His wand shook in his hand. He had just killed someone. In front of everyone. He, a gryffindor, had commited murder at hogwarts.

It didn't take long for professor mcgonigal (spelling?) to show up. All she found was a dead student.

Sedry flew as fast as he could into the air. He couldn't go back. He would be sent to azkaban. He had ruined everything. He should have killed Garret before.

He talked of death so casually. Maybe he should go to azkaban.

He noticed a wizard in blue ministry robes following after him. Without thought, he doubled his speed, and began a race for his life.

Alice and Calder stood frozen in front of professor McGonagal.

"How did this happen?" she demanded.

"It...it was sort of an accident," Alice said immeaditly. "Garret was attacking Sedry and I guess Sedry just lost control."

"Stunning a student is hardly a loss of control."

Alice took a moment of silent wow, had she said stunned? "Did you just say stunned?"

"Yes i did."

Sedry didn't kill anybody! she thought with glee, he didn't have it in him to kill anybody! Fate granted him his wish.
I just lost the game.

Sedry tried to take off, but the ministry man was right beside him.

"You have uttered the "avada cadavra" curse and failed in the attempt. Do you plead guilty to this?"

failed? he thought. sightly stunned, he nodded dumbly.

The ministry man flicked his wand and a light purple stream shot out. "You have no choice but to follow me back to the scene of the alleged curse usage."

whether he willed it or not, Sedry swirled around on his broom, and began his journey back to his terrible mistake.

I laid down on my bed and cried. I don't know for how long, but after everyone was gone there was a knock on the door. I got up and walked over. It was the headmaster. (not really sure who it is)

"Yes?" I asked quietly.

"We need you to come down." I followed downstairs and Alice, Calder, Kate, and Sarabella were there. Someone walked in. It was...Sedry! He walked in with one of the people on the ministry. Garret was still on the ground.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Someone used an unforgiveable curse right here. It didn't work because that student didn't have it in him to kill. But we want to know why this happened. The student who was a victim to this crime will soon be brought to St. Mungo's and will probably have a year's worth of memory loss. And someone might have to go to Azkaban for this." He looked at Sedry.

"It wasn't his fault!" I shouted, stepping up.

"He is the one that used the spell."

"But I told him to. I wanted Garret dead. I didn't care. It's my fault. Don't take Sedry, because he was only caring about me and doing as I asked. It's my fault."

"It's not her fault either," I exclaimed, a memory suddenly flickering into my mind. "Please, you have to listen to me before I..." What was I going to say? Not again! But wait... I know I wanted to say something so that's a start at least...

"Before you what?" The head teacher prompted.

"Before I forget," I sighed. The head teacher frowned at him and suddenly I beamed.

"Oh. I remember now. You can't keep us here..." I decided in a cheery tone.

"Why not?" The head teacher prompted.

"Because we have to go to Hogmede and get outfits for the dance tonight," I trilled happily.

"This is no matter to joke about girl," The head teacher warned.

"It wasn't a joke," Sara added, trying to go along with Kate's cheery facade. "We have to go get our outfits."

"If you truly commited this act, you won't be going to the dance," Professor McGonagall argued sternly.

"But...but..." Kate stammered.

"It wasn't the unforgivable curse!" Alice exclaimed suddenly. Professor McGonagall gave her a quizzical look.

"She's right!" Sara added. "Aveda Kedarva is a different type of stunning spell, something we made up. It just sounds like an unforgivable curse. And Garrett isn't seriously injured, so we didn't do anything wrong." Professor McGonagall considered this.

"And expelling all of us would put a damper in the good students in this school, wouldn't it?" Kate added cheerily.

"Well..." Professor McGonagall began. "Since it wasn't an unforgivable curse...I guess you're free to go."

I looked at Sara in shock.

"You might want to get dressed Linds, we need to get going." Sara said, smiling.

"She's right Miss. Allen. Please go get dressed and leave with your friends."

"Er...yeah...sure..." I walked back up stairs and got dressed. When I came back down it was just my friends left. I walked over to Sara, Alice, and Kate. I gave them all a huge hug. "You guys are the best." I said quietly. Everyone started to walk out and Sedry walked out right before me, but I pulled him back.

"Do you hate me?" I asked him.

"What?"

"Do you hate me?"

"Why would I hate you?"

"Because I almost made you kill someone."

"But he's ok. It's alright."

"Well. Then. Do you hate me?"

