You are my third ear,

Always listening, understanding.

You are my eternal companion,

Making me smile every day.

You are my unmoving pillar,

The centre of peace in my life.

You are my oldest friend,

And for that I love you.

Hey there! joallover here for a review on this wonderful Review Day for team Mazarine Marauders!
Woah. This is good. Love it to the point where all I can think is "if someone dropped this in my locker, I'd turn around and kiss them."
The comparisons in this are outstanding. Some simple, some more complex. All effective!
I especially enjoyed
" You are my unmoving pillar,

The centre of peace in my life. "

This phrase is so relieving. It seems to add a sense of calm to it all. It's just so simple and yet can hold the meaning of the world in the fine print.

Another thing I love about this is the format. I've made comments about your format before. I love the two line thing. It appears to have more depth and more of an atmosphere to it and it is very effective.

I'd love to know the influence for this poem, it is so sweet :) Keep writing!
Peace Love and Fahrvergnugen!

This was very nice, even if the first line was slightly creepy! :-) (I blame GM foods)
The best verse was undoubtedly the third, as it symbolizes something widely relatable to; Somebody you can turn to in times of need, who can be relied on to be solidly to be the same, a constant surrounded by turmoil. This is, I believe, what you mean by "unmoving pillar" and "center of piece".
I still doubt a little the first verse, because, unless you are talking to yourself, it is strange that your "third ear" is "listening". (And I don't mean the genetic mutation, you have a left ear, a right ear, and space; The final front-ear. :-) )
Over all a good job, it sounds highly heartfelt.
Take That You Fiend!

Thanks!

Hey, your pal Deadman is here to give you a quick review. Well I can see the emotion in this poem, and I related to it, perhaps a little too well. Oh well though. It really is a good poem.

Dislikes-

1. Imagery, paint a little bit of an image, I know it's suppose to be simple, but it still needs to paint somewhat of a picture.

Likes-

1. The emotion, I can feel the love, and I can feel just how important this person is. Perhaps I can feel that so strongly I could maybe look over the fact there was little imagery.

2.

You are my eternal companion,

Making me smile every day.

That's part stuck me hard. I've actually said that to a certain someone in my life. So that is perhaps my favourite couple of lines. My second favourite would have to be the lines Cow posted.

Great poem! Can't wait to see more from you! Keep strong, and until next time, happy writing!

Cheers,

Deadman XD

Thanks Deadman! I still say what I said with Sis on Imagery though.

You've still got to have some even if it's simple, but like I said, the emotion covers for it.

Yeah I can see that I could add it, and I will in the future if I do something similar but for this one personally I like it simple.

Hey! Sis here for a review!

Okay so, this was a really emotional piece. I can tell that you put emotion into this! So how I do this is pros and cons ,my favorite part, then overall blah blah....Here we go!

Cons:
1. I would love it if there were more imagery in this!

Pros:
1. I love how you incorporated oldest friend. But I was wondering when you say oldest friend, I think best friend. But I don't know if you mean oldest best friend or just oldest friend. Because I don't love all my friends *gasp* so I was a bit curious. (Yes, there is a con in the pros....go ahead and kill me)

My favorite part:

You are my unmoving pillar,

The centre of peace in my life.

Overall, this was an amazing piece and was beautifully written. As I said, I could feel emotion in this but I think it might be even more emotional if you made me see, feel, and hear what you do. Let me experience this through your words! Keep smiling and keep writing! :D

:D Thanks! I didn't use much imagery because it is meant to be simple. Also that was possibly the quickest response ever! XD
