Here I am... Laying in my bed staring at the ceiling. Sometimes I wonder why I'm not good enough. Other times I couldn't care less. I'm just another orphan living in a parentless world, at least that's what it feels like.
Here I am... Laying in the grass staring at the stars. Sometimes I wonder why they didn't try harder. Other times I blame myself. I'm just another broken heart, waiting for someone to put the pieces back together again.
Here I am... Laying on the floor in my own pool of tears. Sometimes I wonder why they aren't saving me. Other times I wonder if I'm even worth it. I'm just another lost soul, drowning in churning waves of sorrow.
Here I am... Laying in the darkness. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever break free... but wait... is that a light I see?
Here I am... Laying on the cold ground, feeling warmth of smiling faces.
"You're good enough" They say
Here I am.. Laying in loving arms, wondering why they saved me from my emptiness.
"I'll help put you back together" They say
Here I am... Swimming in a pool of peace, love and care.
"We will never let you drown" They say
Here I am...
Saved by loving, caring, amazing people, who took the place of the "donors" I call parents.
Here I am... Laying in the crisp warmth of the sun... No more wonder... No more stress...
Here I Am...

This was also an amazing piece of work. So was this poem inspired by your life? If so I am so happy that you found a good home. I like this poem, it was very well written and phrased. The dialogue and formatting was very well placed. Your poems make me thank God for all that I have. Even though times get rough, I never have to worry about belonging. I'm glad that everything worked out for you =)
Awesome work,
Fire
Thanks, and yes. Both the poems are true, but I am so thankful for everything I have now!! It just feels good to write about things like this, just to get out those locked up emotions yanno? haha but anyway! thanks for the reviews:)
Your welcome =)
This is really awesome. My younger sister is adopted so I love seeing other's stories of adoption.

One thing, I hate to be the grammar police, but for ""Your good enough" They say" it should be You're, contraction for you are. Also, in the next line laying is lowercase and In is upper, while in every other line they're switched. Then, third sentence from the top, the phrase is "couldn't care less", like you couldn't care any less than you do. Ok, sorry, grammar fixation off.
I really loved it; it's amazing to see things from another persons viewpoint and you did really well portraying your feelings in a tangible way. Awesome, that's all I'm sayin'
Have you considered making it into a song? With a few tweaks, it'd make great lyrics. Just a suggestion
Haha thanks !!!:) Yeah I see the mistakes ! I Probably should have read through it better, and I do play guitar and write music!!! so that's a very good idea!:) thanks again!
Hey!

Good luck with any editing and future pieces!!!
Josie here to review! I don't actually have many suggestions! I think you did a fantastic job with this! I loved it!
The only thing that I think I should mention is "heart" is capitalized! Im not usre if you did that on purpose or not! But honestly thats the only thing I saw!
You definitely have a talent for poetry! I have never been able to pull it off but Ive been enjoying reviewing it!
Sorry I couldnt be of more help!
