Minor suggestion, I was wondering if it was possible in the People's Tab to make the default All Members as opposed to Following, simply because I think that most people don't realise that is a distinction they can make and as a consequence new members lose out on visibility and engagement.
Have noticed that the resolution / image quality for the avatars under the "Following" section on profiles is pretty poor compared to the "Members" under clubs...

- On profile pages, the gradient fade covers profile banners, rendering them unclear and hard to see. It's un-incentivizing for personalization since it feels like it limits what banners can be, re: legibility. - Soooome of the words seem to be cutting off in wall posts with the list coding? Dunno if that's cuz of the code. Only seeing it on my post right now (cutting of the word "my" partially).
What I'm Enjoying:
- The staggered replies in the people's tab and an actual "reply" button. Easier to navigate! - Now that the paper bg is gone, this feels nice to look at and isn't messing with my inner ear lmao (my fragile brain could NOT handle VR). - Feels cleaner/sleeker and more modern! Less "dated forum" feel (not a negative connotation but idk how else to word it). - Being able to edit people's tab posts WHENEVER! Sometimes I don't catch typos until later. Embarrassing.
couple comments on the new people tab!! - there's no longer an easy way to quote a wall post - in the past this was a way to spread announcements and such - might just be me, but the margins seem a little uneven? on the left edge versus right (this is more apparent on people's walls)
I wish there was a way like the previous version to see all of the trending #s and clubs and everything in the same sidebar instead of it being crammed vertically into a small space on the top, but i understand this new version is way better for a modern design and legibility/consistency
A serrodyne is a signal-processing technique used to shift the frequency of an electromagnetic wave by applying a continuous, linear phase ramp.
For the customization of profiles, could we have a color option for our banner similarly to how we can set our backgrounds as a color/hex code instead of the default or an image?
@Omni ->> With dark mode, all of that is just getting applied automatically by the same program that Dark Reader uses for Chrome & Firefox. I'm trying to avoid doing any customization of that script as it seems to work really well as-is, but I did go ahead and change how likes work in the forums so that it's not rendering that weird white box around the like button.
That said, if there is anything especially annoying, just let me know. I've already done some small improvements here and there to it -- I just don't want to be spending a lot of time on it.
@serrodyne ->> I'm not quite there yet, but I'm trying to create a distinction between when a circular avatar appears and a square avatar appears. A circular avatar should signify that a large area is clickable, whereas a square avatar should signify that only the avatar itself is clickable. It's one of those small design things that people never think about, but makes navigation through a website feel easier. That being said, circular avatars will always cut off a portion of what you see.
@cherie ->> Didn't even think about doing that. It's a good idea. Done.
“Are you serious?” “Completely.” “You’re telling me that you'll get to sleep on a king-sized bed while we have to share a tiny room with two bunk beds.” “I want to sleep on top!” “Tommy, you’re not helping.”
I also love dark mode! My only concern is the signature section is very bright and that kind of....detracts from having a dark mode. Any chance we can make that part's background darker?
