"Without you, I was." Sedry whispered soothingly. He wrapped his arms around her with what little energy he had. He kissed her softly on the forehead.

"Garret it really out to get you." Alice said. "He's the one who caused this whole thing."

Sedry and Lindsay ignored them. They were off in their own little world, together.

Alice shrugged, and pulled out her wand. "Let's leave them. We have an annoying boy named Garret to take care of."

Calder grinned, pulling out his own. "Of course."

Adam tiptoed quietly up to the Hufflepuff dorms, potion in hand. The Common room was rather empty and his fellow classmates were already in bed. He took out a jug of icy pumpkin juice and poured some of the Babbling Beverage into it.

It would be a while before any of them woke up and drank some, but it would be worth it to see them make fools of themselves.

Adam peered out of his window and saw a number of figures walking around on the dark grounds.

Use stupefy, came the odd little voice in his head, cast stupefy on them all, show them they're not safe.

Adam pulled his wand from the top of his bed and aimed out of the window. Could he really hit anyone from so far up?

"Stupefy, he muttered. A jet of red light burst from the tip of his wand, it sailed acorss the grounds, stricking a single darkened form. It merely fell forward, as if it had already been sitting on the ground.

Calder and Alice walked slowly up to the castle."So, you have any ideas of what to do to Garret?"

Alice grinned evily."Oh, i think ive got a few."

Calder almost cringed back from this flash of Alices evil moment. One things for sure, no body should ever want to be on Alices bad side, unless, of course, they have an undying death wish.

Calder lifted up one eyebrow."Oh yeah, what kind of ideas?" he said

"Oh, you'll know them when you see 'em."

Now Calder lifted his other eyebrow."Uh oh, i dont want to get in the crossfires of this fight, now thats for sure." he said staring at her in the eyes.

Kate

I watched as Adam poured the potion into a jug and then he approached the window. I followed his gaze to the shadowy figures traversing the grounds.

"Stupefy," Adam murmured and one figure collapsed.

"Expelliarmus!" I shouted for the second time that day. The second year jumped as his wand was torn from his hand and flew towards me. I grabbed it from the air and hurriedly knocked the jar to the floor.

"What's going on with you, Adam? I don't know what was in that potion but I have a feeling that it wasn't harmless and where did you learn how to aim like that?"

Alice smiled her usual sweet smile at him, "don't worry, my aim's better than that, just don't step in front of one of my spells." She gave him a quick kiss and turned back just in time to see a flash of red light hit her. She was knocked back a few feet onto the ground.

Jesse was lying on his bed in the boys dormitory. He was too excited about Hogsmeade and the dance to sleep. He was seeing some strange lights that night but thought it was some kids playing with their wands to see different colors. He was unaware of what happed to Sedry and the group. He fell asleep at last to the wind blowing through the window.

Garret came into the clearing."Thats what happens to the little girls when they get in my way."he said, looking infuriated.

A light grew in Calders eyes as he comprehended what had just happened. He turned to Garret, threw down his wand, and tackled Garret to the floor. On the impact, Garret lost his hold on his wand, and it went flying in an arc, away from the little brawl.


"Dont..You..Ever..Hurt..Any..Of..My..Friends..Again!!" Calder yelled, punching Garret between every word. Garret was not aware of the fight coming, so Calder had the upper hand for a moment, but lost it as he took hold of the situation. He punched Calder hard in the stomach, and Calder fell off of him, out of air.

It looked as if Garret would win as he came to Calder from behind, while he was down, but from a few muttered words from beside them, Garret was blasted back, hit a wall, and lay unconcies(?).

Alice gripped her wand with a shaking hand, silently thanking God that she hadn't missed and hit Calder. She hadn't managed to stand yet, and she didn't think she could. Her hand collapsed back to the ground and she still shook violently. She was in pain, excrutiating pain.

"God that hurt," she moaned and fought to put herself in a sitting position, Calder helpped her.

"What'd you hit him with?"

"Stunning spell."

Calder whistled.

"We should erease his memory?"

"Of just tonight or-?"

"Everything, just wipe it all out."

"Or we could kill him." I had told Serdy that my leg hurt and I wanted to head back to the castle to get it fixed up, but I really just wanted to see what happened. I was standing behind Alice and Calder and they jumped. Sedry looked at me with shock.

"We don't have to use the killing curse, we could just throw him in the lake while he's unconcious and let him drown." I said. I was really serious.

"Are you mad, Lindsay? You want to go to Azkaban?!" Alice shouted at me.

"He should already be in there. He's tried to kill you, Alice. He was seconds away from killing Sedry! You think he deserves to live after that?!" I was screaming now, I truely believed he had to die.

"But Linds...you wanna be a murderer? Don't sink down to his level." Clader said.

"He has no level." I said. "He has to die."

Sedry at first went against Lindsay, but then he remembered that crushing pain in his chest... the terrified look in Lindsay's eyes... the chaos and destruction caused by this one student.

