Nice post, @Tortwag. The structure was nice and the flow was good, and more importantly, you nailed Riley. Literally my biggest nitpick is that he wouldn't have smiled when shaking Twinkiel's paw, out of nerves. That's pretty good, you know? I have a few questions though.

1. What's a Nuzlocke? I'm kind of uneducated on that matter.

2. What's Riley's new name? I feel like he could still go by Rift, considering the only ones who know the name are Spaddy and everyone in Twinkiel's group.

3. I'm speaking in Riley's best interest here. The training is an excellent idea because Shaymin was really no big help when she "trained" Riley, but rest assured on two things if Twinkiel does the training. One, Riley will be very reluctant to do it because he still finds Twinkiel intimidating, and two, HE WILL LOSE! I believe it would be better if Riley sparred with Zulu, as their speeds are comparable and their skill about matched. Just an idea.

Other than that, loved it. Who's up next?

Right, so more posts to read. @Tortwag and @Charizard821, I shall get to that as soon as I can, since I have finally finished my cataloguing. ':| (It took me three full days...)

@Robusto, this other person is exempt from writing Zulu-dialogue, for obvious reasons. :P Ren-dialogue needs a reason, and I can only provide that later. I can step up my Aegeas- and Absol-dialogue though, but first, I must write Jewels' post. Gabriel isn't jealous, so he can wait a while.

Tort, they should absolutely create a Plesiosaur Pokémon - especially the Liopleurodon. Don't misunderstand me, I love Lapras, but they are too peaceful.

@15253, @TheSilverFox has already posted. I am due next, but keep in mind that our characters are at Day A7 already, since your last post ended at Night A6. Once the other groups catch up, I shall post.

Char, like I said at the beginning of this post, I can't comment yet, but as for the poll, I definitely think it's more gratifying receiving praise for something that has required a lot of effort than getting lucky. Generally, the more work you put into something, the more gratifying the reward is. If you don't put in a lot of effort because you think, "Oh, they like it anyway, so it's fine as it is," then you will get lazy and eventually your quality will slip.

Oh, and Tort, I don't want to be a wet blanket or something similar, but it's the Cutthroat Pass. You know, since it's kind of located between two cliffs or something... A path is just a little dusty track people/'mon follow.

*hands Char an Aguav berry*

EDIT: "Nuzlocke" is a combination of the Pokémon Nuzleaf and the character John Locke, who happens to be the protagonist from the TV series Lost. "Nuzlocke rules" refers to a set of rules on how to play the Pokémon video games that was created for people who wanted a greater challenge. To view the full explanation of it, click here.

By the way, I'm up next, but since I'm going to the cinemas with my best friend and my brother tomorrow, expect it on Sunday. If I don't have it up by then... well, I'll be too busy next week, so let's hope I finish it on Sunday...

@Charizard821 YES. Finally got some parts of Riley in the bag.
...Dismemberment.

ANYWAY, lemme read the rest.

...Oh. Well, one word of you and I replace/remove that smile. in my mind it was more a neverous grin than anything else, so I can replace it. By now you already know I don't mind.

1. Darn it Char, you should act like me and spend time re-readin' some of people's older posts, 'cause that's actually the third time you asked me that, and the third time Astral answers before I do XD
But to complete what Astral said, and for you to understand Twinkiel's reference, some of the usual rules include:
-You can capture only ONE pokemon in a wild grass zone;
-If any of your pokemons are K.Oed, THEY'RE DEAD. you can't use them ever again. They're dead. So by saying "this is a big nuzlocke", Twinkiel means that he's perfectly aware that his plan needs to be as good as possible, because no casualities are allowed.

2. It's Rift. I'm totally keepin' it, you found it and it's awesome I'm stupid, I should've mentioned them ALL in that post.

3. Wow, wow. Hold on. Let me ease your fears. I don't plan for Riley to actual fight any criminal. Something else will happen instead. I'll develop that in PM, sorry for not being clear.
...See I knew should've add that one hint. Aw, well. It's ok.

The training sessions are definitely going to happen, but Riley's not going to fight with Twinkiel for a long time. One or twice, maximum. These sessions are there mostly there to further complicate Riley and Twinkiel's relationship and show how different they are from one another.
See, Twinkiel has one major flaw as a teacher. He does not know how to restrain himself. When he fights, he fights. He uses every single trick he can think of to DESTROY you. He doesn't fight to win: he fights to survive. And that's what he'll be trying to teach.

Again, I'll explain the rest in the following PM. Don't you worry. Twinkiel's going to be the coach, for the most part, and as a coach, he's pretty good. He DID coach a freakin' army after all.

@AstralHunter See man, though i agree with you about the poll thing, it's extremely weird when you work little about something because you were being instictive about it, you didn't really think, and then you still receive praise. That situation's really weird because you can't even blame yourself, you just did something 'cause why not, and people around are like "YOU GOD, ME PRAISE YOU" <-- Obvious exaggeration, but... Thoughts on that? Did that ever happen to you?

Also... Oh. Cutthorat Pass. I stand corrected: it was Pass in my mind, but not when I wrote it. Lemme correct that.

Happened to me Tort. I told my last girlfriend I could write poetry on the spot and she asked me to prove it. The thing goes on YWS and whaddya know, IT GETS FRAMED AND HUNG IN A HOMELESS SHELTER!

Tell me that's not a pleasant surprise.

Anyways, thanks for your quick explanation Tort. Hunter, I'll read yours in a moment.

@Tortwag: Once again, you never cease to amaze. An excellent post and quite the scheme dreamt up by Twinkiel. I think I know a place Sully might become a regular at.

@Charizard821 WHAT?! Oh, WOW, that is MUCH worse than any of my surprise fame moments, lol.

And you're welcome. Anytime.

@Robusto Heheh, thanks!
And yes, I wished for these two to end up being customers at some point. Not to mention Sully would be an interesting one to talk to, considering the tatoo she has and what family she's from.

15253 and Verser, are you on travel? You must tell us about your trip at some point.

Also, I am back from New York! It was a very pleasant vacation, though I don't think I'd ever want to live there. Joining the multitudes of bad-mouthed bicyclists in the Big Apple doesn't sound like something I could handle.

Erm... that's about it? I know I said I would gush about Phantom, but I realized that I critique plays the way Tortwag critiques Pokemon teams, and so that probably does not belong here.

Also, thank you boys for clearing up the whole "where is Riley going and who is travelling with whom" deal. I was going to ask, but then I left.

If there are any scenes that we think need writing from Jewels and Flurry, I will be happy to go forth with that.
