Hestia and Nova overlooked his Zen Garden. The clouds in the sky had turned a bright mush of clouds. They each sat, criss-crossed on the floor of the temple. Hestia’s arms were handcuffed together. Nova sat next to her, deep in thought.

“You said that after the war, Terra joined the government?” Hestia questioned.

“I’m meditating. Shut up..”

You were the one who brought her up.”

“And you were the one who compared me to her.” Nova barked. He turned to Hestia, like he was speaking to an annoying little sister. “Yes. Terra had to help the president round up all the mutants who had ought to be in jail. She became just like any other dog that the president had on his leash. She would kill any mutants if she was pointed at them.”

“You’re talking out your ass.” Hestia spoke up, surprised she cared. “She saved millions of lives when she sent mutants up to Olympus in secret. She gave them a second chance at life, even if they were criminals. It led to the creation of the island that Mutants settled on.”

Nova scoffed. “Separation only leads to segregation.”

“Cease the yelling, please.” A voice chimed in. It was Little Terra by herself. She sat next to the two of them, joining them in a meditative position. She had a loving look on her face when she realized Hestia was finally captured.

“How could something like this happen? What drove a demon to go to such great lengths to create a council all about herself?”

“Don’t patronize me. This staff is actually a part of a demon named Aamon. I defeated him in battle in exchange for him to offer me a weapon that allowed me to travel through dimensions. The first dimension I found was yours, Hestia. I saw a god interfere with the life of Terra Lorenz late in her life. He was the one who caused all the terrible events in her life.”

“You’re talking about Master N.” Nova inserted.

“Who the fuck is Master N? What are you two talking about?” Hestia exclaimed.

“There is a god. He only sees us as playthings. He rules over DRU in a desperate grasp for power. It’s disgusting, is it not?” Little Terra insisted.

“How are you any better?” Hestia mumbled.

“What was that, little bud?” Little Terra accused.

“You aren’t any better. The council does the same thing. I’m nothing but a personification of a pathetic grasp for power. I should be dead, but I’m here with you two! Now that DRU knows of your existence, I’m just an object that the two of you can use to one-up each other!” Hestia spoke through tears. “If I was like a child to you, I wouldn’t have had to run away.”

Little Terra knelt down next to Hestia, who’d turned away from her. At first, her face was twisted in a raging fury. She lightened, and looked at Hestia with glistening eyes.

“The outside world is too dangerous for you, Hestia. I…I want you to be able to flourish, but I don’t know what I would do to myself if DRU was able to get their hands on you. Don’t you know what could happen if they found you? You’d be profiled as a glitch, and you would do their dirty work for the rest of your life.”

“I was never given a choice in the matter.”

Little Terra was silent, before she turned to Nova. “Let’s head to the council. I’m tired of this farce.”

Enzo Eclipse

Out of breath, Enzo entered through the large barn doors of Zeus’ castle. The gods who attended the party looked at him in confusion. They could immediately sense that he was human.

“What’s a human doing here?” A voice in the crowd sounded.

“He must be allied with that fake Hestia. Look at him, he certainly doesn’t dress like a human from this world!” Phobos yelled.

“Fake…” He didn’t have time for this, all he wanted to know was where Hestia had ran off to. “Hestia, is she here?!” He yelped, still recovering from the trip up the stairs.

“She ran off. Got no idea where she went, human.” It seemed Phobos was already beginning to get more and more fed up with everything. As he approached, Enzo nearly fell backward. He pulled a mask from his side. The Dimensional Augmented Reality (DAR) mask was the only thing that stayed on his person when he exited the simulation.

“Back off, or I’ll use this!”

“What? You’ll use that silly kitsune mask?”

“I’m serious, you don’t want to know what it does.”

Phobos stepped forward, reaching directly for Enzo’s neck.

Upon opening his eyes, Phobos floated in the air for just a second, before plummeting over the railing of Zeus’ castle. His cries echoed throughout the entirety of Olympus. The other gods who had allegedly thrown him over the railing had now moved into the balcony area. Enzo was right where he originally was, unharmed.

“What the…? What did I do?” He asked himself.

“You rewrote reality. That mask is truly magnificent.” A voice glowed from across the room. It was the goddess of Earth, Terra of this dimension. Goddess Terra pranced up to Enzo, and took his hand. It was like he was affected by a spell that made him want to follow her anywhere. “Hestia’s back on Earth. I watched her run away.”

“Is she okay?” Enzo blurted out.

“She was captured by Nova. It seems he’s joined the council.”

As he removed the mask, his hands cupped over his head. “Fuck…This is all my fault.”

