Hey there! It's ZeldaIsShiek here to review another quintessential piece of literature that made my day and win this Review Day by helping the Red Pandas stay in first place and reaching my goal of 80 reviews. I might even get to 100, if I work hard enough. I am really excited to review this amazing piece of art that you have created, and maybe add some witty humor as well. Anyway, that's enough idle chatter from me. Let's get into the review.

Hey there Lake and thanks for tagging me, I needed a little poem about cats right now.
Okay, this is literally perfect. For as long as I can remember, we've always had a cat (for the record we've had ten over the last ten years or so) and I can confirm that this poem portrays both sides to the average cat. Strange and majestic. You just forgot to include how they won't eat from the food dish if they can see the bottom. My cat Bailey actually needs to be walked to his food and the washroom because he is a precious baby and he rejects his water dish.
Anyway, this poem is beautiful and deserves a like (wish I could like it more than once...)!

I FREAKIN LOVE THIS!!! im a huge cat lady i have two of my own and i thought this was absolutely adorable! i actually do listen to sounds of cats purring it’s so relaxing. once i put a youtube sound of purring under my shirt and my cat started sleeping where the sound came from and started purring too; we had a moment haha. i love everything about this poem althought i think it will sound better if you say me instead of thee because saying thee kind of sounds a bit forced. i freakin love your poetry, the flow is great and the descriptions are relatable and beautiful omge!! <3

Oh wow. I love it. As someone who doesn't own any cats, (and has never owned one) I say it's a pretty cool representation of them. I like the rhyming part too.

"I sleep on your bed,

making it my own,

and when you are away,

I'm at home all alone."

yeaaaaahhh............ You did a great job making than creepier than I thought they were. .
Imagining how they plot things against us when they are alone. all alone. alone with themselves. Alone with no human beings near. alone? or with other cats plotting to take control over the planet? .

"I walk around the food bowl,

sniffing out what's there,

and if there's nothing good,

I look at you and stare."

That's why I don't own any cats

My precious fur baby is on the bed with me, and she's being so cute, so this is the perfect time to review this shall we?

Okay, so this poem was sooo cute. Omg, I loved it! I thought the rhyming was a cute touch. The only thing I didn't like was the second to last stanza. The rhyming there was clearly forced and it was jarring, because the poem was really nice up until that point and then it just threw me off. I recommend reworking that stanza, since "thee" doesn't fit the overall tone of your poem. It's very... old? Proper? And the rest of your poem is more modern. Plus, that stanza is false, I must say, because cats do a pretty good job of catching (and killing) mice >:) haha but if you wanna keep the poem light and fluffy, then no worries, you can still keep it in! Just rework it so it isn't so awkward.

But yeah, other than that, this poem was super cute and refreshing to read! Most of it applies to my cat, except the scratch post part. We bought her one a long time ago, but she didn't use it. -_- LOL

Omg I LOVE CATS. This was adorable and really creative, I think it's an amazing point of view that I probably never would have thought to wright in, so awesome job! Your word usage was really simple, but I think that just says more about the cat's personality because it still gets the point across. I think the visual was adorable too. My brain went straight to a winter day in a small cottage with an adorable cat just chasing mice by the fire. The way you formatted the poetry was really creative too. In my opinion, it emphasized the bounciness and playfulness of the cat's personality. If that makes sense. I still can't get over how cute and heartwarming this was. Thanks, I needed it!

I love this poem! As a cat owner and lover, I think it's a perfect representation of what being a cat is all about. <3
