I think we should do a little role playing with our characters (like in a chat form) to get a better feel of them ourselves and to kind of build up relationships with other characters.

Sounds cool. But let's at least decide the basics of our characters' relationships, because I think that characters should become friends, enemies etc. Only if both owners agree to it.