Goddess Terra walked Enzo to the stairs. She sat him down next to her, overlooking Olympus. The clouds lightly settled over the sun, casting a shadow of darkness over the mountain.

“You know, even though I am considered the mother of all things, I was once quite like the Terra from Hestia’s original dimension, until I joined the Olympians and pursued a higher cause. I’m the youngest Olympian by far. I’ve only been alive about…ninety-one years now. We made real mistakes. Ones that affected the world around us at large. It’s time for you to make the same mistakes so you can improve the next generation. That includes the outcome of this story.”

Enzo was nearly blinded by her beauty. There was something sorrowful about her words, like she knew what was going to happen to him in the future.

“Is something bad going to happen? Is everyone going to be okay?”

“Follow your heart.”

Enzo stood up, he’d begun to become fed up with the goddess. “I’m sorry. I have to get to Nova!” He shouted as he began the descent down the stairs.

When Enzo reached the bottom of the stairs, he made an immediate beeline for the tent that Petra had been recovering in.

Thump!

He ran directly into someone on the street in his haste. She reached down and lifted him up like he was made of air. Enzo was relieved to finally see someone familiar.

Petra’d checked herself out of the healing hut. Her eyes were alight with a latent fury that needed to be sated.

“You better have been doing your job while I was out.” She said with a smile.

“I know right where they are. I’ve been waiting for you.”

“There’s one more stop we have to make before we go.”

Enzo Eclipse

Enzo and Petra hung on the very edge of the dimension’s creation. Petra helped Enzo onto a moon with irregular gravity, yet breathable oxygen. They sat down, looking into the universe. Stars expanded in a mass of infinity and nothingness. The planet they stood on gave a view of the nine realms, now fused all into one. Below were large lakes of lava, accented by the kingdoms of Hell, the dark abyss of the Underworld. Above him was Olympus. Tall mountains that seemed to sprout from nothing and never end. Even further above was Heaven. A cloud-like, dreamy paradise. In the very middle, sandwiched between all of this, was Earth and the rest of space.

What brought the new universe together was a huge tree filled with red leaves and golden apples. Sometimes it was invisible to the eye, other times it was fully visible. Its roots reached even above heaven. As the moon made its orbit, they came upon a tree branch that housed one golden apple.

Enzo marveled. “It’s so beautiful. How am I supposed to take it all in?”

Petra reached up, pulling a singular golden apple from the gigantic red tree.

“Years ago, Terra Lorenz gave her life to give Earth the ultimate victory over the other nine realms, who were planning to overthrow us. In all the struggle, the universe was born anew. Her essence was implanted into the universe tree. Spanning across all of creation. It’s said that anybody who picks a golden apple from her roots can make any wish. You wanted to know the truth about what and who Tempest is, right? You wanted to know who you were manufactured to be, right?”

Enzo laughed. “I don’t need this information, but thank you Petra.”

“Are you serious? This is forbidden knowledge, ya know! I’m really putting my neck on the line here.”

“From what I learned in this dimension, I don’t think Tempest and I were similar at all. We’re two totally different guys, and that’s how it’s gonna stay.”

“How noble of you. What are you going to do with it, then?”

“I guess we could wish we knew where the council was.”

Hello, My Friend!

It’s me, Raven, and I’m here to review the next chapter in this great story, using my Familiar method! Let’s dive right in, shall we?

What The Black Eyes See
~ A full analysis and breakdown

Oh snaaaap, we're learning a lot! More about Terra in her later life, more about the council, more about the Universe Tree, and poor Enzo—he was too late to prevent this, but at least he has Petra back, and I bet he's ready bring tell with him to find Hestia at this point...Let's get into the details though.

Plot and Pacing: Great! I feel like we heard a lot, without it coming off as too much, and pacing was nice as usual. Nothing new to report here!

Descriptions and Setting: Lovely! I absolutely LOVE the description and design for the Universe Tree, it just sounds so cooooool!

Characterization: WOAH, I was surprised by both Petra and Enzo, and their decisions at the universe tree. It says a lot about Petra, that she's willing to offer him this chance, while Enzo rejects learning about Tempest—the whole reason he's on Earth to begin with—to learn where the council is, to presumabl stop them and save Hestia?! Mind. BLOWN.

As for Hestia, oh man...She's already in such a difficult spot mentally, I worry about what hearing all of this from Little Terra and Nova will do to her brain...Stay strong, girl! ToT

Grammar and Wording: Overarchingly? Looks fine to me!

