Alice heard a bunch of screams, she rushed to the window. She gasped, turned, grabbed Calder's hand, and started running.

"Alice what is it?" Calder said as he followed.

"Sedry's attacking Lindsay!"

Calder's pace picked up the pace, "why would he be attacking her?"

Alice shrugged, now struggeling to keep up. They leaped down flights of stairs used walls to propel themselves around corners, and eventually made it to the great hall.

Garret was guarding the door.

"Garret!" Alice shouted, "move!"

He looked at her as if she was insane.

Alice didn't hesitate, "stupefy!" Garret flew back against the door, unconcious. "Leviate" he started levitating with them. "Oh screw this," she muttered half-way to his hut and threw him against a tree.

They were within site now and Alice screamed, "SEDRY!!! STOP IT YOU"RE HURTING HER!!!!"

"Crucio!" Sedry's lips moved and the sound issued from his mouth but I could barely believe the word that those lips had formed. Lindsay began to scream in agony as she writhed on the floor.

"Stupefy!" Jesse shouted but Sedry ducked the flash of light.

"Expelliarmus!" I added in desperation. "Stupefy!" But each spell missed by a fraction of an inch.

"Sedry! Stop it, you're hurting her!" A familiar voice shouted as Alice and Calder raced towards us. Sedry did not even look up but Lindsay's screams faded to a dull sob as Jesse and me launched ourselves at Sedry and broke his concentration. Alice and Calder joined us until we had Sedry firmly held down and, as an extra precaution, I once more relieved him of his wand.

"Lindsay," He muttered. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I..." He hung his head in shame and bit fiercely upon his upper lip. Slowly we released him and Hagrid stumbled into view.

"It's alright, Kate. You can give him his wand back now," Hagrid grunted. I held it out but Sedry shook his head.

"No. You keep it. I don't want it back!"

Alice held out her hand and took the wand, he'd regret if he broke it in about a week. She handed it to Calder who tucked it into his pocket. Together they pulled him to his feet.

She could tell that an akward pause was going to continue so she didn't relinquish her grip on his arm. With an unspoken word to everyone else Alice and Calder turned around and practically carried Sedry back to the common room.

They sat him down on the couch that faced the fire.

"She'll be fine," Alice reassured him, and then she remembered, "oh crap!"

Calder turned and gave her a scolding look, "what?"

"I think I really hurt Garret, I have to go see if he's okay." She stood up and rounded Calder's chair. Whispering, she said, "make sure he's okay alright? I'll get lindsay and bring her here while I'm checking on him, don't give him his wand yet." She kissed his cheek and ran outside.

Kate and Jesse helped me up from the ground. I could barely breathe from the pain. I fell back down to my knees and cried. I took a deep breath and tried to get back up again. I made it.

"You ok?" Kate asked.

"Hurts less." I breathed. "Where is--" I gasped as realization hit me. How could he have done that to me? I didn't believe it. I had to know what happened. I heard a loud moan. I was a bit better, still in pain, but better.

"What was that?"

"Dunno." Jesse shrugged. Kate, Jesse, and me walked toward the sound. It was Garret, he looked real bad, and Alice was leaning over him trying to help.

"Alice." I said quietly. She turned around so fast she almost dropped Garret. He let out a scream and she caught him and held him up.

"Lindsay! I swear, he didn't mean to, he--"

"Where is Sedry?" I asked, coldly.

"Linds, He didn't know what he--"

"Where is he?" I asked in a harder tone, holding back my tears.

"I'll take you to him after I bring Garret to the Hospital Wing. But for right now, you can come with me." I looked at Garret's face and he smiled. I shook my head.

"No. I'll meet you in the hallway by where your common room is."

"You sure?"

"Yes."

"Ok then." She walked away with Garret, who was trying to look back. I colapsed against a tree and held my head in my hands. Kate and Jesse walked back with them. In about, what seemed like 20 minutes, I got up and walked in to meet Alice.

When Alice returned she was wringing her hands together nervously, "Lindsay...Sedry might not be very coherint yet, he was still babbeling when I left to go make sure I didn't kill Garret."

