Welcome New Members! [2]

Hello everybody, obviously I'm new here and I was actually recommended here by my friend HomelessPorcupine(by the way, I know the reason behind the name but I'll let him tell you). I haven't really done anything yet, just perused through the site a bit, finding out a bit about how it works, that sort of thing.
Um, there's not much to tell about me except that I aspire to being a novelist, am in a IB English class so I can help out a lot with the reviews, and am kinda on the nice side so I'll tend to give you the lighter side of things in my reviews. I'm looking forward to reading whatever you guys got and what you have to say about my stuff.
(p.s. both Porc and I are a little sensitive with vulgar language so we would appreciate it if it was kept to a minimum, I've had some bad experiances with other sites like this one so I'm just taking a precaution and mean absolutely no offense by it)

Haha me and my friends like to make movies, and we made a short one about Bigfoot. I played the part of a crazy homeless guy that the two protagonists found in a swamp, and for reasons still unknown to all of us, they started calling him 'Porcupine'. Haha so that's the reason behind it! Here are a few things about me -

Favorite Author: James A. Michener (He is awesome!)

Favorite Book: Tie between The Covenant(Michener) and Give Me A Break(John Stossel)

Favorite Series of Books: Harry Potter! Woot!

Chicken or Roast Beef: Roast Beef

Favorite Music: 80's Soft Rock, though I am converting slowly to Classical Music

Names I go by: Austin, Flapjack, Tinman, Porcupine, ABC, Charlie

As you can probably tell, I'm new here and haven't really done anything yet, but I'm looking forward to being a part of YWS. I found this site just a couple of days ago, after forcing myself to sit down and finally write something, anything again, since I haven't done any actual work in months... Well, I realised that there is no excuse for not trying, whatever the situation, and now I feel like I will be able to go back to my old cheery self soon.
Umm, I think I have said enough. Oh, and if my grammar or anything I say feels off to you, please feel free to correct me, beacause English isn't my native language and sometimes I have trouble expressing myself.

I feel like such a newbie.

Well, anyway. Hi. I'm "lostinmymetaphor", but my real name is Katheryn and most people call me Kylie. That's what you can call me, I guess. My original statement: I love to write. Ha. (I'm normally more creative than that.) As everyone else has said before me, I'm psyched to be here on YWS. I'd really like some honest feedback about what I've been writing... and yeah.


Well, let's list some of my favorite things:

Music: Mainly rock and pop, I'm a HUGE Beatles fan (my mom got me hooked...), and I've got a weakness for Disney pop (you know, like the Jonas Brothers.). Call me a freak all you want, I don't care. (I get it a lot.)

Books: Currently, the Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz, but it's been known to change.

Author: Tamora Pierce. Best. Fantasy. Writer. Ever. (In my humble opinion.)


Those pretty much seem to be the reoccurring topics, so... I'll leave it at that.

So, I'm off to go critique some people so I can post my own work. I read the rules pretty carefully. (Feel free to tell me them again, I can get forgetful...)

Hello everybody... I'm new as you can probably tell. I'm from Texas and I'm a video game addict trying to get rid of my addiction (yes I have a problem and I admit it). I mainly write science fiction stuff, occasionally I'll get a really good vibe for a fantasy book. Sad to say it but I've never actually finished one of my books, usually I get frustrated with what I was writing and quit but I did have one good idea I was writing that I was going to finish even if I got frustrated with it. Then my computer ended up breaking and I lost all of it. Funniest part about it was it was probably a book that would have confused the heck outta pretty much anyone that read it besides the most knowledgeable Sci-fi geeks. It was a Time paradox book, and quite confusing.

But anyway, hi I'm SaberCrazy. So I guess begin the greetings and ask questions? (I have had a history of disappearing for awhile and then coming back, just FYI. lol)
