(Important AN at the enddd)
I felt Shelly push the silver metal harder onto the skin of my lower back. I could felt it penetrate my skin, but Shelly's hand shook at times so I knew she wasn't going to plunge the knife into my skin. I was given two pistols, loaded and ready, and was ordered to point them at Logan's shoulder and Alfred's head.
The 20-something of us were cramped in the small classroom, his classroom.
Mr. Right had handed us a either a loaded handgun or a sharp knife and told us where to stand and what to do. I was lucky enough to get two pistols and a knife pointed at my back. How our English teacher snuck the weapons into the school was a mystery, as were we.
Days before, Mr. Right sent home permission forms for us to stay the night at school. Nobody knew the real reason, just that Mr. Right wanted to try an experiment.
Before he gave us the weapons, he took our phones, put them in a box, put the box in a drawer, and locked the drawer.
"How well can you trust your classmates?" Mr. Right asked. He then gave us the weapons and we were told how to set up. I was terrified. "If the person in front of you moves, you will shoot or stab them."
"Do you understand me?"
We all nodded our bobble heads. This had to be a joke. "It's a sick chain reaction," my friend Laura realized. "You want us all de -"
Laura never got to finish her sentence before Mr. Right plunged a syringe into her arm. Laura fell to the ground and we gasped in horror. But no-one dared to move.
"I get what she means, too," Shelly muttered to me. "Say you moved by accident, and I stabbed you, I wouldn't, but if I did, people would turn and the cycle would continue. It's a chain reaction, like Laura said.
"So the only way to stop this is to wait it out and make sure no one hurts anybody?" I wondered.
"I guess."
I sighed. Were we just going to stand here the entire night? Our parents wouldn't worry about us until tomorrow, when we would pop outside and explain everything, hopefully getting Mr. Right arrested.
"Nobody's going to attack one other," Jared finally spoke up, lowering his gun a bit. "We grew up with each other, besides, what's the purpose of it? What's the reason?"
Mr. Right tilted his head. Then he laughed. Oh, he laughed such a cruel laugh.
"You're telling me that you never wanted to hurt one of your classmates? Never? You never wanted to slap one of them?"
"Slapping is different from shooting!"
"Are you sure?"
Jared didn't say anything. He rose his gun again and looked at the ground. We lost him. We lost Jared.
Realization then hit me like a freight train. If someone shoots your best friend, you would want to shoot them back. I understood the chain.
"I get the chain," I whispered to Shelly.
"Yeah, I already told you, you would turn and then -"
"No, the real way. If someone kills the one you love, you want to kill them."
"I'm not getting it."
"Shell, if somebody shoots someone, your first reaction would probably be to shoot them back. We can't have anyone getting shot or stabbed, for the matter."
Shelly nodded.
I cleared my throat.
"Mr. Right! What happens if we survive the night! If all of us live to tomorrow?" I asked, my voice shaky.
"That's not going to work out, darling," Mr. Right smiled.
"Why not?" I snapped.
"Because of Laura. You've already lost 1," Mr. Right suddenly pulled out a pistol and pointed it at my head. "And you can be number 2."

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
While I enjoyed this story, it left a lot to be desired. Most of it being detail. What I want to know is how this guy got signed on to be an English teacher, got parents' signed consent to hold their child for the night without knowing why, snuck about 30 weapons into the school, was allowed to stay after hours with children in his room, and corrupted the mind of a young boy by making him wonder if slapping and shooting were the same thing. I mean, really? They're completely different! Anyways, your grammar and sentence structure was good, but you should really consider extending the story to detail it more. Just a thought.
I think I'm going to write a second part describing a few days before this happened, maybe in the teachers POV. Thanks for the compliments though

You're welcome.
Uuugghh this is creepy. I personally adore short suspense stories, so this got me right away. As far as grammar and spelling, I can't see any errors. There might be a couple I missed, but I'm sure somebody will catch them. There's just one little logic issue I have, and it's possible it was explained and I just missed this; Why didn't they just go after Mr. Right? If they really didn't want to kill each other, they have all just been given deadly weapons. Why not just shoot the man who's trying to kill you all? Only thing I found that seemed slightly off.
Great writing though, the suspense was really good and the over-time explanation of what was happening was really effective to keep me interested. Good job
that awkward moment when a read points out the obvious, but yeah...I didn't think of that, but I would say they were all too afraid to move and someone realizes that if they shoot their teacher and somebody finds them standing there with guns and knifes...
but thanks
Alright, that makes sense. Might want to add a clarifying line, but that's up to you. I really enjoyed this
Im leaning toward writing a second one :p and it would be a flash back type thing
