Don't Give up on Me

In Dear Love

I'm terrified of losing you.

Without you,

I am nothing.

You are my laugh,

You are my smile,

You are the spark of life.

Like a star taking one last exasperated breath,

To be replenished by the sun.

You are beauty,

Faith,

Joy,

Acceptance,

Friendship,

Love,

You are the sun.

Without you,

I am dead inside,

I am left for the crows,

Black satin curtain of the end.

I love you,

I am asking one last time,

Please don't give up on me,

Give me one last chance?

I'll never give up you.

A simple yet clear poem.

The last line, shouldn't it have been:
"I'll never give up 'ON' you."?

You do well in conveying your emotions in simple words. Well done!

A simple yet potent piece. I found it to have a unique structure, something that you have to get used to but can just as easily glide over without the slightest hesitation. Its concise but there is a space that you left between the lines of this poem that the reader can climb into and see its depth and understand its desperation.
Keep writing, darling, use your emotion, it works.

I see no reason to celebrate the random timing of natural events by eating poison and singing.
