Drifting Leaves (Fall 2016 Poetry)
Fall 2016 Poetry.
-
The waves of catharsis and saltwater hands pull my body into the ocean
Scarecrow eyes and hay hands
-
driving in the passenger's seat
This was me doing some experimenting with flow, structure, and other things.
-
Figure-eights in the dirt
Bee stinger earrings
-
Converting my misery to remedy
Converting improper fractions to proper ones
-
SMPTE color bars and broken bug antennas
the crickets play their instruments
-
Recycling metaphors and filling garbage bags with cliches
Documentaries about recycling and pollution
-
"It's Time to Stop"
This poem is based a lot on school for me, and the title is a joke, hence why it's in parentheses.
-
Skeleton trees stretch to dead skies
Might be edited in the future, don't know yet.
-
The luggage bags under my eyes
Rip it apart, was rushed and done in a few hours.
-
I'll turn you into nothing
A short nonet I had laying around for awhile
-
I want to be an asteroid
I take meteor showers
