Hi, Jack! (By the way, NBC is awesome :D )

Welcome to YWS! I'm sure that you'll have a wonderful time here and that your writing will soon flourish!
I'd just like to give you a run down of the rules.

1) The 3:1 ratio. If you can, we'd like you to do 3 reviews for every piece of writing or photography that you post on here. It isn't hardwired into the site as it was recently, and isn't going up to 4:1 as you might hear. But still, if you review people's work then they'll return the favour!

2) Plz no cht spk OR CAPS LOCK. This includes grammar, capitilization, apostrophes and overuse of punctuation (!!!!!!). This also includes the chat room. :D

3) Rate your work. When you sumbit a new piece then you can choose to rate it: E (everyone), 12+, 16+ or 18+. Members like to know what they're going to read so please think carefully about your rating.

4) Be nice. So no swearing outside of your stories and no flaming other members.

5) Have fun, lots 'n' lots of fun!

And now, some questions!

What do you like to read? What do you usually write? Pen, pencil or computer? Doing NaNoWriMo this year? Any favourite movies? Do you have a motto? What books do you read most often? Do you like history? Cats or dogs? Favourite colour? Spots or stripes? Would you rather run a mile, swim a mile, or sit at home and write for the amount of time it would take to do either of those things?

Ok, so I think I'm done now!

I hope you have a wonderful time on the site and don't hesitate to PM me if you need anything!

*hugs*

~Amy

Hi. *awkward wave* hell-llooo. My name's Kireth and I'm new. Pretty much here to write and receive feedback, and read and give some constructive criticism. Wow, I sound uptight. I mean as I usually say, indulge me in your imagination and I shall return the favour. PM me if you need some feedback, will tell you nothing but the truth. Oh, and making friends would be good, i really am a nice person

Hi, Rara-Avis!

I'm sure you see the rules above, but I'll just post them here...and of course, twenty questions for you!

1) The 3:1 ratio. If you can, we'd like you to do 3 reviews for every piece of writing or photography that you post on here. You might *hear* that it's a different ratio, but it isn't.

2) Plz no cht spk OR CAPS LOCK. This includes grammar, capitilization, apostrophes and overuse of punctuation (!!!!!!). This also includes the chat room. Grudgingly excepted chatspeak is: lol and brb. No more than that, please.

3) Rate your work. When you sumbit a new piece then you can choose to rate it: E (everyone), 12+, 16+ or 18+. Members like to know what they're going to read so please think carefully about your rating, because some users will get mad if a work is not rated appropriately.

4) Be nice. So no swearing outside of your stories and no flaming other members. No one likes a fight, we try to keep things happy.

5) Have fun. It's not hard to do--It's YWS!

Twenty Questions: (Not really twenty...)

Rain or sun? What do you usually write, genre wise? Pen, pencil or computer? Doing NaNoWriMo this year (I'm not!)? Any favourite shows? Do you have a reason to write that propels you more than anything else? At the time, what's your favorite book? Cats or dogs? Favourite colour?

Ok, so I'm pretty sure I covered it all.

I hope you have a wonderful time on the site and if you need anything, you can just PM me.

Hi, everybody, I'm new here at YWS, but my cousin already presented me this site. Her nick is Shauni (know her?).

I registered to make friends and learn the right way to write, although I'm very shy :(

I'm totally adicted to videogames like "Legacy of Kain" (all of them) and to all kind of books! (except Twilight - I simply don't like it) :thud:

Well, I think that's all. I hope to get what I wanted by registering here. Bye everyone!

PS: I also hope I posted on the right place :?

Hey Raziel!

Welcome to YWS!!!

I'm sure you've read the rules, but I'll post 'em any way. xD

Some questions...

Pen and paper, pencil and paper, or keyboard and computer? Favourite book? Favourite author? Favourite colour? Any particular reason you write? Favourite movie? Favourite TV show? Would you rather be inside on the internet, or outside doing sport?

Happy YWS-ing! :D

PM me if you need help or for any reason. xD

~Mo.

P.S. You posted in the right place. :D

Hey Mo. Thank you for reminding me the rules xD (I didn’t remember some of them). :D

1) I rather use keyboard and computer.

2) I read so much that I don’t have a favourite book at all. However, I like “Eragon” very much.

3) As for the books, I don’t have a favourite author.

4) Favourite colour?! Well, I would say black – a neutral colour.

5) I write because I want to express my feelings.

6) I like much movies, animations, adventure, action, like “Matrix”, “Saving Private Rian”, and so on...

7) I don’t watch TV shows at all...

8) A bit of the two – I like doing some sports, but I also like to get online to play, talk...

Hello Raziel! Welcome to YWS!

I see that Mo has gone through the rules for you so I'll just give you a few tips to get started with.

The buddy system! This is a really great thing in which any member on this thread will mentor you for your first month on YWS, just to make sure that everything runs smoothly! It's optional, of course, but you might like to give it a look.

Also, you might want to take a look at the groups! We have quite a few groups on YWS, from discussing your favourite novels to the debating side of things! I'm sure that you'll find something on there for you.

Anyway, if you need anything then feel free to send me a PM! I'm a Greeter so I really love to help :D

*hugs*

Hey, Diva! Glad that your made your post.

I'm going to give you a rundown of the rules because they're pretty important on YWS.

1) The 3:1 ratio. It's recommended that you do 3 reviews for every piece of your own work that you post on the site. Reviews should be more than 3 lines long and be constructive, not just a line of meaningless praise.

2) No cht spk or CAPS LOCK. This rule also encompasses proper grammar, capitalization (I, not i) and apostrophes when they’re needed (don’t, not don’t).

3) Rate your work. So if it includes “adult content”, extreme violence or language,
please rate it appropriately. E (everyone), 12+, 15+ or 18+. Please think about rating your work because some members don’t want to read certain things.

4) Be nice. So no flaming other members and keep the language inside your stories.

5) Have fun! (Not hard to do, this site’s awesome!)

Well, I’ve already nudged you in the direction of the buddy system, so I think I can just move onto some questions!

What do you like to read? What do you usually write? Pen, pencil or computer? Doing NaNoWriMo this year? Any favourite movies? Do you have a motto? What books do you read most often? Do you like history? Cats or dogs? Favourite colour? Spots or stripes? What inspires you to write? Any nicknames that you’d prefer to be called?

Anyway, I hope that you have a wonderful time on the site and I look forward to seeing your work.

If you have any questions then feel free to PM me! (but then, you knew that already!)

*hugs*

Hello everyone! :)

I'm new to this site but I've known about it for quite some time now, but I just did not have the courage to join - until now that is.

About myself, well I'm Jenny and I'm from Sweden. I'm here to gain more experience from writing and to find people with the same interest to write stories - mainly fantasy but also a touch of horror.

I hope that I'll enjoy my time here (which I surely will!) Well I've written too much as usual but I wish you all good luck and I'm out!
