You and Your Gibson

In Lyrics

Hey. The verses need some work, but I hope you love it anyways. Cheers.

1.
songwriter
how do you weather the storm
I know how the words
keep you so warm
how when the music starts
we can all see your heart
and its glowing like a
thousand stars

CHORUS:
down the road
we'll meet again someday
over warm Coke
on a Sunday
we'll play guitar 'til Monday
Tyler Hilton will be on the radio the whole way
because I know that I will see
you and your Gibson
following me

2.
fresh smiles and faces
maybe some different faces
living
like you mean it
never need to clean it
so regrets no false believing
is that why you don't care if the water is
cold

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
our worn in-and-out Converse kicks
will be more than shoes after this
they'll lead the way to
whatever the melody leads through

CHORUS:
we met that time on the road
on that sunny day
we talked about love over warm Coke on a Sunday
we played guitar 'til Monday
Tyler Hilton was playing our songs the whole way
I play your Gibson every day of the week
because I know
you'll always be following me

I think it was great! The title just grabbed my eye. I really would like to know the tune to it. Amazing, just amazing.

Thank you so much! I mean, I know you only had a little to work with, but you're just the best!

I likey. Its good how you were so specific over what you were describing for e.g the warm coke and the converse bit. I agree with Demeter in that the bridge is really good. I really like the start and the whole 1st verse because i can totally understand it. Well done :)

Hey, Nightowl! :)

The title caught my attention, so I decided to drop by and have a look. All in all, I haven't read many lyrics on YWS, but I can quite honestly say that this is one of my favourites of those that I have.

and its glowing like a

thousand stars

I didn't like this so much, firstly because I'm thoroughly tired of the whole stars image – it seems to stay the same throughout times. Secondly, I wouldn't necessarily say that stars glow?

My favourite parts of this song:
- the interesting way you started off
- the rhyme "someday -- Sunday" = <3
- the bridge section. I adored it.

Overall, very nice. I'd like to know what music genre this song would belong to :)

Really good! You should think about maybe making the song a little longer. You have talent keep workng on it!!
