Animorphers DT

Hazel and I agreed on the Emma/Riley friendship last night, and we're meeting to discuss it a little more soon.
I'm so pumped for this! I've always wanted to read Animorphs but never got a chance so doing something like this is really special to me.
And in case anyone's interested, Riley hates being enemies with anyone. If there's anyone who's acting distant towards her she won't leave them alone until they warm up to her.

Ok great. that's one friendship sorted. my character wouldn't really have many friends. He has frequent bouts of depression on the subject. But does anyone want thieir character to be friends, enemies etc. with Dan?

This what I kind of figured out for my character relationships if it's ok with you guys? It's not set in stone, I'm totally fine with changing the relationships around.

Gwen has the hugest crush on him. She often doodles hearts around his name in her notebooks. She's oblivious to his debating and arguing nature due to being heads over heels in love with him.

Gwen finds her cold and mean and tends to avoid her.

Gwen and Em are inseparable best friends. They've been friends for the past 3 years. They hang out all the time.

Neon tends to concern Gwen. She's not scared of him, but she worries for his mental health. She sees him as pretty harmless.

Gwen finds her annoying and drama and tends to avoid her.

@LordZeus Dan

Gwen finds him cute but disgusting. She hates to get dirty and Dan's love of zoology grosses her out. They're very good friends. Gwen is unaware of his struggles with depression but if she did know she would try to help and support him.

Gwen isn't particularly friends with him or know much about him. They rarely talk.

Gwen barely knows her and generally doesn't pay much attention to her. She finds Riley to be overbearing

Gwen has seen Jinx around school and barely knows his name. He keeps to himself and she keeps to herself.

Gwen and Charlotte are friends ish and they often hang out in a trio of Em, Charlotte, and Gwen.

Gwen finds Oliver to be a good person and amusing. They aren't really friends but they probably would be if they really started talking to each other.

Riley never leaves him be. He's always a little distant and she's determined to at least get him to talk to her for more than five minutes.

They don't talk much. The normal chit-chat between aquaintences just about covers it for them.

The only person she's afraid to talk to. She thinks he's kinda cute and avoids socializing with him in case she says/does anything stupid around him.

Riley would love Gwen as much as she does Jynx. She really wants to get to know Gwen especially because she's such good friends with Emma, but she also knows that she might overwhelm Gwen at times so she tries to dial it down around her.

@TheFantasy14 It's Jinx with an I, haha. Sounds good so far! I'll try to get my character relationships in later today.

In order to get some character development done, I suggest we start the SB the day before the field trip. Perhaps starting at lunch time, and then we can skip talking about the next few classes and go straight to science class as last period, since that's the only class we know they are all in together. Does that sound okay?

@LordZeus I agree. Let's start before the feild trip so the readers can get a feel for the characters and their personalities.
@LeftyWriter I have a question. Can the Animorphers partially morph, like, just change their DNA enough to get cat's claws or a lion tail or something, or do they have to morph fully? Also, maybe our guys could keep some of the traits of the animal they morph into while still in human form, like having an acute sense of smell/hearing, or enhanced speed/stamina/agility?

Her brother is close friends with Mike and ignores Emma all together. Whenever Emma tries to talk to Michael, he pushes her off.

Hannah, to Mike, is annoying. She is always loud spoken and tries to butt into conversation. Hannah hangs around the little group that Mike has.

Mike doesn't know or like Daniel. In the hallway, he would look upon him as someone else that is going to class. They have one class, which is Spanish and they work together on projects.

Michael and Ryker get along quite well. They work well together on projects; they not close enough friends but Mike wants to know Ryker a little more.

Michael has a iffy friendship with Jinx. At first, he wasn't sure at being friends with Jinx but in math class one day, they started talking and their friendship grown ever since.

Mike has the biggest crush on Charlotte. Her attitude to sports and her shyness make him love her more. He wants to get to know Charlotte more than just locket buddies.

Michael is good friends with Oliver. He enjoys the facts of space (as being uneducated) and enjoys the jokes he makes.
