@AstralHunter: Does that mean I can disregard my twin brother if he criticizes my work? Hooray! :D

...Well, honestly, he never reads anything I write. He seems to read everything else save for what I write. XD Who knew that being born 30 minutes after your twin brother would make such a big difference? We are entirely different personality-wise, and are more likely to be alone than together. Unless the topic is about video games, in which case the conversations we hold easily last a half hour or longer. For instance, the one we had yesterday about some the PMD games lasted at least half and hour, and that was a fun conversation. Maybe I should show him this SB sometime. I wonder what'd he think about it....

Anyway, I agree with you. I don't believe a plot created entirely by making it up as one goes along can trump one where a lot of effort has been devoted into its conception. I'd also like to see a story composed of nothing but on-the-spot thinking. If I see such a story, I'll also craft a story that has been composed from a lot of planning. Let us see who is the victor, shall we?

Oooh, I'm in on this battle. @15253, create a Fanfiction with no prior planning, and pit it up against Tale of a Charmander. Let @AstralHunter be the judge, and we'll see who wins. This is exciting! :D (Ees Char approved)

Anyways, concerning the meeting, Hunter, I have an idea. If you could have Riley standing near Flurry, have Riley first here of Articuno's capture at the meeting, then have a small conversation take place between the two humons and have Riley slip out while everyone's distracted, I would be happy. What I want to do is go back to the meeting and re-write just that part from Riley's perspective. I'll also make it so Flurry can choose whether to follow him or not. It'll be a good post, trust me.

Oh yes, and a quick reminder: Riley alone is rescuing Articuno. So if you are going to plan an organized recovery of the bird, please ensure that it doesn't actually take place.

I am double-posting for additional information.

Hunter, please make it so you can't actually here what Riley and Flurry are talking about. Thanks!

I am TRIPLE-POSTING for the sake of doing something awesome!

Poll time! Yesterday, I was playing Alpha Sapphire and thought: How did we turn such a simple game into a work of art?

In honour of this thought, I'd like to know what games were the best to you. The official question: What was your favourite main series Pokémon gen/game?

I need to think about this one, to be honest.

@TheSilverFox, your brother is your twin? How is this the first time I noticed it...?

@Charizard821, I shall do as you ask and add a part where Gabriel sees Riley speak to Flurry after Xerneas has announced that Articuno and Latias are missing. Gabriel will look at Charizard in pity and decides to talk to him later, but when they reach the point where the Pokémon must decide what they are to do after the meeting and he wants to speak with Riley, he will notice Riley is missing. When he and Flurry start looking around, a Legendary will ask what the matter is, and Flurry, Shaymin, Jewels, Raikou and Landorus will then opt to go after him.

Also, you needn't worry about the Resistance rescuing Articuno, since they will demand her and Latias' release in exchange for releasing Thundurus and Tornadus - something which won't be happening soon.

EDIT: I pressed submit, but lo and behold, two more posts awaited me. In response to your poll, Char, I cannot say. The only game I've ever played was the start of a some PMD game at my cousin's house. (If you know which one supposedly scans your aura to determine what Pokémon you will become, it's that one.)

@AstralHunter: Because I dislike using the word "twin." Usually, that word seems to imply (to me) that the two of us are somehow one person, or at least very close to one another. It seems to suggest that we are one bundle of two people, rather than two people with individual personalities only unified by our birth. That's the connotation of the word to me, based on some of my experiences with other people and my mom's dislike of the word. That is not a word that describes me or my older brother, and, as such, I don't like to refer to us as "twins." I prefer my younger brother's calling us "brothers," despite the fact he sometimes uses it in a scenario where grammar-wise it is incorrect. I hate grammar mistakes. XD

@Charizard821: My favorite main series Pokémon game? Well, there's only one game that comes to mind: Pokémon White Version. I remember that day clearly. It was May 11th, 2011 (almost four years ago, my goodness!) when I bought the game and played it. I did it because my brother had bought Pokémon Black Version on April 24th, and because we fell in love with the game shortly afterwards. As a result, I wanted my own game, and decided it would be most appropriate to get the other version. Those two games had so much mystery to them, partially because they were the first Pokémon games we ever played. We didn't know what kinds of Pokémon we could find, and the mystery and the excitement made us very eager to play. I remember when I got my first Pokémon, an Oshawott, and how happy I was at that time. It was an exhilarating, exciting experience for the both of us, and certainly worthwhile. I think it was that game that got me interested in video games more and more, as I remember the two of us started playing more video games as a result. Now I have Pokémon White Version, White 2, X, and Alpha Sapphire; he was Pokémon Black Version, Black 2, Y, and Omega Ruby. See the pattern? :P However, it was that first game that was the best, because it held the most mystery and excitement, and the plot was absolutely wonderful. I think I've spent over 300 hours playing it, and I still enjoy the game today. :D

._. there all exactly the same.

