The main thing I need help on with this one is the punctuation. I've been told that I could leave it the way it is and it would be fine. Any input on that would be great. ![]()
Far Away and Long Ago
Far away and long ago
In kingdoms high and valleys low
Dragon's fire burns in the hearth
Souls confined within the earth
A palace grand upon the steep
Lakes of glass many fathoms deep
Mirrors speaking will reveal
Ancient verse will conceal
Serpents slither through the sea
A treasure chest without a key
Beauty blossoms, royals wed
Witches burned and demons dead
Crystal rain pouring down
The morning in a phantom town
Books with words and many lines
Forbidden love and tainted wine
Heroes fall from starlit skies
Villains born and made with lies
Knights mounted for foolish kings
Silver stallions with crystal wings
Enchanted doors, forever locked
Glorious galleons waiting, docked
Adventure whispers in their dreams
And never all is as it seems
And all great storytellers know
Of far away and long ago

This is a good poem. I liked it. If you want help with grammer on a poem the best way to do it is write it like a regular paragraph and then space it the way you want when you are done. If you want we to look at it closer just PM me and I'll be more specific about what is incorrect. Besides grammer it was a great poem.

I thought this poem was going to be rather cliché, but you blew my mind. Very awesome! I didn't really understand the poem until I started to get towards the end. Then I was like "OHHHH...".
i loved this poem it flows realy well and it painted a beautiful picture,
well done amazing poem
The poem was beautiful and struck a chord. The reader start's to dream about the long forgotten times and the magical beauty it possessed. Great work there.
I don't have much criticism to offer other than it is not really required that you start with a capital letter after every line. I'm sure you can work on that part.
All in all a great poem! Keep it up! =)
I know you asked for punctuational help especially, but unless the mistakes are of a certain type (the type my mum told me) I'm totally useless at that.

This comment isn't very helpful, but I love this poem and the description. The images are painted very clear in my mind. Really beautifully written!
First things first....I loved this
It was very cute (too me) and just a great poem.
I know you said you wanted help with punctuation...but I have no clue about punctuation and poems. Sorry! I'll suggest this poem to a friend of mine. They can definitely give a better review than I can for poetry. Sorry again.. :/
I do have a suggestion though:
In this...you use "and" twice to begin a line. At the end of S12 and at the beginning of S13. I suggest Taking out the "and' in S13. It could do without and wouldn't sound as repetitive.
I really liked this poem, keep up the good work!
