Emily

Her muscles tensed as she watched her friends being taken hostage by the creatures. She wasn't going to stand for this.

"Comon," she whispered to Chase. They stalked across the waterline, being careful not to be seen.

"I'll distract those things while you get the kids out," Emily said. Chase was about to disagree when one of the creatures became hostile and started hitting Abi. They had to do it now.

"Go!" Emily told him. He raced back to the treeline, waiting for her to do something.

"Hey! Uglies! Over here! Comon you know you want to!" She jumped up and down, grabbing their attention. They dropped the kids and started racing toward Emily. Oops.. Forgot about that Emily thought. The monsters were a lot faster than they looked.

"Emily! RUN!!" Chase screamed.

Emily ran across the beach. She was a fast runner, but as fast as the creatures. They were gaining on her, fast.

Chase

Chase cursed under his breath. He knew it was bad; his parents always told him to watch his language.
His parents

He knew what he had to do. He was doing this for his parents. He couldn't disappoint them.

Chase ran over to the rest of the kids and started untying the ropes that held them to poles. "What are you doing? The monsters are going to get to Emily!" John yelled.
Chase cringed when John yelled that last part. "Don't worry. I got a plan."
He whispered into John's ear what he had. "That might work," John said.
"Exactly."

John ran over to the others and started untying them, while Chase ran back to Emily. The creatures were closing in on her.
"Hey! You ugly freaks!" The creatures turned around to Chase. "Yeah, I'm talking to you!"
The creatures started towards Chase now, furious. When the first one got close enough, Chase ran in between his legs and made his way towards Emily.

John was untying kid after kid some, like Abi were bleeding heavily "get over to the tree and find some heavy branches". John had untied all the others but a monster was close to Emily and Chase they hadn't noticed ."Hey ugly I'm free come get me". The creature ran like the wind it's fur billowing. As it approached, John took out the heavy book and held it up like a baseball bat when it got close John swung the book hitting the creature in the face and the creature fell to the floor another one came up behind him John waked him down too the book breaking in half. It sucked anyway John thought he looked for Chase and Emily they had gone round the corner the last of the group going round with them John started to walk over to the others when a shadow came over him John turned around a gud was standing their.John lifted up his book he looked at it and noticed it was in half "oh" John turned around and ran away from the group and to a rock beach it had huge rocks all over it. He jumped over a rock and landed on a bigger one and slided down it flat surface missing a punch by inches John landed on the soft sand underneath the rocks and crawled under popping above the rocks a few meters later he jumped and dived the giant monster followed it towered at 3 meters tall. John tried to run up a tall rock but the monster got their first and punched John. The punch knocked John back crashing in to every rock on his path cutting himself when he finally stopped there wasn't a part of him that didn't ache his bloody hand reached and grabbed a large piece of slate it was sharp as a sword's point. As the creature picked him up John hid the slate behind his back the creature held him up on a very high rock their six meters between him and ground " your dead" John said plunging the slate into the creatures neck and decapitating it as he was dropped he saw the monsters head rolling down the rock when he landed he broke his leg "help" he clutched his wounds which were bleeding.

Chase

"Something is wrong," Ellie said, pausing from treating Abi's wounds.

"What do you mean?" Chase asked, the only one standing up.

"The animals."

Abigayle

Ellie treated her wounds, the burn of the medicine stinging her arms, bringing tears to her eyes.
"Abi, stay still." Ellie warned as she moved to the large gash in Abi's side. Her shirt stuck to the gap where the creature's claws had dug into her side. She screamed in pain as Ellie treated it. Behind her a hand covered her mouth muffling her cry.
"Shhh! You'll bring them back." Kate whispered from behind her, removing her hand and turning to Chase. "What do you think those things were?" Looking from Chase back to the trees she waited for his answer.

*Thank you peanut!*

"I don't know." he replied. I looked down at Abigayle.

"Sorry." I said, releasing my hold on her mouth. "Just stay quiet." I was happy that her bleeding had stopped. Though I could still smell it, it wasn't nearly as bad as before. Then I finally caught the scent of something else.

"I'll be right back." I might as well make my one weakness useful. I pinched my nose, but could still smell the wreaking blood perfectly. Getting up from my spot carefully, I turned ad left. Though it was close to impossible to walk, but I managed. The pain was a reminder of what could happen to me out here.

A monster came from behind me, but I quickly deflected its blow by spinning around and holding up my arms in defensive position.. The creature was stupid to think it was in pain, letting me finish the job.

"Help." someone croaked from behind a rock. I quickly rushed over to see John clutching his leg and crying out. I could see the agonizing pain dance in his eyes as I looked at him for a brief moment. Behind me I knew there were more evil creatures, so I couldn't get Ellie. John was in such agony that I decided to help him myself.