"I will take care of him." Sedry stepped up, scooping up Garret and laying him over his shoulder.

"Are you mad!?" Calder screamed. "This isn't normal, it shouldn't happen this way-."

Sedry shook his head. "It has to happen this way. He deserves only this. accio firebolt!"

his broom shot over to him, and he lifted off with Garret in tow, leaving the stunned group behind.

garret groaned, rolling on the sandy ground beneath him. Sandy? He sat up, startled but the change of enviroment. He laid upon a deserted sanded area, stretching on as far as the eye could manage, except to the sides of him. Water stretched to the west, splashing onward. To the east laid a small alcove of trees, vegetated and well grown. A place to live in solitude.

He reached for his wand, hoping to apperate from the place, and get back to finishing off Sedry. All he found was one half of it, left to him, as well as a clear orb glowing with his name. As soon as he touched it, it lit up, showing the face of his greatest enemy, Sedry. His face was stern and unyielding.

"Garret," it started. It was his voice. "By the time you are hearing this, I will be long gone. You are alone now. Your wand is destroyed. That half proves it. There is no other civilization for three hundred miles. You are going to stay here, and live out your life, alone, and no way out. Be happy. Against the wishes of everyone else, I spared your miserable life. However, if I do see you again, I will kill you."

The sphere exploded. Garret sat back on the ground, in shock. Spared by his enemy. He grinned evilly. That was his biggest mistake. He looked around. That is, if he can get out of here...

Alice and Calder sat on the couch, Alice about to fall asleep, but intent on staying there until Sedry returned. It was just after Calder promised to wake her up when Sedry got back that he returned. Lindsay was the first one to get to him, and Alice and Calder waited their turn on the couch.

After Sedry went to bed-throughly more tired than anyone else-Lindsay went back to the Slytherin common room Alice and Calder remained on the couch. Alice's limbs refused to move, but being in Calder's arms felt so perfect that she wasn't trying too hard either.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Calder asked for the billionth time.

"I'm fine," she answered for the billionth time as well. "I just have to make my limbs move so I can go to bed."

"Your limbs aren't moving?"

"I'm not trying too hard either," she added to make him worry less. "My only motivation is sleep, and I'm perfectly content with sleeping right here."

Adam giggled, the voice was telling him exactly what to do. Wandless magic wasn't very powerful, but it was enough to accomplish his goal.

"Kate, how did you get in here? Oh wait, you've been following me. I remeber now, You just followed very closely." The other boys were starting to stir, "You know, it's funny how being a Slytherin will automatically make them turn on you."

Wingardum Leviosa He made the smallest amount of liquid rise from the floor, unnoticed by Kate.

"What is wrong with you? I thought you were our friend?" She still held her wand ready, not realizing Babbling Beverage was sliding into her stomach.

All of a sudden, I couldn't think straight. No. That wasn't the problem. I couldn't talk straight. My mind was as clear as ever and I stared at Adam in shock as nonsense spilled from my lips. Adam reached across to take his wand from my hand but I backed away.

"And there was this time when my family and I were at the beach. That was lots of fun. Oh, did I tell you I want a kitty? I love kitties..."

"Give me the wand, Kate," Adam insisted. I shook my head roughly and tried to clamp my mouth shut. Then the other hufflepuffs came down the stairs.

"The slytherin has my wand!" Adam called out and suddenly I was facing a room full of armed students and speaking about flowers.

"Oh yes, Dahlia's are my favourite but Roses can be very pretty too. Which do you like?"

Sedry was restless that night. He couldn't seem to get Lindsay out of his head. Though depriving him of a good nights rest, he dubbed this a good thing and let his mind wander through the night until the tips of the sun smothered his face.

He wandered out into the common room, seeing Alice and Calder snuggled up close on the couch. An almost-love, he could call it. It was getting close for them. His thoughts fell to Lindsay again. His heart skipped a beat every time.

Slipping out into the hallway, he wandered down the corridors of Hogwarts until suddenly he found himself standing by the Syltherin common room. Now what had led him here? His urge to see Lindsay already?

Well whether he had a choice on going in or not was decided for him. A wand prickled the back of his neck.

"Didn't take long for me to get back." Garret whispered with utter hatred.

I couldn't be in a better mood. Garret was dead and out of my life and Sedry was ok. Once I got back to the common room, I fell asleep easily, but I woke up pretty early. I heard voices and wondered who could be up this early. I pulled on a green and black robe over my white tank top and pink bottoms. I walked down the stairs and recognized the voices instantly. At first a smile came to my face but then I felt like throwing up.

"I'm dreaming." I breathed to myself. "Yeah, that's it." I snuck around to the door and saw that face. Garret had his wand pointed at Sedry. Garret looked horrible, but he was smiling. Not a good thing I knew this had to be dream. Sedry killed him. He told me so. I held my breathe and stood there, watching and waiting for what was going to happen. Scared as hell...again.
