In Love {Edited}

“What is she doing here?” he asks, in the most horrid tone I had ever heard him speak, not that I hear him speak often… It was not because he didn’t speak much, if that’s what you are thinking. It’s because I had always avoided him. I made sure he was in none of my classes (The perks of being the only daughter of a successful CEO, who every now and then, donates to the school) and choose the clubs he didn’t.

The reason is simple. He hated me! And, the worst part, the reason for his hatred was valid… To say, it has been disturbing, would be an understatement.

It was a year ago, when the incident took place. I was given a dare by my best friends and well, I had to do it to prove how daring of a person I was. I remember how I had misunderstood him for someone else. He had worn a white shirt, black pant and looked remarkable in such simple attire. His hair was perfectly messy. I remember thinking that the word handsome did no justice to him and how he looked like a model coming from a photoshoot. The funny thing was, my mind made all these comments just by looking him from a side!

“I loved you, how could you do this to me? When I worked so hard… so hard to be as good as you are” I had said to him, faking sadness and seriousness in my tone. I have been in the Drama club for more than four years so this was a cup of tea for me.

“When you said you wanted to hide this from everyone, I supported you. Every single…” Of course I didn’t love him. To be honest, I didn’t even know who he was. But that’s not the point here. You see, I didn’t realize it then, but I had pretty much shouted in the cafeteria. Everyone's ones were on us.

For a moment I stopped. He was facing me now, and I took my time to digest his hotness. I shivered as I looked him right in his eyes and immediately averted my gaze at his nose. I still remember how his green eyes had so much confusion in them. I never got how people could see emotions in eyes, until then. He was calm, like he didn't care about the fact that so many people were staring at us.

The bell rang as I started to continue and Mister Spenser came in (our school’s discipline in charge). As everyone got up and started moving, still staring at us and whispering, he began to speak before I turned and ran out of the cafeteria. I felt embarrassed and my heart was pounding. If only he hadn't been this handsome...

The next day we both were on the front page of the school’s newspaper. Everyone seemed to be talking about ‘us’. For a month or so we were the school’s hot topic, but then thankfully, after the new girl started dating one of the football players, everyone forgot about what had happened.

I remember trying my level best and doing everything I could to apologize to him, but all he did was ignore me. Avoid me. Hate me.

“You guys didn’t tell me you opened a sanatorium” he said interrupting my thoughts. For a moment I just smiled, thanking goodness for helping me out, but then I realized…

“Sanatorium!” I shouted, looking at him with the most disgusting look I had ever given anyone “Seriously…”

“Frank! That was rude; you do not speak to guests that way!” Angel said interrupting me and then asked “Do you happen to know each other?”

He looked at me and I stared back intently, hoping he doesn’t say anything. We stared at each other for about 5 secs and then he broke off.

“No, we don’t.” He had replied in a stiff tone. Angel didn’t seem convinced nor did Paul but they said nothing.

The atmosphere was really quite and weird for a few seconds then, when finally Paul cut it off “Son, why don’t you join us now” he said.

“I lost my appetite dad, Thanks to someone that is” he said eyeing me and then I watched him go upstairs. I felt guilty all of a sudden. Embarrassed even, but continued eating my lasagna anyway.

“Don’t let him bother you Suzan, he is moody and can be rude sometimes…some of the things he picked up from his father” Paul grinned at Angel’s comment, If it hadn’t for Frank to show up that day, I would have probably have laughed “Now let’s have dinner”

“Thanks Angel, the food was delicious” I said eating the last spoon in a hurry “I …well I have some work so I got to go” I lied and saying this took my black coat and headed outside. I unlocked my blue cycle which mom had bought me later last month.

I am heading towards the sea shore, my personal hangout when things don’t go the way I plan. The sea has always been my best, best friend. Whenever anything unexpected or horrible happened, I would talk all of it out to it.

The wind is furious today. Like it is also annoyed by something. My problem isn’t really Frank, it is my own embarrassment and guilt. He is only person in front of whom I don’t have the guts to stand. He never even spoke to me. I had insulted him in front of the whole school (though I didn’t mean too but he still doesn't know that) and he had never even spoken to me about it. He wasn’t even bothered to ask the reason why I did that, nothing and that really haunted me for the whole year. I couldn’t hate him because he didn’t do anything, but I couldn’t help feel embarrassed in front of him, after all, what I did was wrong.