I ripped off a piece of cloth from my jacket as I rushed over to his side. My head swam as I smelled the blood, so much of it. Quickly wrapping the cloth round his leg, I asked him,

"Does anything else hurt?" I could see sweat bead his forehead as he closed his eyes to keep from screaming. Maybe talking to him wasn't the best thing to do now.

The cloth was beginning to soak through, so I applied more pressure. The blood on my hands made my stomach churn, but I ignored it. I would have to soon get Ellie if he lost too much blood.

Emily

She turned to a scream. John and Kate were surrounded by the creatures, and John was lying on the ground, clutching his leg.

Emily shuttered. She hated monsters. Especially big, hairy ones. But she had to help them. She ran to the monsters, grabbing a branch and using it as a makeshift spear. She plunged it through the heart of two of them before remembering there was a fourth. It grabbed her from behind and used its razor like claws to rake a hole in her side.

Pain exploded in Emily's eyes. The monster behind her suddenly went slack and fell to the ground. She looked around to see Chase and Kate, concern on both of their faces. Kate's face was extremely white.

"You okay?" Kate rasped. Emily shook her head and indicated the pool of blood growing every minute. Kate's face grew ashen.

Chase

This was getting too far out of hand

Chase thoughts swarmed around as the monster hit Emily, but then went slack. Kate was swaying dangerously in front of him.
Too many are hurt

Kate fell to the ground, unconscious. John was over behind a rock, bleeding badly. Ellie was back with the others treating Abi's wounds.

Chase ran over to Emily. "Are you okay?" he whispered, kneeling down besides her.

"What type of question is that?" she said, so softly that Chase could barely hear her.

I sighed. This was a new experience. I pushed a button and they all were withdrawn. They looked up at me gratefully. Most of them had heavily bleeding wounds. Chase was waiting anxiously for me to begin. Abi was hurt badly and she watched, almost jealously, as I tended the wounds. "That was quite terrible." I told them. "Although I don't blame you. I failed my first try also." I remembered my friend and I and it brought tears in my eyes to think about it. "All of you guys need to lay down. You can come upstairs now and relax." I brought them upstairs and the light from my house nearly blinded me. My basement relied on one naked light bulb to supply it's light. My upper floor however was filled with windows. Outside was my superficially green garden. I had hosted so many meetings with the families of these children. I remembered them little. They still did possess some of that childish innocence as before, and I loved it. "My house is protected by many security systems. They are nearly impossible to break. Relax." I lied them down on an assortment of couched, lay-z-boys, and chairs. Upon contact they were asleep. I sat down to watch them but my eyes closed eventually as well.

I awoke to the sound of beeping. "Oh god! Why does this have to happen now," I muttered. My security system was being breached. The children were recovered but I had no idea how they could react to a situation like this. We had only made it to half the levels. They needed way more training than this. I ran around shaking people awake. The traitors had to be desperate. They successfully breached my security and now we had no where to run. Helicopters buzzed in the distance and armored cars drove up onto my driveway. They had us surrounded. A cloaked figure walked in. She was made taller by her stilettos. "Give up Mel. Your fight is over." she told me. I recognized the cold, cruel voice. I pondered our situation. Nothing is impossible, and I knew it. As I thought, armed men and women stormed my house.

Chase raced over to Emily's side, but not before taking down a monster on his way over. He seemed to be exploding with anger and took it all out on the creature.

I hurried over to Emily, as well. She was bleeding profusely, so I handed Chase my jacket to wrap around the ghastly wound. This was not a playful fight anymore. We were in a serious battle where our friends were falling.

Chase whispered reassurance as Emily grimaced in pain. It looked like she couldn't even cry out and my hands fluttered helplessly before her face but there was nothing I could do. Chase had the same expression I had only more painful. He looked like he was being burned alive.

I watched the sad scene, but realized I could not help here. I was so dizzy that I began to sway, so I limped over to John to help him.

His bleeding had stopped and he seemed to be resting. I carefully removed my cloth to inspect his injury. The wound was deep, but didn't expose bone, although I was certain it was broken. He was going to be fine, so I carefully moved him out of the way so no monsters would get him and made my way towards where Ellie was.

"We need you, Ellie. Emily is hurt... badly." I didn't want to alarm them by telling them how bad. I took her spot by Abi who looked to be resting as well. Ellie read the expression on my face and nodded, running into the battle.

Chase

"Ow..." Emily wimpered. It hurted not only her, but everyone in the room. They couldn't bear to see anyone hurt that badly.
