Scimitar, were forced into the rogue pack, Scythe living off one of the many mothers in the rogue pack. Considering that she was the youngest and weakest, the pack treated her like a burden, only leaving her the scraps of food and often attacking her just for fun. She was two when she finally turned on the leader and killed him, running from the pack. Two weeks later her brother rejoined with her, and they found an empty badger den near Summit Lake, where they both stay.

~~

Name: Scimitar

Age: Three and a half

Gender: Male

Appearance: http://kayfedewa.deviantart.com/art/Cha ... r-11960261

Personallity: Scimitar is unbelievingly intelligent. He's cocky and calculating, but not intentionally cruel.

History: Same as his sister's, except he was second in command and was always fed and even loved. He was three when he chased after his sister and the settled in a den near Summit Lake.

~~Yeah I have five, oh well~~

Hera and Talon ~ Black Tooth

Hera sighed and pressed against Talon as they walked. She'd never given thought to it only being her and Talon. "Hey, let's head up this way," Talon suggested, starting up a steep hill. Hera huffed and ran after him, falling in step beside him. "You're quiet." He noted.

"I'm just thinking about something. What if there's something behind us splitting apart for a while? I think it's to bring us together as family. I mean, I'm already missing the pack and the wolves that I never paid much attention to." Talon nodded slowly, his wise eyes studying the sky.

"As am I. It doesn't exactly make sense to me." Hera nodded her head in agreement right before her paw slipping into a hole. It seemed empty, but had a foreign scent to it. Suddenly a set of teach clamped onto her tail, snarls sounding in the air around her.

Scythe and Scimitar ~ Loners

Scimitar snarled at the red and white wolf, who was calmly staring at him. He sank his teeth into the wolf's tail, even deeper. Scythe was at his side in moments, four dead rabbits hanging limply from her jaw. She dropped them and smiled wolfishly, telling him to let go. He reluctantly dropped the wolf's tail and backed away. "Hello," Scythe greeted, bowing her head in respect. "You must be one of local wolves, I'm Scythe, and this is my older brother, Scimitar. I apologize for his rash actions, but, you see, this den is our only home for the moment."

"That's quite alright. I'm Hera and this is Talon," she motioned to the brown wolf at her side. "We're from a currently departed pack that claims half of Summit Lake called Black Tooth." Scythe nodded slowly.

"So, since you're departed, does that mean you have nowhere to stay?" Scythe questioned and Hera nodded. "Well, we have room for a few more in our den. If it's fine with my brother I'm sure we can spare the extra room." She glanced at her brother, who was glowering at the two Black Tooth wolves.

"I don't care," he snapped angrily before grabbing a rabbit and disappearing into the den.
