Summer, Summer

There is this feeling in my chest;
It warns me of summer days,
And familiar summer pains.
A voice in my head whispers to be strong,
And another whispers to stay strong.
There is magic in this season;
I feel it calling out like a siren's song:
Run, run, there's things to be done!
There are feelings your heart has yet to feel,
And thoughts your mind has yet to think.
Nothing enchants the heart like the long summer sun,
Or excites romance like the pale summer moon.
Nothing proves youth like temporary lovers,
Or charing secrets in the dead of night.
I wish, I wish, to be young forever,
In a summer that never ends.
