Oh yeah, and you probably have noticed that I didn't put personality in the profiles, but I was hoping that people could find out the character's personality through the writing.

Rain pattered on the roof overhead. Emily brushed away a tear as she set the phone down. Something was horribly wrong, and nobody was bothering to tell her what. Her parents disappeared and are nowhere to be found.
She grabbed her black sweatshirt and walked out the door into the rain. She needed answers, and the only place that she knew had answers was the police station. She ran block after block until she reached the police parking lot. She bolted inside only to find a gathering of kids all with the same expressions. Grief, and surprise.
I came into this world wrinkled and ugly. And no matter how much I accumulate here, it's a short journey. I will go out of this world wrinkled and ugly. So I enjoy life.
It had been weeks since my parents had not returned from their "cocktail party" and I was beginning to form horrid images in my head of what had happened. There was no word from them or message, but my babysitter kept reassuring me that everything was fine when I knew nothing in the world was right.
Looking for my own answers, I snuck away from my sitter with my trusty book bag. I knew there was a possibility I may never return, but I was brave enough to handle it. I was on a quest for answers and would not rest until I had them found.
Now I was in the one place I knew must have some reason to my parent's disappearance- the police station. The strange part was that I was in a room where everyone shared the same problem, were all around my age, and wanted their parents. A red-headed girl was the last to run in, stopping in her tracks at the odd sight. I had done the same, but quickly recovered. I was determined to start my mission.

Abigayle was lucky she got to the station first demanding a meeting with an officer, alone. "Why can't you just tell me?!" Abigayle yelled, the police officer sat back in her chair as Abi looked for something to throw.
"Sweetie, I already told you all we know. They are gone. Miss-ing." The officer said, drawing out the word.
She thinks I'm stupid, Abi thought, she doesn't think I can handle the truth. As she thought she looked around the small office. On the desk a golden name plate sat, black letters spelling out Officer Gylbert.
"Look, Officer Gylbert, I know what your doing so just tell me the truth. Where are my parents?" Keeping her eyes on the officer she reached for the name plate, and tossed it back and forth between her hands.
"I already told you, they are gone. Now you need to leave. I will make proper living arrangements as soon as I can. For now you will go back to you house, your house keeper will take care of you for the time being. Good bye." Officer Gylbert explained in an annoyed tone, taking the plate and ushering Abigayle to the door.
The door slammed behind Abi,around her stood other children they seemed almost as mad as she was, most arguing some just sitting silently. With tears threatening to fall down her cheeks she stomped towards the door of the Police Department. At a desk about ten feet from the door a boy with startlingly green eyes looked at her. As she looked at him a tear escaped her eye, wiping it away she ran to the car that waited for her outside.

The people down here are our zombies, who should be dead or not exist but do. ~Away From What We Started
We all made a horde around the police officer's desk, waiting impatiently for answers. I observed that all of us seemed to be carrying bags, but it was after school. I guess I shouldn't find that too weird...
"Please return to your homes. All your parents are missing, so we will contact you as soon as they are found." one of the police officers said. They started to gather around us, restrain us as if we were to break out into a riot. Maybe we were.
I was stuck in the middle of the crowd, trying to see over the many heads by standing on my toes.
"I'm not leaving until I know where my parents are!", one of the boys shouted. The officers quickly tried to usher us out in fear of an uproar. We started yelling in protest, but we were no match for the many police officers.
"Your baby-sitters are being contacted at the moment. They'll soon be here to escort you back to your homes." I looked out onto the lawn in front of the police station. There was a wood about one hundred yards away or so. I carefully began to plot my escape because I knew I wouldn't want to be here when Ms. Moore, my sitter, came to pick me up. There was no way I was returning to an empty house once again.
I slung my bag carefully around my shoulder and secured it with my fingers. Then I ran for it.

Once the girl had ran, all the other kids bolted too. Deep Within the woods, we finally stopped, all of us breathing heavily.
"Now what?" Emily asked. "We can't just sit here and wait to be caught."
The girl who ran first spoke. Pointing to a shack across a large pond. "Maybe we should make camp in there. It doesn't seem to have anyone in it."
The only problem was, that there was no way around the pond without being seen.
There was one question floating on everybody's mind.
"What should we do?"
I came into this world wrinkled and ugly. And no matter how much I accumulate here, it's a short journey. I will go out of this world wrinkled and ugly. So I enjoy life.
I looked around at our surroundings. There was a large pond that had green scum filling it's top. There was a sharpness in the air that we all seemed to feel. The anticipation was more than I could bare, so I decided just to run. I didn't run towards the shack, I ran away from the feet behind me. I could hear feet similar to mine following me, but I didn't stop to wait.
I felt like my parent's life was on the line and I was the only one to save them. I wasn't running for me, I was running to change everything.

It felt like world was coming to a end, or sort of. My parents were gone and these other kids' parents were gone too. It was very weird.
And now we were all running together, following the girl out in front. Then it hit me.
"Hey! Stop!"
Everyone stopped and looked at me. "What?" one of the girls asked.

Jake was hanging upside down from the bar on his bed, legs wrapped around to keep him from falling. His fingers trailed against the carpet, and his flushed face was twitching. It had been longer than Jake liked to think about since his parents had danced off to some 'cocktail party'. and no one was answering his questions. The more Jake thought about it, the more inconsistent the story seemed- his parents had never been to a fancy restaurant in their lives, much less a cocktail party.
His mind was made up, he was going for answers himself. The best, and also worst, place to look would be the police station. The best because it was their job- worst because they never took kids seriously. And so he ended up being jostled and elbowed in a wriggling crowd of kids who were all suspiciously alike and were all being corralled by some very frustrated Officers.
Despite himself, an overwhelming wave of hopelessness and curiosity overcame him- flooding his mind with endless questions to which no one would give an answer. But he waged war against the feelings until he heard someone standing behind him with their elbow in his ribs sob to themselves, "It's just a- just a cocktail party."
And then he knew something was up, and as they were herded onto the sidewalk he kept his ears open.
John stopped when the boy shouted " why are we stopping being chased remember cops stronger than us have cars battons that they hit people with battons that hurt" a few people nodded in agreament. "Wait," a boy said ," think about it everybody all are parents went to a cocktail party never came back we all have backpacks that look the same is not a tiny bit weird to you" the boy said John spoke "mate I think you've me watching that bit to much csi miam".
