Hattable

Avery Trent didn't always run into aliens. He usually finished his tea before it got cold. But now he's having trouble with both of those things.

Avery sets out to investigate a distant strange happening, only to get caught up in his own series of strange happenings.

Avery and Jason were flung across the galaxy to a planet that is very Earth-like, sending them on their first adventure together.

I hope you aren't getting Avery and less-good Avery mixed up. Don't worry, though. Things are about to change... Also, frogs!

1907 words! I think this is the longest Avery chapter so far. Good thing too, as it's been quite a while coming. I hope you enjoy this darker chapter.

Finally another chapter! Next chapter should come real soon as it was meant to be part of this one, but this got too long.

You hear a strange sound outside your spaceship one day. What could it possibly be? Probably squid people.

2,042 word count! Avery and Jasmine follow Jason and find things! Probably doesn't fit well with the last chapter, but I'll fix that eventually.

1,993 word count. Development! Plot progress! It'll all make sense in the future!

1,278 words. Not the most eventful chapter, but it's set the story up for a series of better chapters (if my writing cooperates with my plans).

2,305 words. Ship thefts and robots and space wyrms, oh my!

2,247 words. Avery is left in charge of the ship after his companions both pass out. He accidentally sets them on a course for Pompeii and worries.

2,552 words. The crew crash-lands on Pompeii, the ship catches fire, and an angry farmer atop a hippo doesn't appreciate their piloting.

2,532 words; lotta dialogue; space bikes and space fights.

1,824. This one is from the villain's (one of the villains, at least) perspective! These guys talk kinda funny.

3,069 words. Broken legs and lots of filler.
