"I was a student, and I worked with horses whenever I could. How about you?" Dusty asked as she started building a cover for the fire so that the rains wouldn't put it out.

Ryder:

"Good idea." Ryder smiled. "Dusty came up with one too. She's covering the fire. I should've thought of that."

*grrr*

Is it ok if I join, because here at the end, there are only the two of you doing this. I could do Kelly's and Paul's point of views.

Hmmm, wouldn't work to do both. We could probably pull another couple in. I could play another person without trouble. Let me see what Sing thinks about it. Sometimes bringing in another person doesn't work. We'll see. But if so we can make another older couple or teen couple. Up to you if you would want two people. Cause I can easily do three-four on this one.

Well, I could just do Kelly. I get what you mean though. It justs seems like you need some help here, and I'll be glad too.

Send a pm to the other girl writing this. . Ask her, I'm fine with it as long as you keep up and your fine with us writing as much as we can when she is on. Shouldn't be that hard to keep up.

Hey...what have I missed. I won't be on next week, that is if I don't get to go to my aunt for thanksgiving....but we have thanksgiving break. Anywho....So where we're we in teh story?

Dusty:

***That's my last post. Dusty and Mary Anne are talking about their home life while the guys are working on fixing the roof of the huts that are there.***

MAry anne:

"Well, Back at home, I'm an environmentalist. I help organize research parties and help und porjects for kids and teh environment. I alos own a horse ranch, which I miss terribly. Who knows, maybe we'll find a wild horse?" She sighed, remebering her mustang, Flicka.



Colt:

They finally finished putting the roofs on around dusk. Colts stomach rumbled, making Ryder look up at him.

"Guess it's time to call it a day, huh?" Ryder's stomach answered for him.

Colt laughed.

Ryder:

They walked towards the fire as the rain exploded out of the sky making them run the rest of the way to where the food was. The girls met them with steaming hot bowls of fish meat.

"We need to see what other foods we can find and use." Ryder said putting some of the meat in his mouth.

Dusty:

"There has to be some sort of vegitation out here we can eat, right?" She asked.

"Someone on the ship was a gardener of sorts and had this huge case of seeds. It was water proof too. Maybe it'll wash up." Colt replied smiling hopefully. "We should go looking for clothes and everything tomorrow. See what we can scavenge up. I'd say the girls go and we work on the house, but that wouldn't be smart sense we don't know what is out there."

Colt:

Dusty looked at him, awe in her eyes.


Mary anne:

Well, we'll look for the clothes and food, while ya'll look for more logs and stuff, that way we'l still be together."

Dusty suddenly perked up. "What about the kids?"

"They can help look wiht you two." Ryder said.

Dusty:

Dusty nodded, "Alright, let's just hope this rain stops by tomorrow." She sighed running a hand through her hair. "Um, also, what are we going to do about wasing our hair and stuff?" She blushed at her question, but she truely wanted to know.


Ryder:

"Well, back in the 1800's they made soap out of lard and if we can get our hands on a wild pig or something we might be able to figure out how they made it." He shrugged. "I'm not sure, maybe we'll get lucky and find some."

Kelly:

Kelly made a face as she listened to Ryder. "Ugh," she retorted. "A pig? Gross!"
Everyone laughed, and Ryder pulled her to his lap. "Yep."

*sorry. That's all I have*

Ryder:

"Course it might be gross to look at but there are several uses for it. We can eat some of the meat, use the lard for soap, the skin to hold water, and the teeth to poke holes to make clothes if we can find something to make it out of." He replied smiling.

"Sweet!" Paul smiled. "That's awesome!"

Ryder laughed at his enjoyment of hte facts as he finished his food then washed it off in the stream that ran right next to the tent.

"Colt, do you think the streams gonna flood, we put this up on a hill, but I don't want our fire getting washed out. I think the hut will stay, but the fire wouldn't if it does."

"I'm not sure, it doesn't look like it would." He said looking around. Down where it isn't hte hill it looks like it does, but it doesn't up here."

"We'll find somewhere else to set up a fire just in case, I don't want ot lose it." He sighed shrugging.

Kelly:

Kelly sighed as she listened to the adults talk about what they are going to do. She stood up and walked next to Mary Anne. She sat down and snuggled close to her.
"I'm tired now," she said, her eyes drooping. Mary Anne smiled, and put her arm around her.

Mary anne put her arm arougn Kellys shouder, allowing her to snuggle closer. She looked up to see Ryder lookgin at her. She smiled. He smield back, pushing a log into place. Teh house was nearly done.
