Casting shadows

In poems

Hanging eerily way up in the sky,
casting shadows low and high,
mystical glows that chill through the bones,
sitting up there all alone.

Like a phantom ghost coming out at night,
so pale, so frightning, so very white,
watching you with it's hollow eyes,
nothing lives there, nothing survives.

Stretching across in endless white plains,
this dreadful creature has so many names,
it circles our world, it never stops moving,
the moon is a winner and we are losing.

Wow.That is some of the best poetry I have ever read. The entire thing speaks as though it is a person. The discriptions have a sort of way about it that I can not describe. They draw you into the poem, making you want to read more. The discriptions make your spine crawl and yet feel a power about them.

hai Tinker bell! (Can I call you that? I think its a good nickname for you..) :) I am Pointe, and I'm here to review you today!

Hanging eerily wayup in the sky,
casting shadows low and high,
okay, I really think smiplicty is something you haven't mastered. I'm already tierd of reading so many words when one would do.
mystical glows that chill through the bones,
nice!
sitting up there all alone.
Like a phantom ghost coming out at night,
so pale, so frightning, so very white,
watching you with it's hollow eyes,
nothing lives there, nothing survives.
Stretching across in endless white plains,
this dreadful creature has so many names,
it circles our world, it never stops moving,
the moon is a the winner and we are losingare the losers.

okay, when I saw this poem, I thought, its not formatted right.
It needs to be narrower on the sides, like
this dreadful creature,
with so many names,
It circles our world
never stops moving.

acutally, you might want to do that to the whole poem.
do you see how much better it looks?

Hang eerily,
up in the sky,
It cast shadows
mystical glows that chill the bones.
It sits up there, all alone.
Like a phantom coming out at night,
Watching you with hollow eyes.
Nothing lives there, nothing survives.
This dreadful creature haas so many names,
Circling our world,
Never ceasing its moving.
The Moon is the winner, We are the losers.

:) hope you don't think I'm harsh!

Hello. :) Nice title.

Nitpicks:

sitting up there all alone.

- This is too short for the lengthy line that came before it. Maybe, change 'all' with 'completely'.

so pale, so frightning, so very white,

- There should be an apostrophe after 't' in 'frightning' (since the full spelling of the word is 'frightening').
- Anyway, the line seems short by one syllable compared to the preceding line. Maybe, put 'and' before 'so very white'.

watching you with it's hollow eyes,

- There sholdn't be an apostrophre in 'its' since it's possessive.
- Also, I think youc an end this with a period 'cause the following line can stand alone and isn't directly connected to this line.

nothing lives there, nothing survives.

- The 'there' is vague.

this dreadful creature has so many names,

- It should be a period after 'names'.

the moon is a winner and we are losing.

- This is an intresting ending. :) The w's don't make a good rhythmic sound when I read it though. (I hope I made sense. >.<)

- - - - - - -

Overall, I think this poem is good. :) I'm not sure if I like it though. Anyway, I like the rhymes in the first verse. I understand what the poem's all about though. All of the verses indicate that it's the moon, but some lines imply that it's a creature, and technically, the moon's not a creature. o.o Maybe, it's just me xD, so don't worry too much. ;) The wording is nice by the way. :smt023

Never stop writing! :D

Good job, I love it all, this part the most though. I felt the words come alive here. Keep Writing!

Interesting poem!
The first line immediately puts off the flow and for the rest of the poem little things do the same. But if you fix that first line (review it a bit, I mean) I think it'll help a lot.
The whole poem is actually very nice, the flow is pretty good, and all your grammar and such are perfect (at least from what I can see). I really like the last line and I got what you were saying, so that's all a big plus (+) :D

Keep writing,
Alzora

I think it was rather obvious that it was the moon, no offense. But is that necessarily a bad thing? Your descriptions were very deep; I don't really want to go into how every stanza captures something about the moon, but it just...does. I also liked the way it rhymed. Keep up the good work!

Very impressive.. I've never really heard anyone describe the moon in such a way (it is about the moon.. right? :P). Your lines have a good flow, and the rhyme scheme works well with the piece. Overall, a great write. Well done :)

Hey, Pervy here. This poem was good, first I tried guessing a bat, until I continued reading and found out that it's white, has hollow eyes and circles the moon. (some...asteroid?..hold on, I think not). Anyways I'll stop guessing, I wont figure it out.

Lovely poem, do keep at it!

Sincerely,
The Perverted Iguana~