With all these thoughts revolving around my mind I knew I needed someone to talk it out too or else I would definitely would have gone insane.

I reached the sea shore in about 15-20 minutes. It wasn’t that far from their house. I parked my cycle near a bench, keeping my coat there as well and headed towards the sea. That place is actually beach type. It has low level water till a certain point so we could go inside, if we want to. It has rocks placed in the beginning of it, so it couldn’t be called as one though.

I sat on one of the large rock and collected some small ones.

“You little demon” I whispered to the sea, referring to Frank of course, as I threw the rock “Did you hear that? You are a little demon” I said more louder this time. “Why can’t you just take revenge so that I can hate you for something, I can’t even hate you! I was the idiot to do that dare and I was the one to embarrass you. Why can’t you just...just…ah! I don’t know. That’s the problem I don’t get it. Nobody ignores me like that, everyone wants to be with me and be my friend but you oh! You don’t care, you aren’t even my anti-fan. What is wrong with you? Are you even human? You know what, you are driving me insane!” I paused taking a deep breath and then shouting “Because you are rude, mean and have no idea how it feels, to be ignored by someone!” I paused again “I can’t help thinking about you every day, every single day just because you never said anything.”

“Take this and this” I screamed continuously throwing rocks in the water. I started entering the sea at the same time to calm myself down. I loved getting in the water when it was cold… It looked insane but it really helps relieving yourself.

I was going to say something when I stopped as I heard a laugh from behind me. I turned back only to hide my face and turn again.

“I already saw your face Suzan” Frank said “You know, you really need some anger management.” As I turned, again, I saw a huge grin plastered on his face. It felt like he was holding back laughter. It looked good on him, a grin that is. Oh! Why did he have to be so devilishly handsome.

“So, started following me already” I asked sarcastically

“Not even in your dreams” He said “I came here for some fresh air but seems like I won’t be getting any”

“Yeah you probably won’t, so go on, leave”

“Leave you alone in this area? I don’t think so”

“Why? You think I can’t handle myself”

“No, I was actually worrying about the people living around here”

I rolled my eyes but as another breeze passed by me, bringing all my hair on my face, I smiled.

He looked at me intently as I was trying to fix my hair. I knew well I didn't look good but I didn't care.

I turned again facing the sea still smiling. I decided to ignore him and enjoy the weather. It felt amazing to stand there at that moment and for some reason I didn’t mind Frank’s presence. I looked down towards my neck when suddenly the smile on my face vanished. My necklace, it wasn’t there…

Hello Uma, Wolf here for a review.

So before I dive into content-wise stuff, I want to mention a few technic things. First off, after dialogue, there should be some kind of punctuation depending on what's going on. If a question mark or exclamation point is needed for emphasis there, then put it. Otherwise, a comma is needed if there is a dialogue tag afterwards, but if there isn't a dialogue tag, then a period is needed. So it would look like this (I randomly made this up):

"Hello," George smiled to Bob, "Nice to see you again."

"And you," Bob replied.

"Wonderful weather, isn't it?"

"Why, yes. It is quite nice."

Got that, right? Also, I would recommend to go through ad reread this, since there are a few spots with errors, but I can't remember exactly where (sorry I'm a little tired). I think at one point you swap the word 'quite' for 'quiet', so be careful for that.

Alright, so this was adorable. I can feel the love she is trying oh so hard to deny towards Frank. I have a feeling that Frank is doing the exact same thing to her. Oh, teenagers, can't get their emotions under control. The dialogue is really well written and the interactions are nice, for the most part. I am confused on why she left so abruptly and I think that the hosts would find that a little rude.

For the most part, with was really well written and I was really connected with the main character. Just keep in mind those suggestions I gave you, and this will turn out great. Hope to see more! Happy Review Day and Keep Writing,

Hi! there umaima :)

Oh my! It was so funny & entertaining. Her acts on impulse, her embarrassment & their accidental meet-ups—it's just so romantic. I don't have anything to say about the content 'cause you delivered it well. Yet on the technical part, this would just be my suggestions you can ignore it if you want: Since your using first person's point of view, you might as well remove the phrases/sentences in the parentheses and incorporate them flawlessly in the story. Next, would be your use of ellipsis. It's okay to put it on a dialogue but refrain on using it on the narration part. This are just my opinions don't change any of them if it's a part of your style. Nonetheless, I like and enjoyed the story :)

Keep going :)
