There are times when I want to feel small
I want to feel small in this big world of ours
To feel like none of my problems matter
Like I am not drowning in my troubles
And I feel very small
I feel small enough that I realize that I am ok
Just small enough that I can handle what I am thrust into
I can handle my small problems, in my small home
With my small life, I am one in a million of big troubles
I can handle my small world, with my small problems
And I feel very small
I feel small enough that I convince myself that I don't matter
Just enough that I could disappear and not change a thing
I can't handle my problems, small to all, but me
Overwhelming to me, my small troubles
Why fight for my very small life?
And I feel very small
There are times when I want to feel small
I want to feel small in this big world of ours
When I do feel small, so very small
I feel like I can handle my small problems
in a world of big ones
and
I feel like I am a small speck of nothing
In a world of indifference.
I feel small.

Hello! I am here for a review
I think it really ties the whole poem together. I love how at the end you changed it to Just changing a few words can really change the meaning of the line. I love it!I really like you poem, and I can really relate to the fact that you want to feel small. Sometimes we get too wrapped up into our problems and we think that the world depends on us to handle them, and that someones life depends on our decisions, but it really doesn't. It's hard to take a step back and realize that we aren't alone, and that our problems really aren't that big.
I noticed that in each of your poem that there aren't any periods or much punctuation besides the occasional comma. I think it would be good to put some more punctuation in your poem because it can help make the poem flow much smoother. It could also emphasize the attitude of the speaker.
I really like the repetition you use with the line
For the line , I think that maybe after this line you could have a simile to show how being small could help you in certain problems. For example, you could say that a thread needs to be small to fit through the eye of a needle, and maybe compare the eye of a needle to the problem. Just a suggestion
Overall, I really like your poem! It has a lot of great meaning to it, and that is really important in poems like this! Keep it up!
Hi there Mintanchor, I'm DollyDee, ready to review your piece!
The title of your work is what captured me first. Feeling small is something I always imagine and think about, so finding a piece of writing that is so relatable was intriguing!
These two lines were in your opening paragraph, and I really liked them. I think they are realistic and not sugar coated, which is a really great technique for this kind of honest writing. I feel as though you meant for your opening line to be vague, so I think it's fine as it is.
I think a lot of people try to minimize their problems, and make themselves feel better, by minimizing themselves in a way. Your thoughts are really truthful and beautifully written in this way!
I think this piece was one of the honest things I've ever read. It comforted me knowing that there are other people who think this way! Thank you for sharing your work
xx DollyDee
Beautifully written!
I really liked how you went from different sides of the text box, it kinda gives character. The poem was FANTASTIC! And for your information, the bees and ees!

I believe we ll feel small once and awhile, but that's just who we are. We're small, but even if we feel small, or lonely, there is always someone who feels the same way. If we want our voices to be heard, we have to let people here it. It's us who can do something big, and us who can change a world of indifference.
Anyways, so off of subject. I felt like I could add something to that, and did. I hope you don't mind. Continue these very inspiring poems, and love to read many more as soon as I can.
p.s. there is always someone to can help you with your struggles in life you just have to look for them.
