PMD: Seventeen Plates DT 2

The Jewels post is taking longer than expected, so I may have to submit it tomorrow.

@Robusto, I finished both Gabriel and Jewels' battle quotes, but they are on both characters' character profiles. (By the way, I submitted a character profile for Jewels so it's easier for me to track her progress.)

I assume your still starting the meeting right? Also, I think there should be more dungeon and less guardian (Im not pointing fingers guys its a suggestion) because after all, the game was centered around going through these long perilous dungeons and all we've been doing is fighting a couple enemies and proceeding to wreck the guardian. There should also be more travel time in general, like if your going to some place on the other side of the map it should take two to three days. Just putting that out there. :3

I have not one, not two, but three posts coming out soon. Wait... what? Not even three, but FOUR posts! There's a Felicity post, a post describing three different romances among characters (including one you'd never see coming), a Guardian Post, and a post introducing the final of my RCCs (Robusto Controlled characters).

Considering the Mystery Dungeon games I'm not exactly sure about that, @Verser. Romance is not so cheesy in Pokémon, especially when well-portrayed.
But you haven't played the games, so nevermind.

@15253 I'm pretty sure we're gonna have LOTS of travel posts after the meeting (or at least I know I've planned a few, and I don't think I'm the only one), but I agree with you there. I miss the good old Mystery Dungeons.

I guess it's 'cause longer dungeons would elongate the SB too much, maybe...?
@Robusto Are the dungeons super short to avoid the frustration of the actual Mystery Dungeons + bossfights? Or is it just the way you pace the SB? I'm fine either way, personally. Also, can't wait for your posts. Felicity does need more development.

@AstralHunter Now that was a pretty fun fight/dialogue box. Jewels/Raikou is defintely one the best duos we have, and I'm really really really likin' Saz, he's by far one of my favorite NPCs now

@15253, I am indeed still writing the meeting, I just need to be sure everyone has made their two cents heard, since Gabriel's post will be a long one.

In reference to the Mystery Dungeon, I recall the very first one - the MD for the Splash Plate in the Palace of Tides - being much the same, in the sense that the puzzle was not to alert the inhabitants by "switching on the lights". The Ground Zero Temple's puzzle was actually not even specified. In fact, in his description of it, @Robusto said that he didn't have an idea for it and that I could be creative. Well, I chose pits of quicksand to be the puzzle (the crazy guards were BBR's idea), but there aren't a great many ways you can continue using that and still keep it interesting...

Oh, and it's a little too late to object to the travel time now, since that occurred two pages ago. Then again, if you say it should take two to three days to get to the other side of the map, then getting from the bottom of the Sacred Forest to the Ground Zero Temple within a day is actually the most logical travel time - if it shouldn't be even shorter than what I made it. Besides, didn't Ren cover a larger distance in a shorter time? As I recall, he crossed the distance between the Western Cliffs and the Shrine of Safety in a shorter amount of time. Nevertheless, consult the map, and if you still differ, then I'd be happy to listen. (I'm rarely unavailable on PM or IM.) But I'm glad you liked my post.

@Tortwag, I am delighted by your enthusiastic response.

The reason I created Jewels in the first place is because things got too serious with Gabriel. Now, I am probably one of the most serious people you will probably ever meet (if you do meet me), but I can also be one of the zaniest. I felt I needed a duo to portray that side of me.

As for Saz, you better believe I have plans for that cheeky Sandslash. I decided to add another town firstly, because one just isn't enough, and secondly, because I wanted another urban environment in the west wherein our characters could act if things got too crowded in the east. Making Saz the governor of that town seemed like a perfect idea, so I went ahead with it.

PS: I plan on having Saz confront Darius later on, but considering his type disadvantage, he will need at least one human to assist him. (Sure, he defeated both a Rhyperior and a Mega Steelix in my post, but he had help with both.) At the moment, I think Twinkiel should eventually go to Sandveil - after he's done with the Insect Plate, of course - and help end that thrice-accursed Cacturne once and for always. (I don't think any of us plan on converting him to the Resistance's cause anyway.)

EDIT: @Verser, if you think all Pokémon romances are cheesy, you simply haven't seen a good one yet. Or you can't recognise one... no offense, I'm just saying...

@AstralHunter Personally I don't have anything against the time travel part. I do agree that the Dungeons may be portrayed as too easy and too short, though, but again, maybe it's a gimmick that Robusto simply wants to stick too. That, and he did tell us several times to be creative with the dungeon posts, so as long as I can find a way to elongate them, I'll be fine.
Oh you're SO welcome! I mostly didn't expect Raikou of all legendaries to be portrayed in such a casual way, but yeah I just liked the post. Great job.

Oh, well that explains a lot. Well it's a good thing Jewels is the way she is, but to be fair I expected Xerneas to be Gabriel's counterpart. Y'know, serious, but not... Reserved.

Sure! It's the equivalent of an Outlaw Mission in Mystery Dungeon. Twinkiel would definitely halt his quest for that! Maybe he'll get some infos on the Zap Plate's wherabouts that way, too.

@Tortwag, @15253, @Verser and @Robusto, I only know for a fact that the first two read my post, and those not mentioned haven't posted since I announced my post, so I don't have to tag them since it doesn't concern them. Okay, I realised I used the wrong battle theme for the Mega Steelix battle. I fixed it now, so if any of you could just go reread the post from the spoiler where the battle begins and see if the actual theme works better, I would really appreciate it. (I also fixed some errors.) I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

Tort, I would love to read about Darius being tortured, and since I think Twinkiel will be the one to do Sully's Psyche Battle *hint hint*, it would make it all the more personal. Who knows, he may even try to abduct someone Twinkiel knows (or better yet, succeed at it), forcing a rescue mission before they're sent away. Darius can use either Sandveil or the Trading Post as his BoO (if they aren't the same), so then Saz can help with his capture. Heck, knowing Saz, that little Sandslash will even ask to participate - he has no worries killing bad guys.

And while Gabriel is reserved, Xerneas is more, to quote @Buggiedude2340, "regal". Besides, he enjoys life and encourages living it to the fullest, so that duo will actually be a contrast.

@AstralHunter Works... And... It sounds like a Touhou theme. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Tenshi's, in which case it fits quite well.

That's another thing I had planned, yes. Sully's Psyche battle. And I AM considering fusing your ideas with one of my own. Not sure if Darius would succeed an abduction, but an ambush from him would be nice.
...Oooooooooh, I can see the Sniper contest from here. Darius' Super Needle vs Twinkiel's power-growing Charge Beam. Yup, an ambush would be fun. And if Saz actually WANTS to participate, that saves time as well. Interesting!

Ah. Well there ya go, even without Jewels, you'd still have a good duo to deal with

@Verser, I just realised that since Frost has swapped alliances, his all/nemesis should also swap now. That means you should update your character page so that Kyurem is now your ally and Moltres your nemesis. (That's weird, I know... :S )
