16+ Language

In Poetry

Warning: This work has been rated 16+ for language.

My mind is a jungle of incoherence,

words and phrases

that don't make sense.

I gave up trying to make sense

of it long ago.

It's useless.

I just spit what comes out,

hope it makes sense,

then sit back to watch the chaos.

I put my face in my hands

and stare for a bit.

What the hell is my brain?

A million scientists

could study it,

but they couldn't crack the code.

Well, of course.

If I can't,

no one can.

I like it.

However, it is quite jumbled and has too much repetition of 'sense', which doesn't really seem to be there for a purpose.

I also think the humor got lost in there somewhere.

Ah, sorry for that! This is just a quick poem that I doled out and didn't really think on it too much x.x

Interesting, different. The one thing that jumps out at me about this poem is that anyone (in my opinion) can relate to it. We've all had those random days and thoughts of ours, the fears, the joys, the still moments, we've had them. Yet even having these it does not leave us empty, no it grows. Our thoughts grow as we grow our very souls stretch - our very brain is the cause of it all. The brain is a place of joy and sorrow at the same time and we ourselves have yet to figure it out. The other good thing about this poem is it makes you think. Makes you stop and relate and realize we all have a little unknown inside of us. You delivered this poem with an on the edge mood without it being too sad which I enjoyed and do myself sometimes.

Overall, again, this was fantastic. Pleas write more like this because I can't wait to hear more. I've learned already to be inspired by your works, good job.

Interesting. It was very short but also was.. well, I really can't explain it.. just kind of.. science-y? Most people don't do poems like this, which is why it is unique and sets it apart from the other poems. It was expressive, even though it only seemed like only about two hands. I loved the line when you said 'but they couldn't crack the code'.

Hey,

This is a really really interesting poem. I found my self captivated right off the bat. The use of science here really pulled me in. Its not often you can find a poem that pulls in science and still manages not to include religion or any other topic but science. I think this is of course mainly because most people don't think to try to combine science and poetry least it blow up in their face. This poem is really well written and kinda inspiring. You displayed a amazing use of vocabulary and writing skill in general while writing this. Despite this poem being focused on one topic, you managed not to repeat words more then necessary. All in all really nice job, I hope to read more of your future work.
Sincerely,
Collideascope

Interesting. I found this story to be also true. If you cant be able to find out how your own mind works. How can anyone else to do it? You story makes a lot of sense as well. Love the story and thought it was interesting :)

I love the theme of this poem! Its very interesting. The way its written is very interesting, each line flows into the next almost effortlessly. Also it somewhat reminds me of Sherlock Holmes, it might be just me but I feel like this poem related to the character a lot. Keep up the wonderful work! :)

Amazing! I love the way you initiated your poem. I also love the overall theme or purpose of your poem. It made sense and very entertaining. In addition, I love the fact that you talked about the function of the brain or why you complain about how it works that way. I feel the same thing too. I also complain.

Overall, this is great! You did great. Keep up the great work! :)
