"Very much so." He smiled as he finished the last dish. He pulled her close and kissed her. "What do you want to do tonight, you didn't really get to watch teh stars last night."
We climbed up onto the top of the trailer and just stared at the sky. I felt all but swallowed up next to him, but more importantly I felt safe. I felt as though nothing could touch us here, not with Kaleb around.
We were out there for three hours simply staring at the sky before I started to drift off to sleep. I was almost completely asleep when I heard the horn of an oversized Jeep a couple cars down.
I was awake now. I glanced at my watch, three in the morning? Maybe I had fallen asleep. Next to me Kaleb chuckled. "Sleep well?"
That confirmed my suspisions. "Until about two minutes ago."
"Good." He smile dkissing the top of her head. He pulled her close and sighed. "I could get used to this." A soft chuckle left her lips and he sighed. "I will never let this end."
"Yup, then we'll stay two maybe three days, unless you want to stay longer, then head out to the west. Away from our problems and familys." He smiled. "Where do youw ant to eat lunch, love?"
We stopped the truck and took a moment to plug everything in and turn it all on. "I'll keep driving," he assured me. "Let me know when you're done."
"Okay."
I'd never cooked when the kitchen was moving before. I dropped the utincels a couple of times, but none of the food surprisingly. Kaleb was an ecclent driver and made an effort to keep it steady for me. I fried up the chicken and baked the french fries with strange ease. Not the healthiest of meals to be sure, but it was sure tasty enough for us.
When I finished I crawled up into the bedroom part and knocked on the back window of the truck before I opened it. "Hey, lunch's ready."
He sniffed the air, "you brought the smell with you."
Kaleb fround a rest area to pull over at then got out of the truck and went to the camper. When he opened the door the smell made hsi stomach growel.
"If it tastes as good as it smells it will be fit for a king." He smiled looking at the chicken. He sat down at the table and they started eating. "Wow! It's excellant." he grinned. "Best I've ever had."
"Stop teh lying and finish eating." Syb laughed.
"I'm not lying, but I will finish eating." he grinned back.
After we finished eating we got back in the cab of the truck and continued driving. We made better time than we had thought we would. We made it to the last campsite for a hundred miles an hour before we had planned on it.
While we drove in I noticed a small clear pond just a little ways walk away from where we parked.