I wanted to cry in frustration but finally I was starting to get a hold on the situation. As long as I didn't try to tell anyone about Adam, my memories remained secure and I didn't start babbling about stupid dances and the like that I probably wouldn't even attend because I had nothing to wear and no one to go with.

"Sara..." I hesitated.

"Yeah?" She asked, turning to me.

"What would you do if you needed to tell someone something but couldn't?" I asked.

"Is this about boys?" Alice wondered.

"No. It's..." And of course I'd forgotten again but now I knew it was essential to remember and to not say something foolish. "It's much more important than that but I can't tell you."

Alice and Calder walked ahead, letting everyone else chat behind them. They didn't really talk much, but just walked and held hands. When they got out of the Hogwarts grounds and into Hogsmeade though, she couldn't stop talking. Eventually she dragged Lindsay and Sara off to get a dress for the dance-she had changed her mind about the last one-leaving Calder and Sedry alone with Kate.
I just lost the game.

"Aren't you going to get a dress?" Calder asked me. I turned my blue eyes on him and sighed.

"No. I don't think I'll go," I replied.

"Not go?" Sedry asked. "But you sounded so excited earlier.

"I know," I replied. "But it's not so exciting when you're on your own."

"Someone's sure to ask you if you dress nice," Calder objected.

"If they were going to ask me they would have done already. Besides, do I look pretty to you?" I laughed lightly as both boys blushed. "And anyway, aren't you two going to buy suits? The girls would be so happy and I can help you pick."

*just a quick conversation before Sedry is left with calder and Kate*

Sedry rolled his eyes. "Lindsay, what have I told you?"

"I..."

Sedry groaned, and kissed her with such passion that she was lifted off her feet.

"I told you..." he whispered softly in her ear. "There is no way I could hate you. I love you too much to hate you for anything."

Alice came skipping over, and grabbed Lindsay by the arm. "Lindsay, come on! it's dress time!"

Sedry smiled sweetly. "Have fun, sweet girl."

Jesse walked out of the tailor shop in Hogsmeade with a smile on his face. He was excited about the dance. The suit he ordered would be ready for him in the next hour. He walked into the flower shop and bought a bunch of different flowers. His mother taught him ikibana. He arranged the flowers into a work of art. That took him 15 minutes. He wrapped the flowers in brightly colored paper and walked out of the store. He had spent 250 Galleons so far. He then wandered into the tavern and sat down at a table. He ordered a butterbeer and sat there with huge grin on his face.

Sedry and Calder chose their suits quickly and then decided to make a visit to a tavern.

"You coming, Kate?" Sedry asked. I hesitated.

"Actually... I think I'm going to take a look at the dresses." I smiled sheepishly and then hurried towards the shop. They were all so beautiful that I couldn't resist trying a few on and then, of course, I gave in and decided to buy one. I can at least try to look nice, I decided as I handed the coins over and received the bag in return.

Jesse sipped the last of his butterbeer. He stood up and walked over to the counter and gave the bottle back to the owner. He then walked to the door and opened it just as Sedry and Calder walked in.
"Hey Jesse. You going to the dance tonight?" Sedry asked him.
"Yeah. And I'm going to ask someone," Jesse replied.
"Oh yeah? That's great! Who is it?"
"It's a secret."

Alice, Sara, and I found a store that looked nice and went in. I really wasn't looking for anything, I was too tired to do anything.

"Come on Linds, you got to get something." Sara said. "How about this one?" She held up a green and black dress. I shook my head.

"I'm sick of those colors." I said and walked around a bit. I saw a dress that I swear, it was perfect. "Hey guys, come here!" I ran to try it on and showed Sara and Alice. I was a really light weight, dark crimson, dress. I'm not sure what it was made out of, but it had gold thread in places making designs and a gold shawl. It fit perfectly.

"I think I have some gold earings to match too." I smiled.

"Linds...you know what colors that is right?" Sara asked me. I looked and then realized what she was talking about. But it was too perfect to give up.

"Oh big deal. No one will notice." I ran over to buy it. We decided to go find Kate and the guys. As we walked out we saw Kate.

"Kate! Over here!" I called. She walked over. "You bought a dress? That's great." I said, in an entirely better mood. "Where are the guys?" I asked.

"Oh, at the tavern." She said.

"Well come on, let's go." Alice said. We got there and Sedry and Calder were talking to Jesse.
