Nick

I saw the pain in her eyes. She was remembering something horrible...probably when she was changed. I nodded.

"My transformation was pretty bad, as well," I told her solemnly. "Don't feel too bad."



**Is it me or is this thing really, really slow? We need some action!**

Anney

I nodded.

"The man who changed me was my beloved. We were to be married..." I stopped. Nothing more really needed to be said. No gruesome details worth sharing. "After that, I moved. I never stayed in one place long enough to become attached to anyone again, just to be on the safe side."

**I agree Ayumi. Something needs to happen soon**

Nick

I stared at her. Her story was the same...well, generally. For I had done the same. I had unintentionally killed my dear Isabelle the night of my transformation!

I smiled as I laid down a ten dollar bill. It would cover both of our drinks and leave a generous tip to the waitress.

"Let's go for a walk," I said as I stood. "I want to get to know you better."

Anney

He offered me his arm in the fashion that would have been acceptable during our time. Smiling slightly, I took it.

"Was it intentional?" he asked after a moment, referring to my change.

"Yes. He had no intention of living with me if I wasn't changed. I put up quite a fight though -- I doubt he's forgotten that." I nodded slowly. Nick chuckled at this.

"Where is he now?"

"Probably still back in France," I replied, smiling. I noticed a strange look in his eyes, something I couldn't place. "What are you thinking?

Nick

I sighed. "Have you even gotten the feeling that...there has to be a reason why vampires exist, why we are here? What purpose do we have? What will we do now that we have forever?"

She considered that. "That's a very good question, but there has to be something. Live, laugh, love, enjoy the time we have, even though we may get bored of our immortality."

I nodded, accepting that. This girl...she was so optimistic about things. She would be a good influence on me. I stopped for a moment and just looked at her.

"What?" she asked, staring up at me.

"Thank you," was all I had to say. I knew she would understand what I meant: thank you for saving my life and showing me how to live.

Anney

I smiled, looking down at my feet and blushing slightly.

"You're welcome," I nodded, still looking to the ground.

Nick

I pulled my arm free of hers and put my palm against her cheek, fingertips brushing her jawline. I eased her face back up, leveling her eyes with mine.

"Anney," I spoke softly, "I have one question."

"Yes?" She was beginning to tremble.

"Can I kiss you?"


**About time we got SOMETHING happening! I almost lost interest in this! Now, to introduce a crisis of some sort...hmm...**

Tristian:

"I'm not going to get hurt, and I"m not going to let you get hurt." Tristian said holding her close. It felt so right, he just didn't want to let her go.

"But!"

"Come on, lets get out of here." He said softly.


Kyle:

**Head/desk. I'm so bad with things like big incidents. And I've got writer's block, for teh most part**

Anney

I smiled up at Nick, still trembling slightly. Cursed nerves...

Reaching up, I put my palm lightly against his cheek.

"Yes," I whispered lightly just before his lips touched mine.

Nick

What am I doing? was all could say as I kissed her. Passionately. I barely know the girl, yet I'm kissing her! But...she is just like Isabelle...but she's Anney.

I exhaled when we parted, and I wanted more. I wanted us to be more. Yet the sun was rising.

"We need to head home," I said forlornly, face still near hers. "See you tomorrow, same place?"




**I JUST GOT A BRILLIANT IDEA!!!**

Anney

As he pulled back, I angled my eyes down nervously. I wanted to stay with him, but he suggested it was time we headed home.

If he knew where I lived he wouldn't have suggested it.

I nodded.

"Yes, same place," I agreed, turning to leave.

**WHAT IS IT AYUMI???**

***Hmmm...Werewolf invasion, Anney gets kidnapped, and Nick has to save her...I don't know...now that I think about it, it sounds kinda lame...**

**Kinda lame...but lame is fun! ^.^ Although...then we'd need a reason for the werewolves to capture her...

what about vampires? Perhaps the vampire the originally changed her? He's mad because she up and left him after being changed...?**

**That works better. We'll figure something out.**

Nick

Back at my house, I fell back onto the bed and stared at the ceiling. Wow. What a night. First I had tried to kill myself, again, then I met Anney, went to a little restraunt with her, talked to her, got to know her, and then I kissed her!

What the hell had gotten into me?

I turned my gaze to the picture on my nightstand. Isabelle smiled back. I sighed as I saw a new face in the image: Anney.

"Isabelle..." I whispered, "are you really in Anney, trying to make me fall in love again? Are you watching over me and keeping me safe, even though I don't deserve it?"

Somehow I knew the answer to be "yes" even though no one even said it. I just felt it.
