Joe sputtered, "I-I don't know what you're talking about!"

Suddenly, Cody was looming over him. Valeri crossed her arms and intensified her glare at Joe. Dawn glowed a deep pink.

Vendetta stepped onto Joe's little stage. "Alright, Jim. Time for you to be exposed."

Joe frowned. "It's Joe! I mean, Josephinzo!"

"Yeah, yeah, Jody." Valeri stepped up next to Vendetta. "We have proof of your sleazy schemes."

"I have no schemes! What are schemes?"

“Kidnapping someone and turning them into a cloak.” Khalil shifted to keep his knee on Joe’s back.

“Framing someone for his husband’s murder!” Cody glared at him.

“Lying to two teenagers to get immortal weapons to make us try and fight an innocent man!” Vendetta patted Dusk on their string. “Not that we regret getting you.”

"And of course, manipulating the WANNABES and slandering Cody's name. You've lied to the whole world about who you are." Valeri faced the crowd. "This vile wizard isn't the hero he wants you to think he is."

Vendetta stood beside her. “Yeah! He’s a liar, a kidnapper, and all-around bad dude!”

Joe attempted to look as noble as he could while being pinned to the ground. "Kidnapper? Me? Lies! All lies!"

The crowd muttered excitedly.

"Y-you have no proof!" Joe cried desperately.

Vendetta nodded. "We do have proof!"

Dusk floated menacingly close. "And you're about to prove it."

"Impossible!"

Valeri smirked. "I wouldn't be so sure. Say, Joe, do you remember that time you said you discovered how Malacoda was raising an undead army? It was on a 'fateful Monday' if I remember correctly."

Joe nodded. “Yes! A fateful Mondy thirteenth.”

Vendetta hummed. “June thirteenth, huh?”

"Yes. I discovered his evil schemes on my very own," Joe boasted.

"Is that so?" Valeri raised an eyebrow.

“Because we have video evidence of you being in Houston on that day.” Vendetta crossed their arms.

Joe scoffed. “Malacoda doctored it!”

"Oh, I'm sure there are witnesses. After all, you were at a book signing, isn't that right?"

Joe grimaced. "A-absolutely not."

Vendetta leaned in. “My oh my. Did you hear a stutter there, Valeri?”

"I did indeed." Valeri smirked.

Dawn floated into the air. "Busted!"

"Hey, wait a second. I was stuttering because-- because of all these preposterous lies!" Joe frowned. "Besides, where exactly is this proof you're talking about?"