"I want to talk to him." Lindsay said defently.

Alice shrugged and opened the potrait hole, Calder and Sedry weren't there.

"They're probably up in the dormatory, I'll go get them."

Alice rushed up into the boys dormitory and spotted them.

"Sedry heard Lindsay talking to you and almost lost control again."

"Well she's going to talk to him, but..." she lowered her tone, "did he say what happened?"

Calder nodded and grabbed her elbow, leading her away from Sedry, who was lying on the bed staring at the ceiling. "He heard that Lindsay kissed Garret and he just lost control, I mean to an extent almost unimaginable, it looked like he was under the imperous curse."

Alice took a shaky breath, a tear rolling down her cheek, Calder wiped it away. "I've never seen anyone like that before, it...was beyond scary." She shook her head, "think he's ready to talk to her?"

Calder looked over his shoulder at Sedry, "he's got to be hasn't he?"

Alice nodded, and together they got Sedry into the common room and sat on the stairs, just out of view, watching.

I was looking down at my feet and when I looked up, Sedry was there. I tried to look at him, but I just turned away. Tears were welling up in my eyes. 'Be strong' I told myself. I walked over a bit and he took a step back.

"Sedry..." I choked. "I'm...I'm really sorry." I couldn't help it, I started sobbing. I turned away and took a deep breath. I wiped away the tears on my face and turned back, I was pretty close to him and I could tell he was trembling. I hugged him.

"I am so sorry. I'm a fool, but I hope you can forgive me. You don't have to. You shouldn't. But I wish you would. But if you hate me I'll understand. I didn't mean to do it, I just..." I bit down on my fist and took a step back. He was just looking at me.

"I'm sorry I hurt you. I didn't mean to. I..." He sighed and walked back up the stairs. I heard the door slam and I sat down on the couch.

Calder and Alice watched as Sedry threw himself onto his bed staring at the ceiling again. "I can't believe her!" He said desperatly, "I hurt her and she's apologizing to me?"

Alice sat down by his head, "you know she was apologizing for kissing Garret, she was so upset about it."

He glared at her, "how do you know?"

"Because she told me you did, and that she didn't want me to tell you because she wanted to tell you herself when she figured out why." She gave him a stern look, "she's still down there, go talk to her."

"I don't know what to say?"

"Tell her not to apologize! Tell her you love her!"

"Ho-"

"How do I know? I reconize the spark. Now if you don't go talk to her I'll push you down the stairs."

Obidently he stood up and walked down the stairs. Alice grinned and laid back across Sedry's bed. "Isn't tomorrow a Hogsmead day?"

Sedry let out a small grin as a plan formed in his head. Before coming into the common room, he whispered a quick accio spell. His firebolt, outdated but familiar, floated down to him. This was going to be good.

He peeked out into the common room. Lindsay was gone.

good... he thought.

pushing open one of the many windows, he mounted the broom and lifted off into the air, letting a cool night breeze tickle his face. His eyes scanned the courtyard, looking for a certain figure in the night.

"Target spotted..." he whispered to himself. Lindsay walked along the grassy exterior, looking more miserable than ever before.

Without another thought, Sedry dived downward, straight towards her. letting his left arm free, he scooped her up, letting her let out a ferocious scream.

"Bloody HELL!!" she screamed, looking at him incredulously. "What are you doing?"

Sedry grinned even wider. "You are taking a ride with me, whether you like it or not."

He slipped her on the back of the broom, whispering, "hold on."

She quickly wrapped her arms around his waist as he shot up into the air into the night sky. Stars glittering in approval as they jumped higher and higher.

He slowly pulled the a floating stop in full view of the moon, right above the lake.

Lindsay, her face still tearstained from her daily cries, looked at him with disbelief. "Sedry, what are you-."

Her mouth was stopped by his own. He pressed to her softly, and she did not resist. For a few blissful minutes, the stayed together, the lips connected in love. As they slowly parted, Sedry could see the tears fall from Lindsay again.

"Don't cry." he whispered softly, kissing her again lightly on the lips. "There's something you should know."

