-The Swan Goddess-

-A/N: I almost put something really bad when I wrote this...I hope you don't find what I almost put-

Over the water she glides

In grace and beauty

A vision of dignity

A lesson in gentleness

An effortless display of

Feminine potency and potential

A quiet confidence

Can be seen in her bearing

The proud lift of her head

The arc of her neck

When she spreads her wings

Showing her strength, her power

All who see her

Understand her majesty

She is resilieint

Undaunted in the face of change

She is the lady of transformation

This poem is kickbutt as heck and feminist oh my geez. This poem reminds me of the gracefulness of figure skaters and ballerinas. I think this poem addresses the beauty of the nature in women. Your high level vocabulary usage is incredible for your age! What I love about poems is that everyone interprets it differently. It as I said before can have feminist undertones, the majesty and profound power of women, the gracefulness of dancers, it could highlight the beauty of nature and animals and the importance of that. How nature can be fragile, innocent and beautiful in the harsh, cruel world we live in. The only critique I have is in the sentence “all who see her”. I think it would be better if you put “to all who see her” so you are specifically adressing the audience more. Your poems are brilliant and if you keep up your momentum you are going to be publishing like a famous novel or book of poems! <3

Thank you, you shower me with compliments...and normally I don't like that, but when it comes to writing...that's a different story...pun intended.

haha omge i love u

Hi! Danni here for a (late) review!
First off, I love swans. They’re so beautiful and magnificent and majestic. My dad and I go to the lake to feed them and I gave them all names (although I could never tell which one was which.) They are my second favourite bird.
This is brilliant. I like the way it flows. It’s really well-written and perfectly captures the idea of a swan. Props to you!
I couldn’t find what you almost put, so you must have done a good job covering it up XD
Keep up the good work!

I know this is old but oh well! I need reviews and I've had this on list of things to review so yeah.

Hello, E.E here for a possibly quick review and maybe some utter nonsense! Grim is here as well, drinking hot cocoa and being a slacker. *Grim looks over, glaring* So, lets get started. :p

So, the first thing I noticed is that a bunch of places are missing commas. The line or lines, would be "Over the water she glides", "In grace and beauty", "A vision of dignity", "A lesson in gentleness", "An effortless display of", "A quiet confidence", "Can be seen in her bearing", "The proud lift of her head", "When she spreads her wings", "All who see her", "She is resileint" and "Undaunted in the face of change". Also, the word "resileint" was spelled wrong. It should be "resilient". Otherwise, it flowed very well and had a certain charm to it that I haven't read before.

The meaning, well, I think others have that area covered so I will just skip ahead to ending this review!

Overall, I liked the poem and keep up the good work! Happy Thanks- WAIT, MERRY CHRISTMAS, I CAN SAY THAT NOW! OR HAPPY HANUKA! I really need to go now Grim has souls to reap and he needs more cocoa. He has a problem, seriously. Cheerio and fruit loops to you!

Thanks Fluma, I noticed I spelled that wrong after I published it, I was like, "OMFG!!!!!!!!! Why didn't I fix it!!!!!!????????" XD No worries, I'll fix right now!

Oooooooooooooo I love this. it really gives the image of grace and almost makes me imagine a ice dancer. the way they glide over the ice with such confidence is very similar to this. I am very curious to what you're referring to in the beginning when you say you almost put something bad. Its almost unkind to leave me in such wonder XD anyways, i really liked this. keep writing my dude!

Well, I'll PM you what I meant by that, and thank you, I appreciate your review, I never thought I would even get one!!XD

I'm not great at reviewing poetry, so I'll just leave this as a short little comment. I really love your poem! It's short and beautiful. I hope you continue to publish your poetry through the site. <3

I'm not really a big fan of poetry, so it makes it even, but I only decided to post it because I got the idea for this through a class at school.
