Of course I immediately think of your story ;-) but otherwise I think of something familiar, although I can't place it. Like I'm reminded of a song that maybe had the title, "The blank are blanking" but I can't remember what either blank is. Which... really has nothing to do with the novel, but it is what comes to my mind.

Sounds like a thriller to me. Something blood pumping and intense, that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I'm totally into that stuff. ;)

It doesn't sound much like a title, a little long for that. But I would pick it up because it interests me. It almost reminds me of something like Don't Panic. Almost.

Sounds like a terribly depressing autobiography of child abuse. It'll have a close up of a small girl's face on the cover, and some additional text about A trust betrayed... one child's struggle to survive...

I wouldn't even bother picking it up, sorry. Here's hoping it isn't like that.

I think of Egypt, or jewelry. I don't know why. And I would have no idea what the book would be about...

Weird romance that gets stuck in the "Women's Fiction" in ASDA.

Both sound like adventure/mystery books to me. The Scarab one sounds more like a mystery. I'm not really into mystery, but I would probably at least pick them up.

Most likely fantasy; "glaive" looks like "grove" to me, so I'd think it'd be set in the middle of a forest.

It sounds like a cute kind of story... Fortune cookies make me think of ice cream cones and the silly slips of paper you get in them. I don't know what it would be about but I think I'd pick it up, and look it over.

Hmm, might I have heard mumblings for this memior before? "Black Water" makes me think of a horror story from camp, set on a dock, in the middle of the night, under a full moon. And "a Memior" either contradicts all that, or makes it all the more frightening.

Something actiony, it reminds me of spys, or mission impossible....I probably wouldn't look at it twice. The capitals freak me out...

(And Shadowtwit, don't worry, Broken has nothing to do with child abuse...I'm trying to find the right title for something else...)

It depends...sort of nondescript? Silver's a good word, though, so it's not like the title were just "cake" or something less-than-mysterious. I'd probably pick it up.

It sounds like some sort of thriller...I would pick it up though, so it depends on what it's about. The title caught my intrest though. =D

I like flames, and the 'we are' is sort of gothic, archaic. Don't know why, really, but it is...and I like it. I'd pick it up, since it's different.
