the speed limit
When you're faced with something you don't understand, I think the most natural thing but also least interesting thing you can be is afraid.

I’m a bit hopeless this year but still want to post something so here goes.

The past is not clay, but the future is not stone

Broken dreams and broken glasses
Spoiler
Through the shards of broken glass,
I see my dreams rising high up in the sky,
How near they were once upon a time!
And how far they went on that very moment.

The ink blotted through my answer paper,
And my blood rushed through my veins,
All was good and perfectly fine, until...
If only I had realized that a bit sooner!

Now, my dreams are shattered like glass,
Some failures simply don't give a chance,
They are made to pierce you all along,
And you wonder why you did it wrong.

They mainly happen somewhere warm and sunny
on an island that I own, tanned and rested and alone
surrounded by enormous piles of money." -Flynn Rider, Tangled

APRIL MADNESS ROUND 2

Image
(sorry Hijinks i'll edit your name next round)

Sorry for the delay, but the results are in! There were many strong contenders this year, so it was definitely a close one.

Reminder that poems must be submitted by 04/18/2022 0:00 GMT! There's a redemption bracket being held this round as well, so please make sure to submit on time! The two poets who win the redemption bracket will be added onto the main one, which gives them a chance to win it all.

Spoiler
In a shadow there is the blessing of a shadow.

Thought I'd post a silly one but the sounds in this tickled me.
