"Where's she gone?" Xander asked as Sarabella left the room.

"To find her book, I think, but there might not be enough time...." By now, Xander, Madam Pomfrey and me were rummaging through her supplies while Calder and Sedry tried to keep Alice warm.

"Think boy, what's the last ingredient?" Madam Pomfrey demanded, starting to mix the ones we had already collected. "Bezoar stone in first. Yes, that's right. Then the wormwood. Can you grind that, Xander? And add a pinch of dried nettle. Very important...." Xander nodded and began to crush some of the items together.

It wasn't long after that when Ryoshi dragged Garret into the room.

"You!" Sedry spat, turning on him.

"Shush now, my dear, I'll have no fighting in this room."

"But he's the one who cursed her. What if she dies?" Calder retorted.

"There, that's all I can do for now. The potion has to stand for ten minutes before the final ingredient can be added anyway. Let me see your face, boy," Madam Pomfrey placed a cup of murky liquid on the windowsill and then began gathering Dried nettles, Crushed snake fangs, Stewed horned slugs and Porcupine quills to cure Garret's boils before using her wand to reverse the teeth enlargement curse.

"What the bloody hell did you do with my book?" Sarabella screamed, entering the room and whipping out her wand.

"Here, drink some of this boy," Madam Pomfrey interrupted with an approving glance in my direction. I blushed and slipped the potion bottle behind my back. Garret took a sip and his boils began to fade rapidly.

"Where's the book, Garret?" I asked.

"The book?" He sneered. "It's in my bag." Then he frowned as if he hadn't meant to say that. "Hey. What's in this?" He demanded, angrily."

Jesse sat in Divination bored out of his mind. He began dozing off.
"You must release your mind," Professor Trelawney was saying to a Hufflepuff boy across the room. He was nearly asleep when Trelawney appeared in front of him.
"What do you see?" she asked Jesse.
"He got his grip and focused on the crystal ball in front of him. He didn't see anything.
"I don't see anything," he replied to her.
"Yes well, see me after class, Jesse," she said turning away. A couple kids giggled and laughed at him. He didn't care. His thoughts returned to Alice and he wondered how she was doing. That's where he planned to go after class. The hospital wing.

*Sorry guys, I got grounded for a few days, but I'm back now! Wow I missed a lot...*

I ripped down the halls. I ran right into the Hospital Wing.

"Where's Alice? Is she ok? Garret! You Bastard! How could you?" I was screaming and yelling and Sedry put a hand over my mouth.

"Shhh. Calm down." He said and let go. I took a few deep breaths and looked around. Garret was asking about something angrily.

"What the heck is going on?" I asked.

"I might be wrong but I think Kate just slipped Garret some Veritaserum," Xander noted, a touch of admiration in his voice.

"But where did you get a thing like that?" Lindsay demanded.

"There's a reason I'm in Slytherin," I replied with a shrug as Sarabella hurried from the room and then returned with a large book.

"Crushed hypogriff claws," Sarabella panted. "The last ingredient is crushed hypogriff claws to be sprinked in and stirred three times anti clockwise."

Ten tormenting minutes passed, and Alice started to turn blue. "Hold on Alice, its done."

Madam Pomfrey came over and handed her a cup, "drink up dear."

Alice swallowed the nasty tasting liquid and felt warmth spread through her. When it was all gone she swallowed and made a sour face, "that tasted nasty."

"How do you feal?"

"Better," her bounce started to return, and she sat up. "I now pity the polar bears."

Everybody laughed.

I walked over to Garret who sitting on the edge of the bed while the others were joking around.

"That was a horrible thing to do. Even for you." I said looking at him. He shot up.

"You know the only reason I did it was I don't want you with Gryfindors at all. I want you with the one guy who can take care of you. A man. I want you with m-" I put my hand over his mouth.

"Shhh. You're telling me things I don't want to hear and you don't want to say. It'll wear off soon. Just do me a favor, leave me alone." I said looking away as I dropped my hand.

"You think I'm gonna leave you cause you say so? I'm-"

"Shut up!" I shouted. Everyone looked our way. I stormed out and bumbed into Jesse, who I knew from classes. He saw my tears and opened his mouth but I ran off.