Where The Dagger Points
~ Some nitpicks and little recommendations

Nothing to report here! Great writing job ~

Why The Grin Widened
~ My reactions, theories, and favorite parts

Oh man, I guess it's not really a theory, but I am dreading what is gonna happen in the finale...Will Nova fight Enzo, and if so, who will win? Will Hestia be pushed to fight, and who (or what) will she be fighting for here? But by now, I also have to ask myself...WHO'S DYING THIS TIME?!?! (oo ')

Lol, anyway, let's go over highlights and reactions!

“And you were the one who compared me to her.” Nova barked. He turned to Hestia, like he was speaking to an annoying little sister.

LOL, I am loving the dynamic here already.

WOAH, the LORE!!! Not just learning about Little Terra's weapon and her demonic sort of leanings, but this info about Terra, how a god meddled in her life, and might've influenced her decisions...And this "god" is Master N, as in the guy referenced around DRU?!?! Whaaaat?? :0

“You aren’t any better. The council does the same thing. I’m nothing but a personification of a pathetic grasp for power. I should be dead, but I’m here with you two! Now that DRU knows of your existence, I’m just an object that the two of you can use to one-up each other!” Hestia spoke through tears.

I feel so bad for Hestia here, and she does make a good point! I mean, in some ways, this council does feel like a "you just sank to their level" kind of situation, with the council...Will that change anybody's mind, I wonder??

“The outside world is too dangerous for you, Hestia. I…I want you to be able to flourish, but I don’t know what I would do to myself if DRU was able to get their hands on you. Don’t you know what could happen if they found you? You’d be profiled as a glitch, and you would do their dirty work for the rest of your life.”

Okay, THIS caught me by surprise! I was not expecting a heartfelt, somewhat productive conversation between Hestia and Little Terra, of all Terras...This does shine a different light on the situation, and show another potential motive for the council to have taken care of Hestia, the way they did. Like, it wasn't ALL just using her for personal gain, but to protect her...The path to Hell is paved with good intentions, and this Terra is clearly familiar with some level of Hell, right??

“You rewrote reality. That mask is truly magnificent.” A voice glowed from across the room. It was the goddess of Earth, Terra of this dimension.

Okay, that mask really is AWESOME :0 Also, I love how you write that sort of change in universal code with the green Matrix-ey text, such a cool and unique addition to formatting that just made it all the more satisfying to read!

We made real mistakes. Ones that affected the world around us at large. It’s time for you to make the same mistakes so you can improve the next generation. That includes the outcome of this story.”

Aw...What a great lesson from Olympian Terra <33

You wanted to know the truth about what and who Tempest is, right? You wanted to know who you were manufactured to be, right?”

Enzo laughed. “I don’t need this information, but thank you Petra.”

“Are you serious? This is forbidden knowledge, ya know! I’m really putting my neck on the line here.”

“From what I learned in this dimension, I don’t think Tempest and I were similar at all. We’re two totally different guys, and that’s how it’s gonna stay.”

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!! It feels like such a big character moment for Enzo and Petra both, and is such a great setup for the finale!! Amazing!!

Our Mad Thoughts...

Overall, WOW, what a setup!! I can't wait to read the big finale—literally, can't, I'll probably read it tonight XD Great writing job! :D

Thus concludes my review. To leave off, here are some inspiring quotes, courtesy of your resident Poe freak ~

"They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."
"Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.”
"I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty."

thank you, this is definitely setup for the grand finale. Chronologically, this is the last story before the big WiP that I've been working on. I'll defintiely share it here down the line but it is a BIG one. I think it takes all the positives of the stories here and combines them into one lol

OMG, sounds awesome!! :0

Hello there, human! I'm reviewing using the YWS S'more Method today!

Shalt we commence with the atrocious S’more?

Top Graham Cracker - Hestia learns that Nova is apart of the Council of Terra, she vents out all her anger and frustration, Little Terra slightly comforts her, and Enzo reunites with Petra, both still searching for Hestia.

Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - I have no recommendations to make as of right now, but if you would like to edit this, then you may.

Chocolate Bar - I love how you described Hestia feeling upset about DRU and everything that is going on, she’d definitely be unhappy about it. I also like how Enzo is glad to see Petra, it’s sweet that she brings a sense of calmness to him.

Closing Graham Cracker - Overall, I enjoyed reading this chapter! I’ll check back for updates and I’ll read the other stories too to catch up! I really hope that the council can escape DRU and I wonder…who is Master N? Another version of Frankman or somebody else? Hmm…

I wish you a fantastical day/night! ^v^

Today I bent the truth to be kind, and I have no regret, for I am far surer of what is kind than I am of what is true.