Leaning into her ear, he whispered ever so gently, "I love you."

"But what about...I mean...Garret and...I thought you would hate me." I couldn't believe what he was saying.

"I could never hate you." He stroked my cheek with his hand.

"Good. Because I don't think I could live knowing you hated me. I..."

"Ya know, you kinda ruined the moment." He smiled. I laughed and kissed his cheek, smiling.

"Sedry."

"Yeah?"

"I love you too. And I'm not even going to talk to Garret anymore. I promise."

Sedry let out an empty laugh. "He's a friend. I know that. And if you want to talk to him, its fine."

He produced a silver chain, glittering in the moon beams. Hanging from its middle was a large diamond heart. Lindsay gasped as rainbow beams danced across the surface. Sedry slid it around her neck, connecting it with a small kiss on the back of her neck.

"Just a reminder," he said, "That I am forever and for always yours."

Adam was careful to not be heard as he placed his ear on the staf room door, various voices echoed within.

"He was imperioused, Professor!" argued Hagrid, "No one his age could perform that curse!"

"Hagrid, I know you have the best of itnentions at heart, but that does cahge the fact that not one, but two Unforgivable Curses has been used at Hogwarts tonight!" said Professor McGonagal.(sp)

"We must keep a closer eye on the students," drawled Professor Thorn, "Someone is obviously advancing their knowledge of dark magic and eager to test it. We need to kep a track of how many students go into the restricted section and who they are."

"I will make sure and inform Madem Pince in the morning. For now, all we can do is wait."

Adam slinked off down the hall and around a corridor. Slipping into a secret passage as the teachers went back to bed. Idiots

Kate

I couldn't sleep so I was wandering around Hogwarts when I saw Adam up ahead. I almost called out to im but then he disapeared into one of the old secret passages. After a moment's hesitation I followed him. What's going on? Where could e be going at this time?

Adam made his way down the dark passageway using his wand tip as a source of light. I dared not walk too close or light my own wand but I also could not afford to lose sight of him. Suddenly he stopped and cocked his head to one sight. I pressed myself against the wall and stilled my breathing.

Jesse was sitting on the roof top above the Ravenclaw common room again. It was getting dark. He had caught a glimpse of Sedry and Lindsay riding a broom together. Tommorow was Hogsmeade and the school dance. He still didn't have anyone to go with but he didn't care. He wanted to go just to have fun. He climbed back down the ladder into the room. It was crowded but not full. He sat on the couch and opened the letter from Hayley. There was nothing inside the envelope. Not even a little piece of paper.

***I'm ba-aack! For now at least. I hope this is ok, considering that I have little idea of what's going on.***

Sara wandered through the grounds, smiling when she noticed Sedry and Lindsay high in the sky, kissing. *It's about freaking time,* she thought, chuckling. She turned and saw a ravenclaw boy sitting on the roof; she considered going up and talking to him, but didn't get up the nerve until five seconds after he had went back down the ladder into his common room.

Sara had been feeling more alone these days than ever before. Almost all of her friends were couples; she wasn't one to get jealous, but she was feeling a bit left out. The school dance was the next night, and she knew she would end up sitting against the wall, as usual. THe only difference was that she would be sitting alone this time. Sara heaved a large sigh and walked back to her common room.

Alice and Calder sat on the couch that was facing the fireplace.

"So, the dance is tomorrow," Calder said casually.

"Dance?" Alice said, what dance? She hadn't heard about a dance.

"The school dance, you know...right?"

"Honestly this is the first time I'm hearing about it."

"Oh..."

"Well..." Alice said, "if you don't have plans-"

"Would you like to go with me?"

Alice smiled and kissed his chin, "you're getting better at this."

"Is that a yes."

"Thats a yes." She tapped his knee and stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"Well it is last minute, I have to make sure I have something to wear." She smiled and went into the girls dormitory. She already knew what she was going to wear, she was just going to make sure it fit and all.

After trying it on and was satisfied it fit right she carefully took the beautiful blue dress off and hung it back up on the corner of her four poster bed.