"Garet, you stupid prat, can't you just deal with the fact that she doesn't like you?" Sarabella snapped, glaring at the Slytherin boy.

"No! I want her, and that's final!" he snapped bakc. Sarabella sighed and ran after Linds.

The next morning, Jesse, Calder, Sedry, and Alice, all went down to breakfast together. Suddenly, Calder percked up.

"Is anyone feeling particularly crazy today?" He asked no one in particular.

"Why?" said Sedry,"What are you planning on doing?"

"Well, i thought, since you know, considering the fact that we have so far done everything in our power to take down the barrier between the Griffondors and the Slytherins, we might as well take a big step this morning. If you get my drift?"

I slipped out of the hospital wing as soon as I saw that Alice was recovering and checked my schedule, relieved to find that I hadn't missed any lessons and neither did I have any more that day. Hurriedly I headed for the common room and rushed up the stairs, hiding in the girl's dormitory.

A few hours later, shouts broke out downstairs as Lindsay and Sarabella entered together. Somehow they made it through the group of angry Slytherins without being cursed and I heard them climb into their beds after exchanging a few words.

The next morning, it was with great reluctance that I gathered my things and headed for the great hall. I found Lindsay and Sarabella in deep conversation at one end of the Slytherin table while the rest of our house glared at them and openly planned how they were going to teach the 'traitors' a lesson.

"Could I sit with you?" I asked nervously for the first time in my life. Never had I 'sat' with anyone before. Not on the hogwarts train, not in lessons and not in the great hall but then, I hadn't really had any friends before.

Alice looked at Calder strangely, "Cal, what are you thinking?"

"Lets sit with the Slytherins today!"

Alice dug through her robes for her wand, when she found it she put it in the most easily reached place.

"Alright! Lets go for it!"

"You guys are nuts," Sedry said and started to walk away. Alice clung to his arm and gave him her cutest puppy face.

"Please Sedry?" She made her lip quiver. He looked away trying to stop himself from caving, but every time he checked to see if she stopped she was still doing it. Finally he gave up.

"Alright! I'll sit with you!"

"Yay!" Alice threw her arms around him.

"Sure," Lindsay replied as if it were no big deal and I sat and we talked and we ate and for the first time in my life I felt like I fit in. Then the Gryffindors approached. I watched in disbelief as they stopped in front of us.

"Can we sit with you?" Calder asked casually and the whole hall fell silent, every student watching and waiting for our answer.

"Sure," Lindsay said again, her tone no different from when she replied to me and Sarabella and I nodded in agreement.

"Thanks," Alice smiled as the three took seats beside us.

"So... how are you feeling?" I asked.

"Much better thanks," She replied.

Alice looked down the legnth of the table, smiled and waved at some of the people she knew. Some ignored her, others glared, and one or two waved back maintaining an utterly confused look on their face.

"I don't think they're too happy about us sitting here," Alice commented. Breakfast appeared in front of them, they ate, talked and ignored the rest of the Slytherins.

When Alice finished she looked at her watch, "Merlin's pants'! I'm going to be late for class!" She picked up her bag, smiled and ran off to Divination.

"You guys are insane," Sarabella commented as she walked with the Griffindors to class. They had devination together.

"Yup, but that's the best part," Alice agreed. Lindsay laughed, and Sedry put his arm around her.

Lindsay looked at Sedry warily, but did not pull away. He smiled, seeming slightly relieved.

Calder silently noted sedry's movement, and inched his way his way towards Alice, as if to make the same guesture. But Alice was too busy chatting away with everyone else, letting her randomized ideas pour out of her mouth.

"Is she always this talkative?" Lindsay whispered, trying hard not to allow Alice to be within earshot.

Sedry chuckled. "You should see her in the common room."

I smiled at him. Jeez! That laugh was making me want melt. Garret walked in and looked at Sedry with his arm around me. He was practically steaming. I was so glad when Professor Trelawney walked in. I sat right next to Sedry an Alice as the lesson started.
