Human?

E - Everyone

In Poetry

---- This is to all the out-of-love-and-full-of-hate-towards-other-people terrorists, who mercilessly kill innocents everyday. ----

Pale blue eyes

Looking right through the vast black hole of hope.

Though hopeful we'll be but hopelessness always takes the toll.

Wanted to spread the white shade on globe,

But because of you it's red, everything is sad,

Every sound sounds like a moan.

-

Fight, fight for the freedom,

Fight, fight the pain,

Fight, fight the hunger, fight the poverty

But why, fight another man?

-

I am no religion,

I am just a human, like you are,

So why would you want to ruin me?

I am no different,

I have the same red blood cells, flowing in my body, like in yours

So why would you want to kill me?

-

You think you are a warrior,

And that one day you will rule the world.

But no, you are just a coward,

Afraid to talk, you're scared by the words.

So you pick up the AK47 and shoot bullets

But oh, don't you know, you're too weak to hold the white flags.

-

I'm no religion,

I'm just a human,like you are,

So why would you want to ruin me?

I am no different,

I have the same red blood cells, flowing through my body, like in yours

So why would you want to kill me?

-

Taste the taste of love once,

'Cause in the end, the hate will get you,

And drag you to the quicksand of death,

Not a death like humans.

You've still got a chance,

Throw rifles, and go with kind plans.

-

Fight, fight for the freedom

Fight, fight the pain

Fight, fight the hunger, fight the poverty

But why, fight another man?

Woah. This was powerful. I absolutely loved the message behind it. I kinda share the same mindset as the poem. Yes, why must people use religion as a means to spread hate and violence? I ask myself this everyday when I see a report about a car bomb going off in Baghdad, or people holding signs like 'god hates fags'. It is through this that I can really relate to the poem. Religion is often times a touchy subject, mostly because there's a wide variety of people who are involved in it, but I think you absolutely nailed it with this one!

There are a few spelling/grammatical errors I found, but RachelLeeAnn already went over that. There's nothing wrong with the language it's written in or the flow though.

In conclusion I would like to say that this is an extremely well written, political, thought-provoking, and enjoyable poem! Great job on it!

P.S. I do believe there is an answer for your question "Why fight another man?" In the words of Pearl Jam, "It's evolution!" Kinda ironic when you think of it.

Well, first off,

"---- This is to all the out-of-love-and-full-of-hate-towards-other-people terrorists, who mercilessly kill innocents everyday. ----"

There's actually less of this going on then you think, it's just all the news ever reports. You want to be angry at people who are murdering other innocent people, then get mad at the world's big corporations, the people with all the money and all the power.

With that aside, the poem isn't bad, though it fits more in the lyrics category. You definitely express your thoughts through your words. You tend to repeat yourself a lot, though, so it kind of disrupts the flow. Saying the word "fight" over and over and over doesn't help your case. It distracts from the meaning of poem.

Thank you moonamorous!

Hello, maroonamorous!
RachelLeeAnn here to review! :)

Wow, I loved this! The imagery was perfection. I have couple nitpicks on the technical side; a couple grammatical errors. I've bold printed the corrections for you:

Pale blue eyes

Looking right through the vast black hole of hope.

Though hopeful we'll be but hopelessness always takes the toll.
I feel like either "though" or "but" needs to be removed- it doesn't quite make sense when using both.

Wanted to spread the white shade on globe,

but because of you, it's red.

Everything is sad;

Every noise sounds like a moan.

-

Fight, fight for the freedom.

Fight, fight the pain.

Fight, fight the hunger, fight the poverty.

But why[removed comma] fight another man?

-

I am no religion,

I am just a human, like you are.

So why would you want to ruin me?

I am no different,

I have the same red blood cells[removed comma] flowing in my body, like in yours

So why would you want to kill me?

-

You think you are a warrior,

And that one day you will rule the world.

But no, you are just a coward,

Afraid to talk, you're scared by the words.

So you pick up the AK47 and shoot bullets

But oh, don't you know, you're too weak to hold the white flags?

-

I'm no religion,

I'm just a human,like you are,

So why would you want to ruin me?

I am no different,

I have the same red blood cells, flowing through my body, like in yours

So why would you want to kill me?

I feel the repetition of this stanza is unnecessary. While, yes it is a good stanza, it's not quite powerful enough to need to be said twice.
-

Taste the taste of love once,

'Cause in the end, the hate will get you,

And drag you to the quicksand of death.

Not a death like humans.

You've still got a chance,

to throw rifles, and go with kind plans.

-

Fight, fight for the freedom

Fight, fight the pain

Fight, fight the hunger, fight the poverty

But why fight another man?

Towards the end here, I do like the repetition. This is a very powerful stanza, and it leaves readers feeling intense, and the last line really sums up your whole piece.

Great job on this! All those "corrections" are just my opinion; it still is a wonderful piece the way it is. I hope to read more from you!

Keep writing.

Uh oh ! It's funny, but I actually never happened to notice those errors. :/

I promise, from the very next time, I will go through my work over and over again and will try to eliminate flaws.
And yeah, thank you by the way. You were a great help, and as always a good friend to help me get acquainted with those SERIOUS mistakes up there. *hugs virtually*

....but was it TOO bad? :|

Not at all! I apologized if I came off as if it were.
Those were just technical errors- grammar and spelling. That stuff is easily fixed.
What really matters is the style, emotion, tone, theme, etc. and I think you did an excellent job on that!

Loved it. The violence and the organisation and the description and the references to the bullets and stuff was just so visceral. It painted a really vivid picture in my mind.
As alwyas, up to your high standard.
Well done. :)

-hugs-

Oh so YOU reviewed!! Yay!! Ok. I don't know but I really like reading all your stuff, and though I have many but you are one of my favourite YWSer. I still don't know the reason why.

Thank you any ways. ^_^

Wow! I just wanted to say - great message! A very strong poem.
You make some great points here, it's kind of anthemic in places!

I think that your second verse which starts 'Fight, fight...' would work great at the very end, maybe? It is so full of energy and leaves the reader with a strong vibe. That final question - 'Why fight another man? - really sums up your whole work for me, so that's why I think it should be emphasised more by going to the end.

Another small suggestion is maybe to think of another word for 'taste' in your final verse? Just because it's repeated twice - 'Taste the taste of love once'
I am always accidentally repeating words in my own poems too, so it's easily done, but it's also easy to fix.

I hope my suggestions help in some small way. Good luck with your writing! :)

Oh well thank you! You're very kind :)

Is it alright now?

It looks good!
I think it works well as a repeated verse like you have done here, so it's a great idea to keep it in its original position and just bring it back at the end too.
As long as you're feeling happy with it though, as it's your poem! :)