Sure, add some graphics, 3D, new pokemon, but its still exactly the same. In fact, to show that pokemon has run out of ideas they made Omega ruby and Omega sapphire. Seriously? They remade the same thing with 3D graphics and a bigger version of Groudon and Kyogre. List something about this new game and trust me it can easily be knocked down as a simple gimmick.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I joined this and its pokemon and whatnot but that's only because this is such a nostalgic game. These aren't bad games, there just getting really redundant.

Case in point, I guess anything around sapphire or ruby and emerald.

@15253: I advise you watch what you say. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but people might become aggressive or upset when you criticize something openly and that topic is something that other people might feel differently about. My nemesis would always do that, and it irritated me immensely. Personally, I like the two games. I don't believe they are gimmicky versions of the original game. I believe they are an opportunity for people to play a game that might not have been able to play before. Besides, there are other notable remakes, such as Fire Red, Leaf Green, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. What do you say about them?

In conclusion, please think about other people's opinions before you say anything. We're all friends here, and we are all working in the same SB, and I don't want something such at this argument to drive everyone apart. Believe me, I've seen similar scenarios where this has happened, and I don't want to see it here. Do you understand?

Oh, @TheSilverFox, you must have read my mind. Leaf Green is one of the remakes that I'm tossing around as my favourite Pokémon game of all time. I think I was as young as five when I went over to somebody's house and played it. I had no idea what I was doing, (still being introduced to gaming,) but I loved it so much. And then, when I got the game myself, I absolutely fell in love. It was the first time I'd been on my own adventure in the world of Pokémon, and I bet any one of you can guess which starter I picked from that game. :) He was my first Pokémon, and I didn't care how many others I caught, I focused only on him. I made it to the Indigo League with all Lvl 20s and that one Pokémon, my Lvl 72. Unfortunately, I eventually ran out of Hyper Potions and didn't have any more money to buy more, and without those potions, the battles were futile. To this day, I've restarted that game with all three starters, but have yet to defeat the Indigo League. Yes, Pokémon Leaf Green will always hold a place in my heart as one of my favourites.

If I had to pick any game to go up against Leaf Green, it would be Pokémon Y. Yes, I said Pokémon Y version, for the 3DS. You see, as soon as we moved past the Sinnoh region and entered Heart Gold and Soul Silver, I began to, as @15253 said, find the games repetitive and quite boring. Pokémon White version showed nothing different. I got so bored of the series, I skipped Black and White 2. Then, one day, I heard of the new 3D battle animations for the up-and-coming games, X and Y. I had been dreaming since I was a kid about the day they'd come out with animations for all the Pokémon! Needless to say, I gave Pokémon another excitement-filled chance, and I don't think I've had more fun with any other Pokémon game. Seriously, inside and out of battles, that game was LOADED with things to do and people to meet. I played it every chance I got and felt my nostalgia get revived! It even got me to watch the entire Indigo League on Netflix at every available opportunity. As you can imagine, I was quite eager to get Alpha Sapphire as well, because of it.

So I must choose between Leaf Green and Y. Hmmm.... tough choice...

About that, I won't be posting battle quotes for Riley, as I'd like to keep his dialogue out of a structured format for battles.

@TheSilverFox ok, before you tell me to stop being annoying please look at my avvy. That's right, I am the KING of annoying XD (point taken buddy no worries)

Anywho, as I said, leaf green and fire red are remakes....that's just it. I guess I believe in new things, like FPS's for example. COD is a train wreck, a fun train wreck but a train wreck nonetheless, on this I think we can all agree upon. They have been doing the same thing for four years now and its just becoming so sad to watch. I just think its always possible for people to come up with new ideas and watching them milk an already existing idea makes me lose heart in that particular game.

But hey! That's just me! And I'm sure you guys are able to strike me down so fire away! :)
