Ryder:
Ryder and Colt worked for what seemed like forever on the house, but it was slowly coming together. They were both sporting nice tans now too. The six of them had fallen into a routine where the girls would fish for food or scavange to find anything washed up by the waves from the accedent while they gathered logs and stones for the house. After they had gotten up the walls and started on the roof the girls and little ones would fill in the cracks of the wood with thick mud that they had found. It hardened well and when it got wet it stayed hard as a rock. When they finally got the roof done it had been almost two weeks sense the crash. No one else had showed up, but Ryder wouldn't have been surprised if there was another survivers camp somewhere else on the island.
"Alright, how are we going to do this fire place?" Colt asked looking up at the hole in the roof they had left.
"We have enough stones, so just one stone at a time, we'll make it really wide so it will put off a lot of heat and just take it all the way up and out of the hut a bit then put a cover over it that will let the smoke out, but won't let water in it. We can seal off the any remander holes with that mud. We have plenty left." He smiled.
Dusty:
Dusty listened to the guys conversation as she helped weave together some bedding with the long grass they had found. She didn't like the thought of them up on the high roof and now the thought of the two of them climbign up the chimney to put stone after stone on scared her. She dind't want them to get hrut. Especially Colt, she really did love him and could care less if they were ever found out here. It was nice and peaceful.
