Hello KN! Welcome to YWS. It would be a good idea to introduce yourself by making your own thread in the welcome forum, that way more people can get to know you, and want to check out your stuff. Reviewing other people's work is also a good way to get reviews for your own.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
I'm a godmother, that's a great thing to be, a godmother. She calls me god for short, that's cute, I taught her that. --Ellen DeGeneres
Hey Everyone! My names Amber but everyone calls me Shorty. I am new here so any advice or tips would be great. I love to write and draw. But i do have a hard time thinking and coming up with ideas to write about. But feel free to PM me. Thanks!
1) DONT SPEAK LIKE THIS or lyk dis girlfraaand. No chat speak even in chat! 2) 2:1 ratio - you need to do 2 reviews for every piece of work you post. Bear in mind, this is going up to 3:1 in October. 3) Be nice to people - keep swearing to your stories and give constructive crit.
It might help if you posted your own welcome post, that gived people a chance to get to know you better! Hope to see you around! ~Amy

Hey everyone, ive just been reading all these stories and posts, this websites pretty amazing. Ive always loved reading and specially writing, but i thought i was the only one :S Im looking forward to improving my writing and vocabulary, if anyones going to help me out anyway. I wrote a story last year and i want to post it, but im scared of what people might think, its not that good, ive improved since then, but still.. :S. Anyway nice to meet you all
This is definitely a great place to improve on your writing and vocab. I find reading and review other people's work is a great way to pick up new writing techniques! Don't be scared to post your work up on here! No one expects you to be JK Rowling! And if you ever do post your story, I will try and find the time to review and give you a lot of helpful tips on how to improve further!
See you around (:
Four kinds of people I hate most in life. 1. People who use a preposition to end a sentence with. 2. People who can't count. 3. People who think it's 'clever' to quote ironic phrases.
Hey, I'm am yet, another newbie. Member of 4? days . I get confused often in chat , and say random things. e.g. Stargate HELLO (woops, I used caps). If anyone feels like reviewing romance, my story is needing reviews!!! (By the way, I like exclamation marks ), (and smilies ).
Hello Mo.! Yesterday, I made a review on your newest work but then when I clicked "submit" it all gone away and I lost my review. And I couldn't make it all again 'cause I was in class and if my teacher caught me, I'd be in trouble. Oh well, I'll *remake* it today! And welcome aboard! And chat is very confusing! So much! I get messed up there! X|
Hey all! Brand new here, a friend recommended this site if I wanted to become a better writer. So far, I've put up something, as well as critiqued two people(which is amazing, because I am terrible at it!).
So for any of you fantasy fiction buffs, that's where I'll be for the next few weeks!
Hey there ShadeZ and Porcupine! As you both seem pretty clued up, I'll skip the rules etc and just say welcome! Although, Porcupine, you'll need to do more reviews if you want to post anymore of your work again - the ratio is 3:1.
So, tell us a little about yourselves. Favourite music? Authour? Genre? Spots or stripes? Any pets? Where do you like to go on holiday?
And anything else worth telling!
If you need anything at all, feel free to PM me. My inbox is always open.
See you around! ~Amy
P.s. Why the name HomelessPorcupine. It's awesome, but ... why?

Heya guys! Glad to have you guys on board =D You'll love YWS.
I'm Kat, by the way. If you check the first post, by Snoink on the first page, you'll get all the rules and stuff, so my suggestion is that you check a thread called 'The Buddy System' on the Welcome Forum.
Have a good day, and PM me if you need anything! - Kat
