Hey MissSalvatore.
A sad swan’s song has to be the most eye catching and evocative title I’ve seen recently. From the get go it just oozes grace and finesse, had me hooked from the get go.
I really love the simplicity and sincerity of this piece, it’s the centerpiece and you manage it so well. Also I really love lizards.
I don’t have much to say in way of improving or whatever but I really loved this write up and again I can’t stress enough how well you manage the simplicity and sincerity of your words. It gives a uniqueness to the voice and heart of the poem.

...okay. I might have clicked this because I love swans to the point of writing obsessively about them and needed to read your poem.
Anyway!
This is by far my favorite part of the poem. I have so many questions! Like... what lizards??? Why are they near your bed??? Why are they irritating? How are the girls like the lizards? Honestly, I kind of wished you delved into this image more because it is FASCINATING and I want to read more!
Anyway! If you write an expanded poem about lizards, like... please. Let me know. I want to read it!
That lizard part is due to the fact that I hate lizards but they're are always before me disgusting me 🩹

I really liked this, it feels very transparent and personal, but also relatable. I think it transcends gender too, as a boy, I felt I could relate to the message of this and how i got jealous of those who seemed more likeable than me and i feel this poem accurately captured the want to be liked more. It’s a very well made poem.

Im half writing this because I need points and half writing this because im actually interested in what you wrote. This is my first review so bear with my im trying. Reading it I can tell you think lowly about yourself, maybe like you think your not as good as other girls. I dont know anything about you but I feel what your writing. "I wish I was a princess and not a poet" thats good writing, it tells people so much about you in such a short amount of words. Im sorry for ehat your going through if this isint a fictional story, loneliness hurts, I know I feel lonely too. Just keep writing, poets are smarter than princesses. Just maybe try to compare yourself to the "prettier" girls" less because that won't make anything better.

This is quite beautiful, and sounds like a diary entry, or a letter (not sure if you meant to do this.)
This is so relatable, knowing that even though you're just trying to do something you love, it's not considered "Normal" to society.
This is also a feeling that is all too familiar. Seeing other people smiling, happy, as you fade deeper into the shadows, becoming invisible.
This poem is great, a definitely captures the feeling of being invisible.
