Back of Your Hand (Hurricane)

In Poetry

Mindless conversation
Evoked by a sleepless night.
Mindless conversation
I thought, until
Those words,
“I want to know you better than the back of my own hand.”
They wrapped themselves around me
And held me tightly,
They broke down the walls
I had built
Meant to protect,
But only caused harm.
That was the night
I fell in love.
Though I claimed it impossible,
You saved me.

Nice, once of the better love poems I've read for a while.
I like the enjambment, really gives an nice rhythm and flow, the poem really just slides of the tongue. The content it's self was great although it gets a little cheesy at the end but it's no big deal.
A great poem. Sorry for the short review.

First of all I just have to say that this is an awesome poem. It is beautifully written and is quite easy to read. I especially like the repitition at the beginning as it just stood out for me. I couldn't find any problems at all with it so that's good. Overall, I enjoyed your poem quite a bit.
